Mercure Pattaya Ocean Resort was just opened in November 2014 and it is located right next to Holiday Inn Pattaya. I would say Mercure Pattaya Ocean Resort offers exact same sea view as Holiday Inn Pattaya where we visited last year.

We have arrived to the resort in early afternoon on Saturday and found that there is a lot of people.

I guess the water park of the resort attracts them here especially the family with children.

Anyway, let's try their welcome drink to refreshing ourselves first!

Even though the room in this resort is pretty cheap, but I would say what we got like the room, the facilities, etc. are more than what we pay for which is amazing.

The lobby is quite spacious and well-designed. It is in bright color tone which give you the feeling of luxury.

This is what you will see when you enter into the resort.

The check-in counter.

The staff here are all friendly and helpful even they are very busy with too many guests.

There is a huge relaxing area in the lobby.

Complementary computer and internet are also available here at the lobby.

Look at how they have designed the lift hallway, very beautiful!

We stay in Deluxe Ocean View room on the 9th floor room number 902.

We have got a Pattaya bay view and swimming pool view of Holiday Inn, how great!

We have noticed that there are only room number 901, 902, and 903 that are facing to the sea view like this and I guess it will be even more beautiful on the higher floor.

The bed is made out of 2 twin beds that's why it is even bigger than the King size bed and this is perfect for us three.

The room is not that big but fully equipped with everything like sofa and working desk for instance.

The bed is huge with nice seating area on the balcony and the room is well-decorated. The resort definitely offers best value for the money.

The bathroom has no bathtub, there is only a shower room. And the bathroom is see-through, therefore; you can see the bedroom and even the sea view or you can close the curtain if you need some privacy.

VDO Dek: Jew introduce the room and in-room facilities.

We have settled well and now it is a good time to go to the water park, let's go!

There are 2 zones of the swimming pools.

The first one is the regular swimming pool for adult on the 5th floor.

The second one is a small water park for children on the ground floor.

Even if it is chilly today and the water is pretty cold, the children still have a good time in this little water park including Dek Jew.

The water park is perfect for children with water slides and many more and the water is not deep at all.

VDO: Dek Jew in the water park.

The pool is deeper in this area for cliff jumping and taller water slide.

This yellow water slide doesn't look tall but once you try, it is pretty speedy and this is popular among older children.

The water park from this angle shows the area within the white and orange color inflatable tube dedicating where older children can do cliff jumping.

There is also a life guard by the water park so parents can rely on children's safety.

VDO: The water park, adult main pool, and dinner

It is difficult to get Dek Jew out of the water park but Mom and Dad have done it by asking ask Dek Jew to go to the adult main pool together. Once we are there we have found out that the water is very cold so we decide not to stay long.

It is the end of the day and this is the stunning sun set view from our balcony.

The room at twilight.

We are going to have dinner at Molten restaurant, the one and only restaurant in the resort where breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served.

The restaurant is well-designed with nice color decoration.

The outdoor area by the pool.

We are having Salad, Pizza, and Fish & Chips for dinner.

I would say the food is average but they are all at reasonable price.

We take a walk around the resort after having dinner.

There is the M Lounge on the lobby floor where drinks and snacks can be ordered. And you can order them to be served by the pool during the day.

The quiet water park at night.

The new day has come and it is time for breakfast.

This is the breakfast buffet line at Molten restaurant. They have all basic breakfast stuff but not that variety.

You can refresh yourself by having breakfast outdoor by the pool too.

Dek Jew is very energetic to have breakfast in order to fill up the energy for the water park.

And the fun time begins again before checking out.

After checking out, we are going to have lunch at Preecha Seafood restaurant as Dad wanted.

This is our lunch.

Wow! The food is as good as last time, very delicious even we haven't been back to this restaurant for ages.

VDO: Preecha Seafood restaurant

I guess we have made a wrong decision to go all the way to Jomtien Beach for Preecha Seafood restaurant because Pattaya always has a massive traffic jam. We arrive Pipo Pony Club quite late around 05.00 PM which they close at 06.00 PM and we miss the last show at 04.30 PM too.

Ticket: Adult 100 THB Children 50 THB

My Little Pony at the entrance.

VDO: Dek Jew at Pipo Pony Club

They have only pony at Pipo Pony Club, they are all so cute.

Even we are pretty late but we still get a chance to feed pony, take photos, and do pony back riding.

Dek Jew is very happy and excited to get a chance to do pony back riding.

Ticket: 100 THB

You have to move your body up and down in order to move this pony kids' toys around, Dek Jew has so much fun.

Spring Horse.

The sun is saying goodbye now but Dek Jew still doesn't want to go back yet.

Smurf Kingdom.

We will come back here for sure because this time we have roughly only 1 hour here before they close, there is a lot more to do and see.

We end this trip here.

To sum up, Mercure Pattaya Ocean Resort is one of the best choices for family stay with the water park and nice guestrooms at reasonable price.

Good bye for now and I will see you again!
