Where should we go this holiday? So we decided to go cycling at Bang Nam Phueng Market. We can exercise and walk around. Let's go!
Let's take bus number 23 from the starting point at Thewes. Choose a bus that goes on the expressway and you'll be there in no time.
Get off at Bang Na intersection and take a motorbike taxi for 20 baht to the pier. The boat fare is only 4 baht per person.
Rent a bike from Uncle Juab's shop. The whole day rental price is 50 baht, and you will also get a free bottle of water.
We started by paying respects at Wat Bang Nam Phueng Nok. It was the first time I had seen sala flowers, which are large and very fragrant.
I met the monk who told me the long history of the old church. I was very impressed.
Next, stop by the Incense and Herbal House, where you can learn how to make incense and tie-dye fabrics. However, it is recommended to contact them in advance.
We could only go in and watch.
After cycling for a while, we started to feel tired, so we decided to take a break at "Maha Thewalai". It's so shady and peaceful here.
After resting until I was no longer tired, I went for a walk at Bang Nam Phueng Market. I came back with a lot of stuff because the prices were cheap.
After walking around the market, we continued cycling to the Sri Nakhon Khan Dam Park.
Next, visit the Betta Fish Museum.
And then we sat down to rest at a coffee shop in the museum.
Exhausted from cycling, I couldn't bring myself to return the bike. I left it at the pier of Kamnan Khao, which is not far from the museum.
Take a cross-river ferry at Khamnan Khao Pier for 10 baht per person. The ferry will take you to Khlong Toei Pier, where you can also rent bicycles.
Exiting Khlong Toei Port, there is a bus depot where you can catch a connecting bus to the subway or skytrain.
It's so easy to get to Bang Nam Phueng Market... I'll definitely be back many more times :-)
