Prior to the Shinkansen's trans-island journey, I boarded the LTD. Exp. from Hakodate Station to Aomori.

Our goal was to reach Shin-Aomori Station to catch the Shinkansen back to Tokyo, as the train service only extended to this station at the time of our visit.

This sentence describes a journey from Hakodate to Aomori, mentioning a section that involves traveling under the sea. The information provided includes the time of entry into the tunnel, the deepest point, and the time of exit.

We had planned to spend half a day exploring the area around the station, so we booked our return trip for noon. However, this train was delayed, and an announcement was made for passengers going to Tokyo to change trains at the previous station. When we arrived at the station, we were still taking our time, and the station staff were concerned that we would miss our train. They even told us that we didn't have to change trains yet. The staff here are incredibly friendly.

Upon arrival, we checked our luggage and headed straight to a restaurant. The area is renowned for its scallops, so we couldn't miss out on trying them.

We chose Osanai restaurant, located on Shin-machi Dori Street, opposite the train station.

After a satisfying meal, we took a leisurely stroll around the area. Within walking distance of the station, there are several attractions worth exploring, including the Aomori Prefecture Tourist Center, the Aomori Bay Bridge, and the A-Factory.

The local specialty is apple-based products and fresh apples, which can be purchased at the A-Factory.

After a short walk, which did not satisfy us, we had to go to Shin-Aomori Station to prepare for our return to Tokyo and our eventual return home.

This concludes my 10-day trip to Japan, covering Tokyo and Hokkaido.
