The rainy season has arrived, and I am reminded of this place again: "Pa Bong Piang". During the rainy season, wherever you go, you are bound to encounter rain. The higher you climb the mountains, the more rain you will encounter. But the rain also makes the paths and places we visit lush and vibrant.

Even though we have been here before, the atmosphere is definitely not the same. The last time we visited was at the end of October, when the rice paddies were already in bloom and had mostly been harvested. So we decided to come back again, this time to see the green fields that had just been planted. That's how this trip came about. But this time, we have our friends from the #CB500F motorcycle gang joining us on the adventure. This has made our usual trip even more fun, and I've captured some of the atmosphere to share with you.

#A trip with only a little bit of gravel road, really?

Let's go!

Our journey began on Thursday evening, September 27, 2018. We met at the PTT gas station at Bangkok University and set off around midnight. Along the way, we did not capture any of the scenery, but we did stop at a rest stop.

Path

Bangkok - Nakhon Sawan - Tak - Kamphaeng Phet - Lampang - Chiang Mai

After that, enter Chom Thong District - Inthanon - Mae Chaem - Ban Nam Ok Hu - Pa Bong Piang.

Certain sections of the Nakhon Sawan - Tak route are currently undergoing road construction.

Let's warp to our destination now.

We have arrived at "Bong Piang Forest".

We have arrived at a bright new morning with a light drizzle. We reached around noon (we had a bit of fun along the way 555).

After parking the car and putting away their belongings at their accommodation, the group decided to rest as they had been traveling all day.

While our friends went their separate ways to rest, we decided to head to the market to buy ingredients for a barbecue dinner. We asked the homeowner to drive us to the market.

This is our landlord, "Na".

After finishing our shopping, we returned home to find ourselves stuck in a traffic jam. Our car was unable to climb the steep incline, leaving us stranded. With no other option, we decided to walk, despite the slight uphill climb. The exertion left us slightly out of breath.

Sister Na called for help to pick us up, and we could only stare blankly.

Is this to pick us up? .... No, haha, we can walk. We're tough enough.

Although Na had already prepared food for us, we still wanted to have a barbecue, so we bought additional ingredients ourselves.

We had a surprise party for one of our group members today, but I can't share any pictures.

Let's take a break. Tomorrow, I'll take you to see the green rice fields.

Another day at Pa Bong Piang this morning

The rain continued to fall intermittently throughout the morning, accompanied by a thick blanket of fog.

The rain has stopped. Let's go see the rice fields. My brother Nam will drive us there. Let's hop in the back of the pickup truck.

A short drive brought us to the terraced rice fields we had been searching for. Without further ado, let's take a look.

And our happiness ended at the white mist that crept in, but it wasn't mist, it was rain.

After breakfast, they showered, packed their belongings, got dressed, and moved on to their next destination.

Let's take a picture before the fog arrives.

The rain has started again, so let's get going.

Riders, please proceed down on your own. Passengers, please wait for the pickup truck to take you to the meeting point below.

Why are our tandem lines waiting to get on the pickup truck? Let's see.

The path will be a bit muddy, because of the rain and the dew. After going down, I have to come back up to check on my friends.

The sentence you provided is in Thai. Here is the translation in English:

"Even though we passed the checkpoint, it doesn't mean we're safe. This is my friend's car, and it won't shift gears. That's why it's in the state you see it in. We have to help lift it."

Let's move on to the next checkpoint. Our mission is not over yet.

At this point, I went up the leg and stuck it around once. It hurt like hell. 555.

After a harrowing journey, all vehicles arrived safely.

We waited for our connecting flight first. When we went down, we just saw the car that was going to pick up the garden going up.

With the luggage loaded, it's time to resume our journey.

Upon encountering the dark path, there is a sense of excitement.

Before entering the city, we went up to the top of Doi Inthanon first. Along the way, the fog was very thick. The weather was cold, and the wind was very strong.

The arduous journey through the Bong Piang jungle has come to an end. It was a wild, hilarious, and soggy adventure, as expected for a trip during the rainy season. We were constantly soaked, with raincoats covering our riding gear and our shoes perpetually damp. However, the upside was the pleasant coolness and the lush greenery that greeted us along the way.
