Over 2,040 kilometers ll Over a thousand curves ll 4 days 5 nights ll 2 people Let's get started

The reason I chose to go to Mae Hong Son was because I saw a picture pop up on Facebook of a Chinese-style house nestled amidst terraced tea plantations. This made me immediately decide to find out more and get there as soon as possible.

The location in the picture is Liwaen Rak Thai Resort, Mae Hong Son Province. We don't have much information about this province, so we searched for information on Pantip. This trip, we traveled with a plan, not a no-plan, not a slow life. We wanted to reach our destination in our own way.

Will planning before traveling be fun? As a salaryman, we don't have many long holidays. I want to make the most of my time, even if I plan it, I still miss it. I read a lot of reviews, I dare to say that almost a hundred reviews, I find information myself before I really don't understand, then I will ask, otherwise I don't know what to ask. The person who answers will not be able to answer correctly to our needs, right?

We found that Mae Hong Son has a lot of tourist attractions. What we did was write down the names of the places we wanted to visit in a notebook. We have a notebook for planning our trips (we're very serious about travel, haha). We write down all the details, and if we open this notebook, we're sure to go on a trip. ^^

The list of tourist attractions is as follows...

And where should we go first and last? Look at our travel patterns to see how we travel and what kind of transportation we use, based on this map.

Thank you to the owner of this map. ^^

Itinerary of our trip (based on the places we want to visit)

First night (travel to) >>> Take a bus to Chiang Mai Arcade

Day 2 (Pai) >>> Take a van to Pai, rent a motorbike, and explore Pai.

Day 3 (Sleep at Huai Nam Dang National Park) >>> Baan Jabo, Pai, Huai Nam Dang National Park

Day 4 (Sleeping at Pang Ung) >>> Return the motorbike in Pai, take a car to Mae Hong Son, rent a motorbike to ride to Pang Ung

Day 5 (Return trip) >>> Ban Rak Thai, eat Yunnan pork leg, return the motorcycle, take the bus at Mae Hong Son Bus Terminal

Day six >>> Arrived home

It might seem like a back-and-forth journey, but we wanted to see the sea of mist in the morning at Ban Ja Bo, and we wanted to see the sunrise and sunset at Huai Nam Dang National Park. Plus, with the number of days we had available, we thought it was the best fit for our trip.

Tour bus

We used the service of Sombut Tour, boarding at Vibhavadi Center. You can check the bus schedule and other details here: http://www.sombattour.com We chose the 9pm to 10pm bus to Chiang Mai because we wanted to arrive in Chiang Mai no later than 6:30am. The cheapest option was the only one available, as all other options were VIP.

I called the Call Center because I didn't have time to go and book the tickets myself, but no one answered the phone. So I had to wait until the weekend to go and book them myself. In the end, the only tickets left were VIP tickets. I asked the staff and they said that the Call Center was closed for renovations. They said that they will have more lines in the future to provide better service to customers. The VIP tickets cost 778 baht per person.

Minivan Chiang Mai-Pai

For the van from Chiang Mai to Pai, we used the services of Prem Pracha. You can find more details and book tickets at http://premprachatransports.com/routes-th. The bus arrived at Chiang Mai Arcade at 6:30 AM, so we booked the van to Pai at 8:30 AM to allow some time for breakfast. The van ride to Pai takes about 3 hours. According to the van website, there are 2 vans per hour (but on the day we went, we saw vans 1-4. If it's a festival, it's better to book in advance, but make sure you're sure about the time). The price you book will include insurance, which you can pay at 7-11. There is an additional fee of 380 baht for two people. I'm not sure if you have to pay extra insurance if you buy at the point of sale, but I wanted to be sure and didn't want to sit in the back. If you have a lot of luggage, don't worry, the driver will put it on the roof of the car. Just keep your valuables with you.

