For working humans like us, it is very difficult to go on a trip with everyone in the family.

But thanks to the long New Year's holiday and the great promotion tickets that came out, we were able to grit our teeth and buy for everyone in the family successfully.

When everyone in the house says yes!

And my mom, who rarely agrees to travel abroad with us, also said yes.

An ordinary trip filled with the laughter of family and the smile of my mother, in the chilly air of Japan, thus unfolded...

Smile 1
Nagoya

We departed from Suvarnabhumi Airport on Vietnam Airlines, which has been offering frequent and attractive promotions lately.
Although we had to transfer in Vietnam, it was still worth it because we arrived in Nagoya at 7 am, which is a very good time.

Nagoya is the third largest city in Japan.
What we are familiar with is probably the tall buildings that are as tall as any other city. But in this bustling city, there are actually quiet streets hidden away, allowing us to walk through and see the way of life of the local people. The souvenir shop where the owner still uses an abacus to calculate the price for us. The atmosphere of the old houses that are still preserved for future generations to admire.

After strolling around the city for a while, it was time for us to board the Shinkansen bullet train to Osaka, where we would be staying for the first half of our trip.

Farewell, Nagoya...

Smile 2
Osaka

By the time we arrived in Osaka, it was already getting dark. We checked into our accommodation, dropped off our bags, and rested for a bit before starting our evening exploration of Osaka's bright lights. Our first stop, inevitably, was Dotonbori, one of the most vibrant areas in Osaka.

Pablo's cheesecake is a shop that we are willing to queue for a long time, just to taste the best seller, the soft cheesecake and the crispy tart dough.

After queuing for almost 20 minutes, we finally got the cheesecake in our hands. We opened the box and ate it right there by the river.
Actually, the deliciousness might be in the competition to eat it, who knows?

After filling our stomachs in the Dotonbori district, we moved on to Namba Park.
During our visit, the top of the Namba Park building was hosting a large light show, which the Japanese call Illumination.
This type of light show is very popular among the Japanese. Even for us, who are not particularly excited about this type of event, we couldn't help but be amazed. The show wasn't just a simple light show; it was a combination of light, color, sound, and animation created by these small light bulbs. It left us speechless for quite some time.

After being sufficiently saturated with the city lights, it's time for us to rest and recharge for the next day.
The next morning, we started our day at Umeda, a shopping district that needs no introduction.
Everyone knows this area well.
Because Umeda is a major shopping district where people of all ages and genders can spend the whole day strolling around.

With our wallets feeling a little lighter, it was time to say goodbye to Umeda and find something to fill our stomachs.
We moved to a large fresh market located in the Namba area. This market has everything from ready-to-eat food, fresh produce, snacks, fruits, and even grocery stores. Most importantly, the market here is clean and doesn't smell bad, so you can enjoy a leisurely stroll.

Ending the day with a visit to the egg vending machine, where everyone can't help but grab a couple of eggs... even mom.
