For us working humans, it is very difficult to go on a trip with everyone in the family.

Thanks to the long New Year's holiday and the great promotion tickets that came out, we were able to grit our teeth and buy them for the whole family.

When everyone in the house says yes!

And my mom, who rarely agrees to travel abroad with us, also said yes.

An ordinary trip filled with the laughter of family and the smile of my mother in the cold air of Japan, thus came to be...

Kyoto

Kyoto, the ancient capital of Japan, is home to numerous stunning temples and shrines. Visitors to Kyoto are sure to be captivated by the city's rich cultural heritage.

During our recent trip to Kyoto, we opted to explore the city's natural beauty and historical charm. We were eager to immerse ourselves in the tranquility of nature and embrace the crisp winter air.

From Osaka, we boarded the Shinkansen bullet train, which whisked us to our destination: Kyoto Station.

Kyoto Station is a magnificent structure with striking architectural features. The intricate steelwork adorning the interior is a sight to behold, drawing our gaze upwards. In the distance, we could glimpse the iconic Kyoto Tower.

The Sagano Scenic Railway is a short railway line with a vintage train that offers a scenic ride through the nature of Kyoto. The beauty of the scenery changes with the seasons.

We departed from Saga Torokko Station and headed to Kameoka Torokko Station. We visited during the winter season, so the surrounding atmosphere was not very bright. However, for us, riding an outdoor train, enjoying the fresh air and the view with our family was truly a happy experience.

It took about 25 minutes to reach the final station.
From Kameoka Torokko Station, we can walk to the JR train to return to the city. Not far away, there is beautiful nature to enjoy all the way. It feels like being in the countryside.

From JR Umahori station, we chose to get off at Arashiyama station to spend the rest of the day here.

Around Arashiyama, there are both ancient houses that have been converted into shops, the famous bamboo forest, and the Oi River, which is very long, running parallel to the mountains. Whether you come with your lover, friends or family, the feeling of contentment with the surrounding atmosphere is probably the same.

The sky at dusk today is a beautiful blend of pink and blue.

After a long walk around the area, it was time to say goodbye to Kyoto.

We ended the day with the stunning beauty of Arashiyama Station, which was just as beautiful as the scenery outside.