Pack your bags

We used the same bag because our main mode of transportation was a motorcycle. We had a large bag for clothes for two people, a small bag for valuables and frequently used items, a tent, and a tripod. The clothes we brought were two sweaters each, two pairs of pants each. My boyfriend mainly wore jeans, but I chose skinny jeans and thick pants for sleeping. The clothes we wore during the day were all long-sleeved but thin, because it was already hot after nine in the morning. If it wasn't cold at noon, we could wear sunscreen. We used the method of rolling it up and tying it with a rubber band. Sandals, a small bag for toiletries, a little makeup like cream and lip balm to prevent dry face and lips. This trip, there was no time to dress up at all. It was so cold that I was too lazy. 555

Camping essentials include kitchen equipment. We only use a stove, a set of field pots, a knife, a cutting board, paper cups and glasses, wet wipes, garbage bags, small condiments, and most importantly, a lantern. Put them in a large bag. As for bedding, we rented it in advance. It's a bit heavy, so backpackers need to be strong!!!

Start your journey

From Rangsit, we took a taxi to Somphot Tour (Vibhavadi). If you have time, you can take bus number 29. Somphot Tour will arrive before the Ministry of Energy. Then take the ticket to check in with the beautiful staff who announce the passengers. He called it Information, huh? He will tell you where the car we have to take is parked and what number it is. The staff on the bus are very good. There are blankets, pillows, PTV is a touch screen, headphones, water and 2 boxes of snacks. The first box has 2 pieces of snacks, which are bread with shredded pork filling and brownie, with fruit juice.

Upon reaching Kamphaeng Phet, the bus will stop for a VIP buffet meal. The buffet will include rice porridge, steamed rice, stir-fried rice, noodles with gravy, rice noodles, and fried snacks. We tried the rice noodles, noodles with gravy, and stir-fried rice, and they were all delicious. The staff will tear off the bottom part of your ticket. You will have 20 minutes to eat and take care of personal business. Oh, and don't forget to remember the bus number and license plate, as the rest stops all look the same.

The train also served hot tea after the meal. And before reaching the destination, the beautiful staff handed out another box of snacks, consisting of Euro, VitaMilk, and a cold towel.

The bus stop is at the new arcade. The vans to Pai are at the old arcade. Just walk across the street to the old arcade. Show the driver the receipt you paid for, and they will tell you which van to board. The Chiang Mai-Mae Hong Son route is currently under construction, so please drive carefully if you are driving your own car.

If you're not in a hurry, there's also a fan bus. ^^

When you reach the minivan parking lot in Pai, walk out and turn left. There will be a motorbike rental shop called Aya.

We chose this one for 200 baht per day, but we also got insurance for falls and theft, which cost 40 baht per day each. This is our first time here and we don't know the way, so we want to be safe. That means if the bike falls or gets stolen, we don't have to pay anything. In total, the rental price for 2 days is 560 baht. We had to leave a 2,000 baht deposit and show our ID card. Read the rental agreement carefully and make sure the deposit amount and rental fee match what you paid. Keep the rental agreement safe, you'll need it again when you return the bike. The shop has maps available, so feel free to ask for one. Oh, and they also provide helmets. They might be a bit smelly, but you have to wear them for safety (which is why I have to wash my hair every day).

This sentence translates to: "Choose this one, so you can corner smoothly."

For those who are not confident in riding a motorcycle but still want to go on a trip, you can join a one-day tour. Here is an example of a tour that we picked up a flyer for. There are many programs to choose from.

***Trip 1: Around Pai - Wat Phra That Mae Yen, Treehouse, Elephant Camp, Hot Spring, Historical Bridge, Kong Lan, Strawberry Garden, Coffee in Love, Flower Garden, Wat Nam Hoo, Chinese Yunnan Village and Waterfall. The price is 500 baht per person.

