Today, I'm taking a break from exploring the wilderness to bring you on a tour of the "Mahanakhon Skywalk" at King Power Mahanakhon, a new global tourism landmark in Thailand. This rooftop observation deck offers breathtaking 360-degree views of Bangkok from 314 meters above ground, making it the highest in the country.
Getting there is convenient. You can drive your own car and park in the provided parking lot, or take the BTS Skytrain and get off at Chong Nonsi Station, Exit 3. Then, follow the Skywalk that connects to the Mahanakhon Building.
Walk straight ahead and take the escalator down to find the building entrance.

The Journey Begins: A Multimedia Ascent
The staff then escorted us to the building's elevator. This was no ordinary elevator; it was the fastest multimedia elevator in Thailand, propelling us to the 74th floor in a mere 50 seconds. We hastily grabbed our cameras to capture the moment, but before we knew it, we had arrived. The ascent was remarkably swift and smooth.
Inside the elevator, a captivating multimedia display showcased the cityscape, creating the illusion of being in a glass elevator with panoramic views.
The elevator will take us to the 74th floor of the building, where the highlight is the indoor observation deck.
Immerse yourself in the captivating beauty of iconic Siamese landmarks through the magic of Augmented Reality (AR).
During the evening, the city's dazzling lights create a breathtaking spectacle.
For those who enjoy sending postcards, there is a service that provides postcards with stamps already attached, making it convenient to send messages to loved ones or friends. The postcards can be written and dropped into the tallest mailbox in Thailand, offering a unique and memorable experience.
While the view is beautiful, it's not the best. Since you're already here, why not pay a little extra to visit the 78th floor, the highlight of this landmark? Go go go!
Take the escalator from the 74th floor to the 75th floor to take the glass elevator to the 78th floor.
There are restrooms on the 75th floor. After taking care of your business, wait for the glass elevator.
The glass elevator will take you to the 78th floor. If you prefer to exercise, you can take the spiral staircase next to the glass elevator.
The 78th floor, or rooftop, offers stunning outdoor views and is a must-visit highlight.
- The **Glass Tray**, one of the world's largest skywalks, soars 310 meters above the ground. It's an exhilarating experience, especially for those with a fear of heights like me.
- **Rooftop observation deck** offering 360-degree views, the highest accessible point in Bangkok at 314 meters above ground level.
- Rooftop Bar is the highest bar in Thailand, offering a selection of drinks and specially crafted cocktails.
A young man from the countryside, visiting the capital for the first time, eagerly anticipated witnessing the city's breathtaking nighttime panorama from a high vantage point. He arrived at 3 p.m. and patiently waited until sunset, observing the influx of Thai and international tourists who had gathered to witness the celestial spectacle. While some engaged in thrilling photo shoots on the glass floor, the young man, unable to overcome his fear of heights, opted to capture the scene through the lenses of his fellow tourists.
As the sun sets below the horizon, the city lights illuminate the night sky, creating a breathtaking spectacle.
Don't forget to visit and take photos to show off the beauty of our Thailand.
