Bougain Cafe & Crafts: A Hidden Gem in Bangkok

Bougain Cafe & Crafts, nestled in the quiet alley of Santi Kham 13 (Soi Baering 14), is a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. We first stumbled upon this charming cafe through a friend's social media post, captivated by the inviting ambiance captured in their photos. Intrigued by its proximity to our home, we decided to embark on a personal exploration of this hidden oasis.

Drive into Soi Bearing 14 and continue through to Soi Santikam 13. On the left-hand side, you will see a grey house, which is the restaurant. There is parking for three cars inside the restaurant, and additional parking is available on the street in front of the restaurant. Please note that the soi may be narrow.

The store is open daily from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM on weekdays (Monday-Friday) and from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM on weekends (Saturday-Sunday).

The entrance to the shop is through a wooden door, giving it a Japanese garden feel. The shop's stylish sign is at the front, but the entrance is on the side. At first, I couldn't find the entrance, but when I walked to the right of the lawn, I found it.

The outdoor seating offers a natural atmosphere in the mornings and evenings. However, during the day, the sun can be quite hot, making the indoor seating a more comfortable option.

I walked up to the bar counter to order food. There was a wide variety of pastries to choose from in the display case, all at reasonable prices. After ordering my food and drink, I found a table to sit at.

After soaking in the atmosphere for about 5 minutes, the mocha (less sweet) was the first to be served. The flavor was rich and the sweetness was just right.

After enjoying a mocha and reading for a while, the freshly baked croissant arrived as the next dish. It had been warmed up, and it was steaming hot when it was served. Eaten with fresh butter, the outside was crispy and the inside was soft. It was delicious, and I will definitely be back for more next time.

While browsing the bread selection at the counter, I noticed a blue cheese croissant. However, I opted for a plain croissant as I dislike the smell and taste of blue cheese.

After reading the book I brought with me for almost an hour, the sun began to shine through the window at around 4:30 pm, so we decided to go back. At first, I thought about moving tables to avoid the sun, but I was worried about the staff if I moved tables. They would have to clean the table again.

He walked out of the shop and let the ducks and chickens out to play on the lawn. I think they must have just been released because I didn't see them when I arrived.

In addition to the beverage menu, there are also snacks and breakfast menus. Before leaving, take a few more photos and then come out. If you are looking for a cafe to relax in the suburbs, Bougen is another shop that should not be missed.