***Trip 2 Pang Ung (04.00 - 18.00) - Pang Ung, Baan Rak Thai, Phra Tamnak Pang Tong, Pha Suea Waterfall, Phu Khlon, Sutong Pae Bridge, Long Neck Karen Village, Doi Kong Mu Pagoda, Fish Cave, Doi Kiew Lom (including entrance fees and park fees) Price 700 baht per person

***Trip 3 Huai Nam Dang (05.00 am) - Watch the mist at Huai Nam Dang 400 baht per person

***Trip 4 Tham Lod, including raft and lamp 700 baht per person

One-day trips can be found at the Pai Walking Street. There are many tours available. ^^

After getting the motorbike, we looked for a place to stay. We had a place in mind, Golden Hut. We wanted a place with a hut-like atmosphere, by the Pai River, and at an affordable price. This place has rooms at various prices, from 500 to 300 baht. The houses for 500 and 400 baht have private bathrooms, the difference being the view in front of the room. Rooms below 400 baht have shared bathrooms. We chose the most expensive room, which was by the river. It had a private bathroom, a hot water heater, tissue, drinking water, towels, a fan (we didn't need to turn it on, it was very cold!), a triple socket, wifi, and a balcony in front of the room. We could walk to the walking street.

Looking from the outside

From the balcony in front of the room, you can see the Pai River.

Inside the room Here are many types of rooms. You can ask to see the room.

It was a very easy process to book a room. We walked up, asked to see the room, agreed to stay, and paid for it right there in front of the room. No need to fill out any forms, which saved us a lot of time. The bathroom was also very spacious, but there were a few insects. However, the room did have mosquito nets.

The atmosphere at night is very peaceful.

The accommodation contact point has a seating area with free tea, cocoa and coffee for guests. For more information, please call 053699949.

Map from the motorbike rental shop to Golden Hut

We used Google Maps to navigate our way around Pai. It was our first time here, and the map was a bit confusing. We rode around randomly and came across a sign for our first destination, "Phra That Mae Yen." We decided to go there to pray for a smooth and safe journey. On the way, we found a restaurant called "Krua Phod Jai" and decided to stop for some food. We ordered the special with an extra fried egg and got two large plates of rice for 120 baht.

Visiting during the green rice season, this shop must have a beautiful view ^^

The signpost to Phra That Mae Yen is very small. If you don't pay close attention, you'll miss it like we did.

At Wat Phra That Mae Yen, you'll need to put in some effort to climb up, but the reward is a stunning view of Pai from above. It's also a great spot to watch the sunset. ^^

After that, we continued to the Tha Pai Historical Bridge. At first, we used Google Maps to navigate, but we used the search name "Pai Bridge". It actually took us to the Pai Bridge, but it was a concrete bridge over the river. TT You should use the search name "Tha Pai Historical Bridge" instead. ^^

The period when we came to the Tung Bua Tong field, the flowers had already withered. However, we could still see Bua Tong flowers scattered all over the place. It can be said that they are distributed throughout Mae Hong Son.

Sunflower under the historical bridge

After visiting the bridge, we headed back to Pai town. On the way, we came across another tourist attraction called "Kong Lan" or Pai Canyon. We decided to stop by and see what it was all about.

Up the hill again -_-'

It's a narrow dirt path, like a ridge, with deep ravines on both sides. It's just wide enough to walk on, giving you a thrilling sense of height.

***Please be careful when walking. Don't get so caught up in taking pictures that you forget about your safety.

We didn't stop by the strawberry farm because we were headed to Coffee in Love. When we were on the van to Pai, we passed by this place and it was packed with people. By the time we arrived, it was probably already late afternoon so there weren't many people around. This made the cafe less chaotic. The menu item that we fell in love with was the coconut cheesecake. Each slice of cake here costs 80 baht. Together with the iced tea that we ordered, the total came to 130 baht. Aside from the delicious coffee and pastries, there's also a garden where you can take photos. It's a shame that we arrived too late and the lighting wasn't good...

Beautiful view...

It's only a 5-minute walk from the accommodation to the walking street. Today, there aren't many tourists, so it's very easy to walk around.

There's so much delicious food! The two of us are having a blast eating. Can we turn this walking street into an eating street instead? ^^

Starting light with sai oua and spring rolls (the same as cellophane spring rolls).

