On Saturday, the "Students Remember the Teacher" exhibition was held at the Farang Teacher's House on Ratchawithi Road. The Silpakorn University Alumni Association, together with the Farang Teacher's House and the Silpa Sri Group, jointly organized this event on September 8, 2018, which is the birth month of Professor Silpa Bhirasri, at the Farang Teacher's House, Internal Audit Office of the Army, Ratchawithi Road.

To commemorate Professor Silpa Bhirasri, an Italian artist who naturalized as a Thai citizen and dedicated his life to the art world. He was both the father of Silpakorn University and the pioneer of modern art in Thailand.

Mrs. Lawan expressed her joy at having the opportunity to co-host the event at this house. She stated that today was a good opportunity to hold the event and commemorate Professor Sin, allowing all of his beloved students to meet and talk to each other.

Sewet Thestham, National Artist of Thailand in Visual Arts (Sculpture), presided over the ceremony and said that this was his first visit to Ajarn Farang's house. He expressed his delight in being part of the effort to exhibit artworks at this residence.

Nid Chatchanok Dulyarat, Executive Team of Baan Ajarn Farang, presented souvenirs to the National Artist.

Lilit Laesmai Thai, President of the Silpakorn University Alumni Association, expressed his delight in co-organizing the event. He personally believes that simply visiting the house is worthwhile, as it was the residence of Professor Silpa during his time in Thailand. Additionally, attendees have the opportunity to admire the impressive works of numerous talented artists.

Mr. Suphakit Suthipitak, a member of the Baan Farang management team, said that the theme of this exhibition reflects, references, and showcases the feelings of the students who miss Professor Silp. By bringing this house back to life, after discovering that it was the first house he lived in, they feel very proud to have the opportunity to co-organize this event. They want to preserve the atmosphere and feeling of this event forever. There will be various activities to carry on the art and culture, and they will try to communicate with artists and the general public to make them aware of and honor Professor Silp's legacy.

Niwat Mahaboon, President of the Silapa Sri Group and Project Manager of the Art Project, Baan Ajarn Farang, said that the concept of the work is to view art teachers as skilled sculptors. Therefore, it is a starting point to present the knowledge of art and sculpture in Thailand, which has many details and beauty, for everyone to experience closely.

The organizers also aim to provide a joyful experience through the artworks of three national artists who have already made a name for themselves both domestically and internationally. These artists include Mr. Wichai Sithirat, Mr. Sarawut Duangchampa, and Mr. Sewet Tesdham. Additionally, works from other honorary artists, including sculptures and paintings, will be exhibited at the event.

Silpakorn University, in collaboration with the Fine Arts Department, the Silpakorn University Alumni Association, and the Silpakorn University Student Council, invites you to join the 126th Anniversary Ceremony of Professor Silpa Bhirasri on Saturday, September 15th at the Professor Silpa Bhirasri Monument at Silpakorn University, Phra Racha Wang Sanam Chan Palace, Nakhon Pathom Province, starting at 9:30 AM onwards.
