The first chapter of the book "FBPW" was about a trip to Chiang Mai and then to Chiang Rai in a confused way. This time, the author is back in Chiang Rai again in a confused way, but not as spontaneously as the last time. This time, the author has done their homework well. Since this time they are traveling solo, without anyone to take them on a motorcycle ride, they can only visit temples and make merit in the city center. They found that...

Many temples, indeed.

Of course, this time, the FPO used the same old green mail service to travel from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai. As soon as they arrived, they started sightseeing without hesitation, starting at ...

Wat Phra Singh

Wat Phra Sing is a royal temple in Chiang Rai province. In the northern region, each area has a Phra Singh Buddha image for worship. Chiang Mai and Chiang Khong also have their own Phra Singh temples. Additionally, within the temple, there is a revered Luang Pho Tan Jai Buddha image enshrined in the ordination hall.

The Phra Singh Buddha statue is enshrined in the adjacent chapel.

After paying respects at Wat Phra Singh, another iconic temple in Chiang Rai is Wat Phra Kaew, located nearby.

The Emerald Buddha in Chiang Rai is a replica of the original, which is currently enshrined at Wat Phra Kaew in Bangkok. The interior of the ubosot is adorned with green emerald glass and murals.

The temple also houses a museum showcasing Lanna-style Buddha statues. The exhibits are beautifully presented.

Wat Phra That Doi Chom Thong

The significance of Wat Phra That Doi Chom Thong lies in its role as the location of the city pillar, known as the "Sao Sa Duea Mueang." This pillar served as a sacred site for various ceremonies in the past. The Sao Sa Duea Mueang was constructed during the reign of King Mengrai.

Wat Phra That Doi Khao Khwai

Have you ever seen Chiang Rai from a 360-degree perspective? This is the first time that the Royal Thai Air Force has been able to see Chiang Rai from above. We love it! Chiang Rai still has a provincial feel, with plenty of green space.

**Wat Huai Pla Kang**

From the vantage point of Wat Phra That Doi Khao Kwai, one can observe the imposing white statue of Guan Yin, marking the location of Wat Huai Plakang. Intrigued, the author descended from Doi Khao Kwai and proceeded directly to Wat Huai Plakang.

The temple of Huai Pla Kang is dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy, Guanyin, as the abbot of the temple is of Chinese descent. Those who revere Guanyin should not forget to pay their respects. It is very beautiful.

Before returning to our accommodation today, we must not miss the opportunity to pay respects to King Mengrai, the founder of Chiang Rai.

For this trip, the accommodation was at The Legend Chiang Rai, a resort-style hotel located in the heart of the city. The room that I booked was the Grand Deluxe Studio.

What we were most excited about was... Welcome Snack! The room had cookies and three more pieces of Thai dessert in the refrigerator. It was so delicious, so delicious that I wanted to call the front desk and ask for 10 more plates (would that give me diabetes?).

The legend also has a famous Italian restaurant in Chiang Rai province. This is a must-try. Before going out to see the clock tower, let's try Italian food first.

The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was great. (I was so busy eating that I forgot to take a picture of the restaurant. T_T)

We originally planned to visit the Walking Street in the evening because we loved it so much the last time we were here. However, our dream was shattered because...

"Walking Street is open on Sundays."

However, I have a class on Tuesday, so I won't be able to go. I'm so bummed! T_T

We arrived at the clock tower around 8:45 pm. There were quite a few tourists, and there were a few more restaurants in the surrounding area. There was also a milk tea shop that looked delicious. The Light and Sound show started a little late today, but it was still just as amazing as always.

After the performance, it was time to rest so that we could continue our journey the next day. Today, we were filled with blessings and joy, but our pilgrimage tour was not over yet.

Before going to breakfast, I took a walk to breathe in the fresh air around the hotel. There were a lot of trees, which was nice. :)

The restaurant at The Legend is right next to the Kok River. It's a pity that it was raining that day, so we had to eat inside instead. But the atmosphere was okay. It's great that the resort is located by the Kok River. The atmosphere is even better.

"I'm so excited to finally find a breakfast salad bar with boiled eggs! It's so delicious, I can't stop eating it!"

Before continuing our journey, the hotel recommended a nearby blue temple located just across the street. The temple was built by a disciple of Ajarn Chalermchai and is said to be very beautiful. We decided to visit before leaving.

The Blue Temple, also known as Wat Rong Suea Ten, is another hidden gem that rivals the beauty of Wat Rong Khun. The main hall, or viharn, has been recently renovated and painted in a vibrant blue color. Inside, visitors will find a white Buddha statue and stunning murals. The temple's beauty is truly indescribable and must be experienced firsthand.

This trip was truly fulfilling and enriching. We had the opportunity to pay respects at temples in Chiang Rai, and there were so many attractions in the city that we couldn't even see them all. During the winter months, when there are numerous festivals, there are even more activities to enjoy. We spent almost two days exploring the city.

Questions

How many times should you visit Chiang Rai to see everything? (10 points)

I'm sorry, I can't translate that. It appears to be gibberish or a made-up word. I can only translate real words and phrases.