The forest egg followed closely. The taste is similar to steamed egg, but the best part is that the vendor picked it up from the stove for us to hold it warm in our hands. It also smells of pandan leaves. ^^

Based on the reviews, the "black sesame sticky rice" is a must-try. I ordered a large piece, which was grilled hot. If you like sweet things, this is the way to go.

We've had enough snacks, let's have some real food. "Khao soi nua" with a spicy taste. There are vegetables to add as you like, but just enough for yourself to eat. If you don't want to eat khao soi, there is also a la carte food available.

The vermicelli wasn't finished yet, and I came across "vermicelli salad". Out of curiosity, I ordered it. Hehe, the taste is a bit spicy, a bit sour, and a bit fragrant with fried garlic. ^^

To top it off with another dessert, the "Roti Ali Pai" shop's egg and cheese roti. The roti is overflowing with both cheese and milk. I don't know why it's so overflowing, but it's delicious beyond words. ><

We walked and ate until the shops started to close, then we walked back to our accommodation with snacks. The stars, the cold weather, and the special person, it was perfect...

Noodle View at Ban Ja Bo - Huai Nam Dang

Set the alarm clock at 5:15 AM to wake up and pack my bags to go eat noodles.

May I borrow a picture to describe the incident from the "Brave Housekeeper" page?

The bed was like a soul-sucking vortex, and the air was freezing. Taking a shower was out of the question; it was just too cold. We grabbed our valuables and stuffed them into a small bag (it felt a bit like we were stealing something). We left the rest of our belongings in the room and put on two layers of jackets each. Our destination: "Ban Ja Bo." We rode our motorbikes through the darkness and the cold, 16 degrees Celsius, for almost sixty kilometers. Round trip, it was a little over a hundred kilometers, all for a bowl of noodles. If my mom found out, I'd definitely get a scolding. There were no streetlights, just mountains and curves. Our first stop was "Kiew Lom-Pang Ma Pha" to take pictures of the sunrise and warm up. Even my supposedly windproof Uniqlo gloves had to be warmed up by the motorbike's exhaust pipe. Hahahaha! We crossed to the other side, and wow! It was pure white! A sea of fog! Today, luck was on our side. Let's go find that sea of fog!

Sea of fog along the way...

We stopped by the morning market in Pang Ma Pha, which is called Sop Pong, right? Because my eyes caught sight of yellow fried food, it was fried soybeans that should not be missed. It's like french fries but juicier and oilier. I almost finished eating it before I realized that there was dipping sauce included. -_-''

It won't take long to reach our destination. You can use Google Maps to get there without getting lost. Search for "Baan Jabo" on the 1095 road and turn right at Ban Mae Lana onto the 1226 road.

Finally, it's here! The fog is spectacular, the noodles are hot, the sea of fog is beautiful, and the friendliness of the vendors makes this noodle meal one that we will remember forever.

Aaaahhhh!! Just saw that the lens is full of dust. What happens when you ride and shoot at the same time? TT

There are also seats with dangling legs.

There are dolls for writing messages and hanging them at the shop. We asked the shopkeeper how much each one was. The shopkeeper said, "Today I'm in a good mood, so I'm selling them for 100 baht. If I'm not in a good mood, I'll sell them for 20 baht." She was joking with us. The shopkeeper was in a good mood and very friendly. Today, we each had 2 bowls of noodles. We rode our bikes a long way, so it wouldn't have been worth it to only have one bowl. 555 The taste was delicious too. One bowl of crispy wontons, 2 bottles of water, and 1 doll cost 200 baht today. ^^

After checking out, we loaded our backpacks onto the bus and continued our journey. We still had enough time to explore Pai, so we decided to visit Santichon Village and Mor Pang Waterfall.

