Baan Suan Pruksa Homestay offers an exceptional value proposition, combining affordability with a comfortable and convenient stay in a stunning natural setting. Whether you're seeking a relaxing getaway or an adventurous escape, this homestay is an ideal choice.

To reach the accommodation, start from Chanthaburi city center and drive until you reach the junction where you can turn right to Trat province or left to Sa Kaeo province. Turn left towards Sa Kaeo and follow the Chanthaburi-Sa Kaeo route for approximately 20 kilometers. You will see a sign for Wat Khao Banjob, turn left and drive for about 4 kilometers. At the three-way intersection, turn right and continue along the road until you reach Wat Thung Phel. Turn left and drive straight for another 2 kilometers. Baan Suan Phruksa will be on your left-hand side.

Pictures of the scenery on the way to the accommodation

After a scenic drive, we arrived at our accommodation. The sign is located at the entrance.

Some parking spaces are available.

Continuing with a few more photos of the accommodation, the house I stayed in is the one on the left. It's called "Boom Boom House" and is a single-story concrete house with two adjoining rooms. Each room can accommodate approximately 10-12 people.

(Photo of the room taken before I left. I didn't have time to take a photo when I checked in because there were children in the room and it was messy with their belongings. I took the photo before I left instead. The staff were cleaning the room, so I didn't want to disturb them. The photo is not very detailed.)

Looking straight ahead from the front of the room, you will see a pavilion by the water.

Upon arrival at the riverside pavilion, guests are greeted with refreshing butterfly pea flower juice and a selection of fruits. Both the juice and fruits are available for unlimited refills.

Before playing in the water, we need to refuel. After driving a long way, we grilled the food we had brought (shrimp, squid, and barbecue that we prepared ourselves, not from the accommodation).

After a delicious meal, it's time to cool off in the refreshing waterfall. This picture shows the path leading up to the pavilion and the waterfall.

Upon descending, you can immediately jump into the waterfall. The water is not very deep, but it is truly refreshing.

After playing in the water, we showered and changed into clean clothes before heading out for dinner, which was provided by the accommodation. The dinner buffet offered unlimited refills. I ordered two of each dish, even though I hadn't finished the previous ones. I ate until I was about to burst! 555

And of course, a must-try local dish in Chanthaburi is the "Kaeng Moo Bai Chamuang" (Pork Curry with Chamuang Leaves).

After we were full, we went downstairs to take some photos before going to bed.

After a good night's rest, wake up in the morning and walk to the pavilion by the water, where you will find rice porridge, bread with coffee, and Ovaltine 3in1 waiting for you. The accommodation will provide a toaster and a kettle.

After a satisfying meal, we took a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear water before heading home. The abundance of fish was remarkable, and they playfully nibbled at us, creating a ticklish sensation. It was a truly delightful experience.

After playing in the water, it was time to go home. Before leaving, I took a walk around the accommodation to take some photos. The wooden bridge belongs to the homestay next door, and we can ask them to walk in and take photos.

Before leaving, I came across a giant grasshopper. It was truly enormous.

This trip was amazing! For 800 baht per person, I think it was a great value. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, with air conditioning and strong Wi-Fi. The food was delicious and plentiful, with unlimited refills. The atmosphere was fantastic, with the sound of the waterfall adding to the ambiance. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. The only downside was a leak in the bathroom sink pipe in my room. I think it would be better to check the rooms before guests arrive to ensure everything is in working order. Other than that, I have no complaints. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
