Hello everyone, I'm back again with another review. The topic of this review is "How did I end up at Khao Kiri Wong?" As of now, I'm still confused and can't answer how I ended up here. Haha... Don't scold me yet. I'm just using a metaphor to describe how I ended up at Khao Kiri Wong. It was a trip that I didn't plan at all. It was like I ran away from home. 555+ Before the trip, a friend invited me to go to Khao Kiri Wong during the holidays. But... I didn't plan anything because I misunderstood my friend's holiday. I thought it was still a few days away. "When we talked on Friday, my friend said that he was off work on Sunday. I agreed because I thought it was the Sunday of the following week. But it turned out to be the coming Sunday." What can I do? I already agreed, so I went. And that's how this trip came about. How did I end up at Khao Kiri Wong? [A travel story of a confused young adult who works]

This was a short trip, similar to a one-day trip, as my friend and I both live in the south. This made it easy to travel and meet halfway. Due to our limited time, we decided on a night trip, leaving on Saturday night and returning on Sunday morning. We originally wanted to leave on Saturday morning, but my friend was busy with work. By the time we met up, it was already evening. This is how it goes when you're young and busy, and both single [both recently dumped, haha]. So, we decided to go on a trip, what else were we going to do? As I mentioned, we didn't plan anything. Initially, we thought about staying in Nakhon Si Thammarat city, but my friend suddenly said he was tired and didn't want to drive anymore. So, we looked for a roadside hotel. There were many hotels on the way to Khao Kiriwong, and we chose one randomly. We just looked for a hotel with lights on and turned in. Luckily, we found a comfortable hotel with a very spacious room, especially the bathroom. Before going to bed, we agreed to wake up around 8 am to breathe in the morning air at Khao Kiriwong.

I'm canceling our 8 AM appointment. It's already past 9 AM and everyone is still waking up. By the time we shower and get dressed, it will be almost noon. We'll be arriving at Khao Kiri Wong around noon.

On the way there, I noticed many fruit orchards along the road. It was the perfect time to see the fruits in season. I don't remember which road it was, but it wasn't the main road. I just followed Google Maps, and it didn't lead me astray.

Upon arrival, I immediately rushed to the iconic landmark, the Kiree Wong Bridge over Khlong Tha Dee. The bridge is a popular photo spot, and when I arrived, the crowd was still manageable. However, within a short time, the area became packed, preventing me from taking a picture with the bridge. It's worth noting that I don't prioritize taking pictures of myself; instead, I focus on capturing the scenery. After taking numerous photos of the bridge, I started feeling hungry and decided to find a place to rest and plan my itinerary for the day in Kiree Wong.

A Blast from the Past: Exploring Khao Kho's Nostalgic Charm

Nestled amidst the scenic mountains of Khao Kho, "Nai Tang's Shop" offers a unique experience that transcends mere dining. Stepping into this establishment is like stepping back in time, surrounded by a treasure trove of vintage items that evoke a sense of nostalgia for a bygone era. From everyday household objects to quirky gadgets, each artifact whispers tales of a simpler time, before the dawn of the 21st century.

The eclectic collection serves as a testament to the passage of time, each item a tangible reminder of the evolution of our daily lives. Recognizing these relics sparks a sense of connection to the past, bridging the gap between generations and prompting introspection about our own experiences.

Beyond its historical charm, Nai Tang's Shop also boasts a delectable menu, offering a delightful culinary journey alongside the visual feast. The dishes, while not groundbreaking, provide a satisfying accompaniment to the immersive atmosphere.

This unique establishment invites visitors to linger, to savor the flavors and delve into the stories woven into the fabric of the past. It's an ideal destination for those seeking a leisurely escape, a chance to unwind and reconnect with a simpler time, where the pace of life was slower and the world held a touch more magic.

After gathering additional information, we were full and sleepy. We decided to take a nap. Our original plan was too complicated to explain in writing. We simply agreed with our friends to drive in a certain direction first. We decided to head north first, towards the Nan Hin Tha Ha route.

This spot is not far from the bridge. It's like a spillway with a beautiful view. I saw black fish as big as a cat.

After taking plenty of photos, we continued driving, enjoying the beautiful scenery along the way. The road ended at Na Hin Tha Ha, where we were greeted by heavy rain. Fortunately, this gave us the opportunity to relax at a coffee shop. The post-rain atmosphere was stunning, with mist gently floating among the lush green trees in the surrounding forest. It was a truly magical experience.

After spending a considerable amount of time at Khao Hin Ta & Haad, it was time to bid farewell and move on to our next destination. We drove back towards Saphan, where the roadsides were lined with an abundance of fruits displayed for sale by local farmers. We couldn't resist the temptation to sample some of the local produce, including the renowned Khao Hin Ta fruits. Note: We only managed to capture a photograph of the mangosteen.

A Tranquil Panorama: Unveiling the Hidden Gem of Khao Kiriwong

As we descended from the summit of Khao Kiriwong, satiated from the delectable fruits of the region, our journey led us to a captivating viewpoint. This particular spot offered a breathtaking panorama of the mountain's vast expanse, unveiling its grandeur in a way that resonated deeply with me. It quickly became my favorite vantage point within Khao Kiriwong.

To our surprise, despite spending several hours reveling in the scenic beauty and capturing countless photographs, we encountered not a single soul during our time there. This stark contrast to the bustling crowds near the bridge created an atmosphere of tranquility and solitude, perfectly aligning with our desire for a peaceful retreat.

This hidden gem, tucked away from the throngs of tourists, presented an opportunity for profound reflection and connection with nature's serenity. The absence of distractions allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the moment, appreciating the breathtaking vista before us.

The secluded nature of this viewpoint invites those seeking a respite from the hustle and bustle of daily life. It offers a sanctuary for quiet contemplation and rejuvenation, a place to reconnect with oneself and the natural world.

While the allure of Khao Kiriwong's iconic bridge draws many visitors, this lesser-known corner provides an equally captivating experience, albeit in a more intimate and serene setting. It serves as a reminder that true beauty often lies beyond the well-trodden path, waiting to be discovered by those who seek it.
