Riverside scenery

Certainly, such an interesting program is not to be missed. Having received an invitation, we must follow the invitation. I believe many people will remember the "Angsana Boat". This is the same boat that His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, Rama IX, used for his royal sea voyage many years ago. This makes the trip even more interesting.

The Angsana boat is docked at the Royal Thai Navy Auditorium.

The Angsna: A Flagship for Royal Hospitality

The Angsna, meaning "Pride of the Forest" and named after the national flower of the Royal Thai Navy, is a prominent reception vessel serving as a platform for welcoming distinguished guests. Constructed in 2003, this flagship boasts the capacity to host a diverse range of social events, with its adaptable spaces seamlessly accommodating various event formats. The Angsna can comfortably accommodate between 150 and 250 esteemed guests, making it an ideal venue for hosting dignitaries, government officials, and high-ranking military personnel.

The Angsana ship is now available for private and organizational rentals, including catering services. For inquiries, please visit: http://www.navyhall.com. This service is similar to the catering service provided today.

The Allure of Thailand's Waterways: A Historical and Cultural Perspective

Panjitt Sandhattakarn, a representative of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), emphasizes the significance of water-based tourism in the country. Thailand's rivers, she argues, hold a unique charm, boasting a rich history spanning over 600 years, from the Dvaravati and Lopburi periods to the Thonburi and Rattanakosin eras. The central region, in particular, is home to numerous important rivers lined with ancient sites, artifacts, and invaluable Siamese heritage, offering a glimpse into the country's past. Additionally, the traditional way of life practiced by riverside communities adds to the allure, captivating tourists with its authenticity and cultural richness.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) recognizes the potential of river tourism and has actively promoted it in various waterways. TAT Central Region has continuously promoted tourism in these routes. "TAT is pleased to collaborate with the Royal Thai Navy and the Royal Thai Army to promote water tourism, allowing both Thai and international tourists to experience the wonders of river travel," said Ms. Panjitt.

The boat sailed along the Chao Phraya River, ending at the Rama VIII Bridge. It then turned back to Sathorn Bridge, passing the suspension bridge before returning to dock at the Navy Auditorium, marking the end of the "Angsana Cruise…Following the Heritage of Siam (Amazing Thailand)" journey for the day.

Thank you for watching.
