During the recent New Year's period, I had the opportunity to dine at a southern Thai restaurant. The food was so delicious that I felt compelled to share my experience with you. This restaurant specializes in authentic Phuket cuisine, offering a taste of the south without the need to travel all the way to Phuket. The name of the restaurant is likely familiar to many of you: Parayraya. Located in Sukhumvit Soi 8, the restaurant is easily accessible. Simply turn into the soi and continue driving until you reach the end. The restaurant will be on your left-hand side. Parayraya is open daily from 10:30 AM to 10:30 PM.

The parking lot is limited.

The restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes, as shown in the photos I have provided. Please excuse the blurry or small images.

After browsing the enticing menu, let's feast our eyes on the delectable dishes. The first item is "Moo Hong," a braised pork belly dish infused with aromatic spices. The melt-in-your-mouth pork boasts a rich, sweet, and savory flavor that strikes the perfect balance. This is a must-try for those who don't mind indulging, but even if you're watching your weight, it's worth the splurge. The generous portion is priced at 250 baht.

Another must-try dish at this restaurant is the "Crab Meat Curry with Betel Leaves and Rice Noodles." The crab meat is served in large chunks, and the curry is thick and spicy. This dish is served with rice noodles and is available in two sizes: small (400 baht) and large (600 baht). I ordered the small size, which was still quite large and almost too much for me to finish.

Next, we had "Shrimp Skewer Chili Paste," served with a variety of fresh vegetables. The flavor was pleasantly salty and well-rounded. 200 baht.

The final dish, "Stir-fried Mimosa Leaves with Egg," features mimosa leaves stir-fried with egg. The taste is slightly salty but delicious. 200 baht.

I ordered a cup of rice, which was a generous portion for 20 baht.

The total order consisted of the following dishes. The restaurant's prices are relatively high, but considering the quality of the ingredients and the delicious taste, I think it's worth it. However, it's probably not a place to visit frequently due to the cost. This concludes my review. I apologize for any errors.
