The End of September Weekend in Phuket: A Relaxing Escape from the Monsoon
The end of September weekend in Phuket found us amidst the monsoon season. After days of heavy rain, the skies finally cleared, revealing a beautiful post-storm landscape. The two rain-free days were a welcome respite, offering cool breezes and perfect weather for relaxation and sightseeing.
Despite being a local resident, I still enjoy staycations in Phuket. The convenience of not having to travel to another province is a major draw. A short 30-minute drive from the city center brought us to our chosen hotel.
The main reason for our visit was a promotional BBQ buffet offered every Friday by the hotel. We indulged in the delicious buffet while sipping wine, followed by cocktails at the 360 Sky Bar (an unplanned indulgence). Realizing that driving back home might not be the best idea, we decided to spend the night at the hotel.
We opted for a Deluxe Panorama room, which cost 3900 baht per night, including breakfast. This price is for the low season; during high season, the cost could easily reach several thousand baht.
The infinity pool here offers breathtaking views of Kata Noi Beach, with a glass edge that provides an unobstructed panorama. The pool seamlessly blends with the horizon, creating an illusion of endless water stretching towards the sea.
Upon arriving at the hotel, I parked my car in the convenient indoor parking lot located on the B1 floor. After parking, I took the elevator to the lobby on the 1st floor. The lobby boasts an open-air design, offering a refreshing breeze that kept the atmosphere cool and comfortable. In the center of the lobby, a four-poster bed suspended from the ceiling resembled a swing, with two adorable baby elephants waiting for us. This unique sight immediately sparked a sense of excitement and anticipation for our stay.
The hotel welcomed us with cold towels and longan juice. The check-in table had a glass jar with betta fish or small fish, which looked very lively and vibrant.
A king-size bed with a very comfortable mattress that is not too soft (as a mattress that is too soft can cause back pain). All pillows are down pillows.
The view from the balcony of the room allows for an immediate view of the sea upon waking.
The room boasts a unique and charming decor. The headboard is adorned with Thai fabric, featuring an adorable baby elephant nestled amidst the alphabet. The sofa is adorned with numerous decorative pillows, and a woven bag containing beach towels is provided for guests who wish to visit the beach (the hotel offers complimentary shuttle service to Kata Beach at regular intervals).
Woven bag with towel for carrying to the beach
An antique alarm clock on the bedside table (there are a lot of plugs here). The naked Nanon sitting on the clock is not from the hotel, haha. I brought this from Japan.
A seasonal welcome fruit basket, presented in a stylish Thai container, adorned the bedside table.
The 38-square-meter room features a sexy shower and bathtub, as the bathroom and bedroom are separated by a clear glass wall. While a vertical curtain can be drawn to close it off, we left it open.
After freshening up, we prepared for dinner at 7:00 PM. However, before dinner, we made a stop at the highlight of the evening: the 360 Sky Bar to sip cocktails and watch the sunset, whetting our appetites.
360 Sky Bar
The 360 Sky Bar (Stunning Sunset Ocean View) offers a truly relaxing and enjoyable experience, living up to the hotel's name. The breathtaking views are a must-see for anyone visiting the hotel.
360 Sky Bar: Panoramic Views and Exotic Cocktails
The 360 Sky Bar offers breathtaking panoramic views of Kata Noi, Kata, and Karon beaches, making it the perfect spot to witness a stunning sunset. Open from 5:00 PM to midnight, the bar boasts a vibrant atmosphere with colorful lights and beanbag seating, creating a relaxed and inviting ambiance.
Indulge in their signature Exotic Nitrogen Cocktails, a unique and refreshing experience. Enjoy the soothing sounds of their curated music selection while soaking in the panoramic views. Whether you're catching up with friends or simply seeking a relaxing evening, the 360 Sky Bar promises an unforgettable experience.
Enjoy the atmosphere at the rooftop bar of the hotel. It's amazing!
Nitrogen Signature Cocktails with a 25% discount during Happy Hour from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM.
As the sun sets and the cocktails flow, it's time for dinner. Every Friday night, the hotel hosts a BBQ Buffet Dinner, normally priced at 999 baht. However, thanks to a promotional voucher received at the K-SME event, the price is reduced to just 599 baht for superstars. Soft drinks are included, but alcoholic beverages are not.
Large, fresh river prawns with plenty of roe, fresh crabs, ark shells, and large New Zealand mussels.
Japanese cuisine includes sushi and rice balls. However, the wasabi here is particularly potent and flavorful, surpassing even that of renowned restaurants.
Chicken satay and BBQ pork ribs, a delicious treat.
The Pad Thai looks delicious. You can ask the staff to stir-fry it hot, or you can eat it from the plate that has already been stir-fried.
The atmosphere around the poolside area, next to the lobby, which is the venue for the buffet every Friday.
A zone with fresh, large seafood, ready for the staff to grill for us. We can sit back and relax while they cook for us.
As guests enjoyed their dinner, the hotel put on a show for international tourists, featuring traditional Thai dances such as the Ram Thai, Ram Manorah, and Law Kradong Mai. The dancers even invited guests to join them in a circle dance.

Breakfast at Roy Dee Restaurant
One of the most impressive aspects of the stay was the extensive breakfast spread. We opted for the outdoor seating area, allowing us to enjoy the view while we ate. It's advisable to arrive early to avoid the heat (despite the provided umbrellas) and secure a table, as the outdoor area tends to be consistently occupied by guests.
The breakfast room is located downstairs, accessible by walking down the stairs from the poolside. The room offers a buffet line and various cooking stations.
Indoor air-conditioned table zone
The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of ham and sausages, as well as a diverse selection of cheeses (more than I've seen at large, famous hotels, which impressed me as a cheese lover). They also have Phuket-style coconut pancakes, which are meant to be dipped in sugar. There's also congee with pork and mushrooms, chicken congee, various egg dishes, and noodles that you can customize yourself. They have a variety of breads, croissants, soy milk, salads, bacon, fruits, and more. The food is truly excellent, and you can also order fresh coffee from the staff. I ordered a cappuccino, which was just how I like it.
After breakfast, I returned to my room to rest until it was time to check out at noon.
Before checking out, you can also visit the hotel's souvenir shop.
The hotel's shuttle bus to Kata Beach takes only 5 minutes to reach Kata Noi Beach.
In summary, our stay here was impressive. We ate well, slept soundly, enjoyed breathtaking views, and had a lot of fun, living up to the name.
