The rain had stopped falling, and the two-wheeled vehicles could start running again. It wasn't too late yet, so I decided to take the car to a nearby waterfall, Mae Klang Waterfall, which was not far from the resort.
The entrance to Mae Khlang Waterfall is not deep, and it takes a short walk from the front lawn to reach it. When we arrived, the water in the waterfall was quite high, so much so that the officials had to put up a sign saying it was "dangerous." We had to be careful of any abnormalities that could occur at any time.
Following the stream for a short distance, we encountered Mae Klang Waterfall, a large waterfall that serves as the gateway to Doi Inthanon National Park. Today, during the rainy season, the waterfall roared with power and intensity, creating a natural spectacle of unparalleled beauty.
Mae Klang Waterfall Viewpoint
This is a concise and accurate translation of the Thai phrase "จุดชมวิวน้ำตกแม่กลาง". It is suitable for use in an academic context and avoids personal pronouns, colloquialisms, and unnecessary information.
The high water levels, combined with the murky and fast-flowing currents, rendered some of the walking paths impassable. The ominous warning signs further discouraged us from venturing closer to the edge. Consequently, we opted to explore the area by walking alongside the water, seeking suitable vantage points for photography.
Following the winding path, you will encounter a raging torrent.
After visiting Mae Klang Waterfall, we still had some time before sunset, so we decided to drive to Vachirathan Waterfall. Before we even parked the car, we could hear the roar of the waterfall in the distance. On our way up, the aroma of boiled corn filled the air. At the rest stop below, there was a coffee shop that also sold hot boiled corn.
Before reaching the waterfall sign, a fine mist of water began to intermittently spray down. Initially mistaking it for rain, I soon realized it was the spray from the waterfall, reaching almost as far as the resting area below.
As we ascended to the second-floor landing, our bodies became drenched from the powerful spray of water. Many people began to open their umbrellas, while others donned their raincoats.
Wachirathan Waterfall is likely the highest waterfall in Doi Inthanon National Park (excluding Mae Ya Waterfall). The higher the waterfall, the greater the impact force of the water, resulting in widespread mist. Visitors standing nearby will inevitably get soaked.
Despite the drizzle, we continued our ascent, undeterred by the dampness. The allure of the cascading waterfall beckoned us onward. As we reached the third resting platform, we joined the throngs of visitors capturing the breathtaking spectacle of the towering waterfall.

After admiring the waterfall until I was soaked, I went down to a rest stop, intending to eat some boiled corn. But as I walked around, I forgot to ride my motorbike back to the resort!
