Ranong, a province with a wide variety of attractions, from the sea and mountains to the city, offers a complete travel experience.
This time, we will talk about traveling to Ranong in a nature-loving way. Even though it is the summer season, we can still encounter light rain and a comfortable atmosphere, just like the atmosphere we captured in this article.
Our journey began in the heart of Ranong town. We inquired with the locals and learned that the songthaew (shared taxi) we needed to reach our accommodation, which passed by Ton Phet Waterfall, could be found at the town market. (The friendly locals are happy to help, so don't hesitate to ask!) While waiting for the songthaew, which could take some time, we decided to explore the surrounding area.
We stumbled upon a charming little cafe called "Mingalaba BABA" after a short walk. The inviting atmosphere of the cafe was a welcome respite from the heat.
Order drinks and desserts, sit and eat to cool down. The atmosphere in the shop is very friendly. The owner is very kind and asked me about the tourist information. We had a pleasant chat.
I ordered a brownie with ice cream and it was delicious. The brownie was perfectly sweet, not too much. I loved it.
After recharging our bodies from the morning heat, we set off for our accommodation. The journey took about half an hour by songthaew from the city center, costing only 30 baht per person.
We have arrived!! Ton Phet Greennery Garden Resort The atmosphere is amazing, very quiet and refreshing. In the afternoon, it started to drizzle, making the air cool and comfortable. There is also a stream flowing next to it, so you can sit and listen to the sound of the water.
- The tents we are staying in today are quite spacious inside, allowing for comfortable sleeping.
I encountered the owner of the accommodation who was tie-dyeing fabric. I asked them to teach me, and the lesson was free. However, there was a cost for the materials, which varied depending on the size of the fabric being dyed. For my small shoulder wrap, the cost was only 100 baht.
The fabric's yellowish hue is due to the use of turmeric in the dyeing process. This readily available local ingredient was chosen for its ease of access.
"This isn't our work, haha! It was done by another customer. They'll hang it up to dry, and once it's finished, they'll send it to our house. We can wait to see the results at home."
After tying the cloth, I walked to play in the water by the stream next to the accommodation for a while. I must say that the water is very cold and clear. The surrounding view is also very green and refreshing.
Venture out and explore the surroundings of your accommodation. Lush trees and verdant mountains in the distance offer a sense of tranquility and rejuvenation.
The text describes a delightful experience at an accommodation where guests can enjoy both strolling and playing in the water. The narrative highlights the convenience of having meals prepared for them, including a grill and ingredients, all included in the accommodation cost.
And that concludes our day trip! We still have other trips planned in Ranong, so stay tuned for more updates. Until next time, goodbye!