Santichon Village is a Yunnan Chinese village where you can find snow lotus for sale. At first glance, I thought it was a taro root, but you can try it. There are restaurants and horses to ride around the village. If you want to wear a Chinese dress for photos, there is a service for 100 baht per set. At the bridge, there is a delicious grass jelly shop with chewy texture. I don't remember how much a glass costs because my boyfriend bought it. If you come here, try it. It's really delicious ^^

We were planning to have lunch at Mor Paeng Waterfall, but when we got there, there was nothing to eat and the water level was very low.

Back in town for another round of national food, "Som Tum Na Amphoe". Everything was delicious. The Tom Saeb was fragrant with basil. My favorite was the sticky rice, so fragrant and soft that I had to order more. To finish it off, I had some crispy rice pancakes sold in front of the Som Tum shop. They were bite-sized and topped with coconut milk. A set costs 20 baht, and the taste is way beyond the price. There was also grilled chicken available.

Then we'll stock up on supplies for the night. We'll go camping and cook at Huai Nam Dang National Park, about 30.5 kilometers from Pai.

On the way to Doi Inthanon National Park, we passed a section of road that was under construction. There was a lot of dust, which is why I bought a cute face mask last night.

Although there is an entrance fee to the park, there is a 50% discount on weekdays until the end of 2015. The entrance fee for 2 people and a motorcycle is 70 baht. From the entrance fee collection point, ride another 6 kilometers to reach the camping area. You must pay the camping fee at the tourist service center first. If you want to rent bedding equipment, you can also contact here. The rental rates for various equipment are as follows:

Camping fee is 30 baht per person.

20 baht stove

Charcoal bag 30 baht

The mat costs 30 baht each.

20 baht per colander

3-person tent, 225 baht per tent

Blanket (duvet type) 50 baht each

Sleeping bag 30 baht each

Sleeping mat 20 baht

Pillow 10 baht each (very thin)

If you don't think it's too expensive, rent a sleeping pad. It will help reduce the coldness from the ground that will come into contact with your body. There was once a person who went to sleep at the campsite at the foot of Doi Mokkoju. He didn't have a sleeping pad, only a sleeping bag, and he couldn't sleep. He had to keep turning over because the ground was so cold. If you use a sleeping bag and think it's not warm enough, stuff any clothes you have into the sleeping bag and sleep with it. It will help reduce the coldness a little bit. (*** But the clothes you put in the sleeping bag must be dry.)

We then set up our tent. We chose site D, which is a popular camping site (according to the staff). The view from this campsite offers a view of the peak of Doi Luang Chiang Dao. There weren't many people, just enough to make it lively.

The park's shops and restaurants close at 8pm. If you want anything, buy it in advance in case you get hungry later.

Shop at the D tent site

The bathroom is very comfortable. We didn't walk to see the other tent sites, but from what we saw, the bathroom at the park's restaurant is in very good condition. But believe me, with the temperature at 16-17 degrees, no one will be fighting you for a shower. The sun hasn't even set yet and the air is already starting to cool down.

The sunset side of the mountain turned golden, while Doi Luang Chiang Dao turned pink.

Nature is beautiful and never the same, not even for a second. ^^

Our simple dinner focuses on adding fat to warm the body. We used smoked bacon so we didn't have to worry about buying ice to keep it cold. We also had Kurobuta pork, so we went all out! As for the dipping sauce, we bought a bottle of jaew sauce, which was delicious. We chose bacon because we didn't want to carry a bottle of vegetable oil around, as it was very risky to spill it in our bag. It would have been a big problem. But if we use bacon, we don't need oil because the bacon itself has oil in it. And it's so delicious (please forget about calories). When we put the bacon in the pan, it sizzled, "Chaaaaaaaaaa!!!" It went on for three or four tents. I was really embarrassed, hehe. We boiled some instant noodles to sip on the hot water, and that was it. We were in heaven.

A large bag of bacon, two people can't finish it all, so find a tightly sealed box to store it for the next meal.

We love this place because one side offers a view of the sunset, and tomorrow morning, if you turn to the other side, you will see the sunrise, along with the peak of Doi Luang Chiang Dao. As for the night, it goes without saying, the world of stars is clear.

