Pang Ung, Suphan Buri: A New Tourist Destination
Pang Ung, Suphan Buri, also known as the Hub Kaewong Reservoir, is a new tourist destination in Suphan Buri province. It was opened to the public in December 2015. Within days of its opening, the reservoir became a popular tourist attraction, thanks to the power of social media. Visitors flocked to the site to admire its beauty and experience the atmosphere of Pang Ung, Suphan Buri, or the Hub Kaewong Reservoir.
Pang Ung, Suphan Buri: A Natural Escape
Pang Ung, also known as the Huay Wong Reservoir, is a natural tourist destination in Suphan Buri, Thailand. This relatively small reservoir, covering approximately 85 rai (5.3 acres) according to Google Maps, is surrounded by agricultural land and low-lying mountains. This unique setting creates a refreshing and cool climate, especially at night, throughout most of the year. During the winter months, however, the temperature drops significantly compared to surrounding areas.
At ten o'clock at night, the view from the floating accommodation on the water reveals a valley. If the weather is good and the sky is clear, you can see the stars filling the sky and have the opportunity to easily see the Milky Way. There is no electricity, no phone signal, and life is free from social media, in a truly slow-paced way.
Nestled amidst the picturesque valley of Huay Wong, the reservoir offers a unique glamping experience. Visitors can choose from floating bungalows or set up their own tents (or rent one) for a truly immersive encounter with nature. Pang Ung, Suphan Buri, embraces a rustic charm, devoid of electricity. Instead, kerosene lamps illuminate the night, while the absence of phone signals allows for a complete digital detox.
