After descending from Siriphum Waterfall, take a slight right turn at the small junction to reach the "Inthanon Royal Agricultural Station," established upon the initiative of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the ninth monarch of Thailand.
With the royal intention to assist these hill tribe people, providing them with a permanent area for cultivation and the transfer of knowledge in new agricultural methods, improving their living standards through a shift towards sustainable agriculture.
This led to the establishment of the "Khun Inthanon Royal Project Research Station" in 1979 at Ban Khun Klang. The station serves as another research facility for the Royal Project Foundation, conducting research on floriculture, ornamental plants, vegetables, and fruit trees.
This initiative aimed to promote research findings and translate them into income-generating opportunities for both Karen and Hmong farmers in surrounding villages. It also focused on developing basic infrastructure, social development, and the conservation of upstream forests and streams. The ultimate goal was to establish the "Inthanon Royal Agricultural Station" in 2007.
This lush green space boasts a diverse array of plant life, from towering trees to delicate shrubs, as well as a vibrant collection of ornamental plants, creating a captivating spectacle for visitors to admire.
In the center is a large lake with several swans, including one that was donated by Bird Thongchai McIntyre.