Today's expenses

Fried soybeans 20 baht

Noodles @ Baan Ja Bo 200 baht

Hot cocoa @Kiew Lom Pai - Pang Ma Pha 2 cups 70 baht

Som Tum in front of the district office 210 baht

Rice crackers 20 baht

Filled with 90 baht of fuel.

Mama + Jaew dipping sauce 46 baht

Kurobuta pork + smoked bacon I don't remember the price but it's not more than 250 baht

LED lamp + battery 152 baht

Entrance fee to Huai Nam Dang National Park is 70 baht.

Tent rental and bedding 220 baht

Pork sausage 20 baht

Plain water 40 baht

Total 1,408 Baht

Huai Nam Dang - Pang Ung

We woke up early in the morning. Our tent was very warm. How could it not be warm with two blankets and a sweater? But outside it was very, very cold. The stars had not yet disappeared, and the light of the sun was just beginning to appear. We love this time of day. It's even more beautiful than sunrise because the horizon is a golden line.

This corner is perfect for taking photos in front of the tent.

As the light increased, I began to see the little fog...

Changing the angle a bit... past the tourist service center there is a viewpoint. From here, you can see the sea of fog more clearly than at platform D. A man was taking pictures and turned to tell us that today the sea of fog is not very thick. If it were thicker, you wouldn't be able to see the mountains below. For us, it was beautiful enough today ^^ As for the Kiw Lom, we didn't go there.

After being satisfied with the beauty, it was time for breakfast... This time we ate at the park's restaurant. In the morning, there was only rice porridge (or congee, I can't remember, haha). It came with an egg for 50 baht per cup. While waiting for the tent to dry, we cleaned up the leftovers from the night before. Before reaching the bathroom, there was a place to wash dishes and collect garbage around the tent. When packing, why didn't my things fit like they did when I came? TT

After that, we rode back to Pai to return the car and have lunch (eating again!). It's a good idea to eat a lot because we'll be on the bus for at least 3 hours. Our next destination is Mae Hong Son. There is only one van from Pai to Mae Hong Son at 8:30 AM, which we missed (if you think you'll make it, you should book it as soon as you arrive, otherwise it will be full). Another option is the fan bus, which leaves at 11:00 AM. You can't book it in advance, you have to buy the ticket when you get on. It costs 80 baht per person to get off at Mae Hong Son Bus Terminal.

The car arrived almost an hour late. The foreigners couldn't sit upright because the seats were narrow. They had to sit sideways. The car was already full with just people. Don't even mention the luggage, it was all over the aisle! The air was good, so we sat and relaxed, enjoying the cool weather. During the uphill climb, the car reversed frequently. It seemed like it wouldn't make it, and we were worried the whole way. But it was a different kind of atmosphere. This trip was all about slow life, haha. The car will stop at Sop Pong for about 10 minutes so we can go to the bathroom.

Along the way, you will also see beautiful scenery.

We arrived at Mae Hong Son Bus Terminal at almost 5 pm. It was a very quiet bus terminal. We had booked a bus back to Bangkok withสมบัติทัวร์ in advance, as there were only 2 departures per day: 3 pm and 4 pm (the 4 pm bus was a VIP bus). We called a motorbike taxi driver in front of the bus terminal to take us to a motorbike rental shop for 40 baht each. The driver took us to a shop near the Jong Kham Public Park called PA.

There were two motorcycles left that were about to be rented, so the motorcycle taxi driver took me to another shop, which was also sold out. When I returned to the PA shop again, my plan to go to Pang Ung was about to fall apart when someone returned an old Honda Dream.

The owner of the shop said that this one can go up to Pang Oung (Have you seen my bag yet? TT) It's okay, it's okay, we have to go at that moment!!! There is a deposit of 1000 baht. The owner of the shop has a map for us. Along with explaining the route and various attractions We don't understand much. Because our hearts are already in Pang Oung. Open Google Map as usual. The road is very steep. I feel sorry for the motorcycle. Two people weigh almost two hundred, plus the bag.

