Hello, dear members of the Kitchen.

This edition of Tamkarnwela will take you to taste fusion food, a fusion of Isan and French. Le Pla-Daak restaurant is a restaurant under the concept of the restaurant name, which takes the French word Le and adds it to the end of the word pla-daak in Isan. The decoration in the restaurant is retro style. The equipment used is antique, such as zinc plates and spoons, which may be the first to use this type of container.

Isan food is a dish that can be eaten frequently in daily life. It is a dish with a non-bland taste, so it is always one of the first dishes that come to mind.

This is not my first time at Le Pla Daak, but I remember that it has been a long time since I last visited. This time, I came here to learn about new food experiences.

Let's take a look at what we got to try.

Getting to Le Pla-Le Pla Daak is easy. Just follow the map below and you won't get lost.

This sign indicates that you have arrived.

Let's take a look at the atmosphere and interior design of the shop. Stepping inside feels like stepping back in time, bringing a sense of joy.

I've seen it all. Bailey also likes to drink... I know everyone's age.

Let's find a good place to sit.

Every corner has a different style.

I heard there will be live music on Friday and Saturday, but the songs played in the shop on the day I went were already very nice. I enjoyed listening to them the most.

Or if you want to sit and chill outside

This corner looks lively.

Please feel free to choose your seats.

Let's get ready to order food.

The food started to arrive one by one. The first dish was the golden papaya salad, which can be said to be the origin of the papaya salad trays in the market.

Every dish here will be meticulously lined with banana leaves, ensuring complete coverage and safety.

A semi-Thai papaya salad with pickled crab, sprinkled with roasted peanuts, served with a boiled egg and topped with edible gold leaf. It is accompanied by garlic bread.

This restaurant has a clear definition for those who want to order a papaya salad menu, order it to suit their taste. If you order "Som Tum", it means papaya salad without fish sauce.

Som Tam is a papaya salad with boiled fermented fish paste.

The spiciness level can be chosen from 5 levels.

- Baby (BABY) without chili

- Kindergarten Chili 1 piece

- Elementary school, 5 chili peppers

- High school, 10 chili peppers

-University Chili 1 bunch

-Dr. Spicy Hell

....We would like to adopt her.

This dish is "Moo Sa-on", which is lean pork marinated and grilled until cooked. It is served with dipping sauce, roasted rice, and french fries.

Unknowingly finished the whole plate, it was so delicious.

Spicy Shrimp Spaghetti uses rice noodles instead of spaghetti, stir-fried with butter and shallots. Season with light soy sauce, salt, and red wine. Add roasted dried chilies at the end.

For this dish, thin rice noodles are preferred as they are chewier and more delicious than thick noodles. When stir-frying, do not use a spatula to mix, as this will break the noodles. Instead, use the "toss and turn" method by shaking the pan.

People who love noodles will love this.

To soothe the throat with a slurp of curry, we settled on sweet vegetable curry with ant eggs. Similar to mushroom curry, it's not very spicy, with just a hint of saltiness.

This is the first time in my life that I have eaten sour and sweet red ant eggs.

These two dishes are the best, I love them so much. They remind me of the old days when vendors used to carry trays and sell them at train stations.

Unwrapping the banana leaf reveals a very appetizing sticky rice.

This sticky rice wrap doesn't use just one kind of sticky rice for steaming, but rather a mixture of several types of rice from different origins. No wonder it's so delicious.

The last savory dish that was delicious and the most impressive, Karen sea bass.

The sea bass is deep-fried until crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It is then tossed with a flavorful blend of spices and five different types of chili peppers, creating a harmonious and tantalizing taste.

The rice here isn't just any ordinary rice. The restaurant uses a blend of about 5 different types of rice to achieve this delicious flavor.

Today's dessert... I can't remember the exact name, but it's something about the Eiffel Tower. It's packed with ice, drizzled with red syrup, and comes with fresh fruits for dipping.

How to eat:

Le Pla Daak is a restaurant that serves a fusion of Isan and French cuisine. The flavors are intense, and some may find the prices to be on the high side. However, it's important to note that the restaurant is very meticulous in its selection of ingredients. For example, the rice is a blend of several different types of high-quality rice, not just any old rice. Each dish is carefully crafted, and the results are truly delicious.

Thank you Le Pla Daak for inviting me to enjoy delicious food.
