The Edo Japanese Restaurant is located on the lobby level of the Miracle Grand Convention Hotel. It is on the right-hand side as you enter through the main entrance.

The dining room is a long hall with ample space for comfortable service. It is divided into two sections.

The front area will be equipped with tables for service.

Flanked by tables on the left and right.

There are various seating options, ranging from individual corners to the central area.

The interior features a food line and live stations, with a variety of food stalls waiting to be explored.

Adorned with Japanese-style cherry blossom imagery

The name "Edo" signifies "gateway to the bay," the former name of Tokyo. The hotel aims to convey the scenic landscape of Edo, abundant with natural ingredients, to create exceptional cuisine. This reflects the meticulousness in the preparation methods derived from Japan's rich culinary culture.

The restaurant offers both A La Carte and Buffet Japanese cuisine for lunch and dinner.

Steamed Dumpling

This is a simple and accurate translation of the Thai phrase "ขนมจีบนึ๋ง".

Here are some additional details that could be included depending on the context:

  • Type of dumpling: If the specific type of dumpling is known, it could be included in the translation. For example, "Steamed Shrimp Dumpling" or "Steamed Pork and Chive Dumpling".
  • Description: A brief description of the dumpling could be added, such as "a small, savory dumpling filled with meat and vegetables".
  • Origin: If the origin of the dish is relevant, it could be mentioned. For example, "a popular Thai street food".

However, without further context, "Steamed Dumpling" is a concise and accurate translation that captures the essence of the original phrase.

There is another perspective.

Hot or Cold Green Tea. The green tea here is fragrant, unlike some places where it tastes like it has been mixed with too much water, resulting in a very weak or even absent tea flavor and aroma.

📊 My Score (In my opinion)

Suggestions and problems found for the restaurant. (This is not intended to discredit the restaurant in any way.)

Food: ⭐⭐⭐

The overall quality of the food was excellent. It was fresh, clean, and offered a wide variety of ingredients, similar to what I experienced at the Prempracha Restaurant for lunch (which would be even better for dinner). The live cooking stations were also impressive, and I particularly enjoyed the sukiyaki shabu, which allowed me to choose my own ingredients and cook them myself. It was a fun and delicious experience, although the taste ultimately depended on my own cooking skills. The soup was delicious, and the menu offered a good selection of dishes. The desserts, which were traditional Thai sweets, were also delicious. I highly recommend the hot red bean soup with mochi. I was initially concerned that it would be too sweet, but it was perfectly balanced.

Note:

1. For friends who are going to make sukiyaki shabu, please separate the pork and beef pots when boiling.

2. Green tea is typically served unsweetened, but syrup can be added for sweetness.

3. At the Teppanyaki station, due to the large number of guests on the day of our visit, the orders were overwhelming, resulting in some dishes being unevenly cooked. Additionally, some dishes that were not ordered were mixed in. It is recommended to be cautious in this regard.

The Atmospheres⭐⭐⭐⭐

The atmosphere was very relaxed and comfortable. Even though the restaurant was full when I visited, it didn't feel crowded. While getting food, there wasn't much of a sense of people rushing to grab things, although there were some moments like that. This might have been due to the timing. However, the food was constantly being replenished, so there was no feeling of scarcity. The timing was just right. The plates, bowls, chopsticks, and the size of the table were all appropriate for the number of people seated. The chairs were also very comfortable. The staff cleared the plates from the table regularly and were attentive in their service.

The Service⭐⭐⭐⭐

The staff did an excellent job, despite the full restaurant. They were efficient in managing the flow of customers, clearing plates promptly, refilling water quickly, and replenishing the buffet line at a reasonable pace. While food service was occasionally slow, the wait times were reasonable. The staff was friendly and welcoming, greeting guests with a smile and offering excellent service, information, and assistance.

Note:

1. Due to the high volume of guests, the teppanyaki section experienced some delays as there was only one chef. However, the service was still good and the wait was not excessive.

The Value⭐⭐⭐+

The lunch menu is a good value for money. Although there are not as many options as the dinner menu, you can still enjoy a variety of Japanese dishes in reasonable portions for a reasonable price. The lunch menu also includes green tea, which is a nice touch.