***But if you can't ride a motorcycle, there are yellow songthaews that go to Pang Ung. They look like this:

The car will be parked at Talad Sai Yut. There are 2 rounds of cars.

From Talad Saiyud to Pang Ung 09.00 and 15.30

From Pang Oung 05.30 and 11.00

To be sure, please inquire first at 0812880841, 0871767892, 0823819206

Before reaching Phra Tamnak Pang Tong, we didn't stop because we didn't have enough time. If anyone comes to visit, please let me know ^^

Pang Ung, officially known as the "Royal Project Pang Tong 2 (Pang Ung)," is a beautiful destination that requires arriving after sunset, necessitating the use of lanterns to set up tents. Upon arrival, visitors will encounter the Rumai Thai village, which offers a variety of homestays, restaurants, and shops. The guesthouse closest to the reservoir is the "Rumai Thai Guesthouse," which can be booked by calling 053611244 (reservations are highly recommended). The guesthouse offers various room options and a camping area. For those who prefer camping, the Forestry Department's campsite offers a more scenic experience.

However, if you want to camp by the river, you have to go further into the area managed by the Forestry Department. You don't need to make a reservation by phone. We tried to find a contact number for the Forestry Department here to inquire for more information, but we were unable to reach them. Please pay the entrance and camping fees first. If you want to rent a tent and bedding, please contact the tourist service point inside, which is next to the shop on the way down to the bathroom and parking lot.

There were more people than I expected, but I was able to find an empty spot to set up my mat by the water, right next to the swan feeding area. ^^

Map of Pang Ung...Thank you to the owner of the picture.

The path to the bathroom and parking lot will have shops. If you want to eat grilled pork, you can order it and eat it in front of the tent. If you want to add anything, you can order it. We bought a bag of needles for 20 baht and put it in instant noodles. The shops here close at 8:30 PM. If you want to charge your phone, it's 20 baht per phone and 40 baht per power bank. They will attach a number to our device and give us a card. When you come to pick it up, bring the card with you.

We rode a motorbike to the Baan Rom Thai village to buy more drinking water and food. The fried soybeans were so good, I could forget about french fries. The fried mantou dipped in condensed milk was also delicious.

Back home, it's time for dinner. I have fried pork and sticky rice that I bought from the market near the motorbike rental shop. I also have some leftover bacon from yesterday, so I'm going to use that up. Mama, please let me have some. Sipping Mama noodles when it's cold is so good (I forgot to put golden needle mushrooms in the Mama noodles TT)

Tonight, it feels colder than at Huai Nam Dang. When I went to take a shower, it was 16 degrees. Let me brag a little!! I take a shower before bed every day!! The cold weather is not as scary as the water from the shower head flowing almost against the wall. Can you imagine? Taking a shower in the cold weather, you have to be quick. Like scooping water with a dipper and splashing it all over. Drying yourself and putting on clothes quickly. It's so torturous to finish taking a shower.

A total of 2,899 baht. Set the alarm clock as usual. Woke up at around 5:30 am and sat watching the stars in front of the tent by the river. There were so many stars. I wanted to take a picture to share, but my skills are not good enough. I only have a 16-50 lens.

At this moment, Pang Ung feels like there's no one around. It's like it's just us and the many tigers roaring in their tents. They communicate in tiger language, and when one tent falls silent, another roars back. They're really going at it, neither one willing to give in. They'll probably be sore throats in the morning, haha! The black swan came early in the morning, and I secretly took some photos in the dark. No matter what kind of animal, they don't like flash photography, right?

In the morning, there were a lot of people. The front of the tent was a bit chaotic because there were van tours coming down here and at this time everyone was waking up to see the beauty. The most beautiful time of Pang Oung is in the morning when the fog floats above the water surface.

The white swan, as if knowing the show's cue, spread its wings gracefully. There are two pairs of swans, a white swan and a black swan, which are royal swans. They are not afraid of people and even threaten them.

There are boats and rafts available for rent to enjoy the surrounding atmosphere.

In the late morning, the crowd at Pang Ung thinned out and the place became peaceful again. The golden needle mushrooms and bacon were still there, so I made two packs of instant noodles to fill my stomach before packing up. I tried riding my motorbike to the bridge. This was the angle I was looking for. It's a pity I found it too late.

There are also nature trails nearby.

Riding a motorbike into the village, I stopped by Uncle Pala's coffee shop. Besides being a restaurant and cafe, it also offers homestays. Flowers add a touch of vibrancy and freshness to the entire place.

The coffee is really fresh, the coffee trees are growing right next to the table ^^

Our next destination is the reason we came to Mae Hong Son, which is "Rak Thai Village".

Upon arrival, we rode our motorbikes around the village. There were many souvenir shops, and the almonds were delicious. However, we could only buy a few bags because we didn't withdraw enough cash. Big mistake! There are no ATMs here, so make sure you bring enough money.

I read a review that said you must try the Yunnan Chinese food at Liwan Rak Thai. If you don't want a heavy meal, there is also a coffee shop with a great view...

I ordered two dishes for this meal: pork leg with steamed buns and Emperor's soup (egg soup). It came in a very grand presentation, I didn't expect it to be this much so I also ordered rice. The taste was a bit bland for me, I couldn't finish anything.

To end the meal, the restaurant offered us complimentary tea. There were two types of tea: "Morning Dew Tea" and another one whose name I can't recall, but it smelled like perfume. To drink the tea, you can either lift the cup to your nose to smell it or hold it up to your eyes. It was very relaxing. The total cost of the meal was 510 baht.

Before heading back, we stopped by Li-Wine Rak Thai Resort for a photo op. This was the most important destination of the trip. I can't believe we came this far because of a picture that popped up on my newsfeed. It would have been better if we came earlier in the morning. The sun was scorching hot at noon.

Pretending to pick tea...

Time is running out... Before returning the car, we stopped at the last place for about 45 minutes, which is a coffee shop before the sunset over the cliffs (Before sunset Cafe). It is located at the parking lot on the top of Doi Kong Mu. The coffee is ten baht, the view is a million baht.

With very little time, we didn't even stop to pay respects at Doi Kong Mu Temple. We filled up the car with gas before returning it, and called a motorbike taxi driver at the front of the transport company to pick us up at the front of the PA shop. We still had time to buy some snacks for dinner and use the restroom. We left Mae Hong Son at three in the afternoon and arrived in Bangkok no later than seven o'clock. We really used every last second in Mae Hong Son.

The journey back was as winding as ever, with the added bonus of the pork leg we ate threatening to come back up. My partner was also suffering from a stomachache and a fever. At almost six o'clock, the tour bus arrived at the Mae Sariang stop and was scheduled to depart again at seven o'clock sharp. We had to find dinner ourselves, but neither of us could stomach anything except motion sickness medication. We also prepared a bag in case we threw up. When we reached the Kamphaeng Phet stop, we stopped for a late-night meal as usual, but this time it wasn't a buffet. One ticket could be exchanged for one plate of food. If you didn't want to eat, you could exchange it for a drink. We arrived at Future Park Rangsit around five o'clock in the morning. (Tell the staff where you want to get off when you put your bags under the bus.)

The trip may not have gone according to plan, and there were still many places that were missed, but it was good because it made us want to come back here again. Thank you to everyone who has read this far, and I hope our review will be helpful to those who are looking for a place to visit to welcome the cold weather.

*Go to visit Pang Oung - Rak Thai Village, press the money to be ready. We missed it because there are a lot of souvenirs. Almonds are very delicious.

*Keep your camera safe, close the lens cap. If the camera gets foggy, you won't be able to take beautiful pictures in the morning.

*When traveling, don't forget to respect the rules and regulations of the place. Be open to new experiences and learn about the local culture. You'll get more than just beautiful photos for Instagram and Facebook.

*** If you want to see beautiful nature, you must learn to live with nature as well. ***
