The first trip of the new year was to Kanchanaburi in mid-January. It has been many years since I last visited Kanchanaburi.

Drawn to the ocean's allure and the soothing rhythm of its waves, I rarely venture to this coastal region. Yet, each visit rekindles the same sense of wonder and awe.

For this trip, we opted to stay at "X2 River Kwai," a stylish resort with a tranquil ambiance nestled along the banks of the River Kwai.

The perfect place to unwind for your first trip of the year. However, as mentioned earlier, this location offers much more than just relaxation.

We started our journey early this morning, so we had plenty of time. We arrived in Kanchanaburi around 11 am.

I haven't been here for a long time, so I took the opportunity to visit my friend. It's almost time for dinner.

We met at "Villa La Flora," a charming cafe located within the resort of the same name.

The interior design is adorable, with numerous cozy corners perfect for relaxation.

The exterior angles are also cute.

This charming detail is sure to captivate any woman. It's the perfect spot for a captivating photoshoot.

Let's order some drinks to quench our thirst first. I'll have an iced latte, please.

Your friend's portion is green tea, served with snacks.

Just wait a moment and the food will be here... The most famous dish here is the spicy instant noodle salad.

Let's try a dish... It looks delicious, but the taste is a bit too sweet.

The spaghetti carbonara was delicious. It was good.

The staff also recommended pizza, which we couldn't resist trying.

The meal ended with a delicious iced dessert, leaving us feeling incredibly satisfied and happy.

Full and satisfied after a delicious meal and catching up with friends, it's time to bid farewell and head to the resort for a relaxing night's sleep.

The food here is delicious and affordable, but the drinks are just average. I really like the decor, though.

Perfect for chilling, gossiping, and taking cool photos. There are plenty of angles to choose from. Thanks to my friend for this meal.

It's a short drive from Villa la flora, approximately 15 minutes.

We arrived at X2 River Kwai at 13.45 and checked in smoothly.

The staff informed me that the check-in time was 2 pm, so they invited me to wait in the lounge.

Relax and cool down. The air-conditioned room is refreshing... This corner is decorated like a library.

Chic and impressive from the first corner. This area is exclusive for hotel guests only.

Shortly after, a staff member served a welcome drink. Although it appears purple, it is actually lemon water.

Refreshingly sour and delicious! I love the stylish glass it came in, it shows attention to detail.

Located downstairs is the Bridge Bar & Bistro, which is open to the public.

Upon arrival for check-in, the staff informed us that the room was not yet ready. This was due to the fact that our arrival date was a Sunday.

All rooms were occupied by guests who arrived on Saturday, and the cleaning was not completed on time. Therefore, it was recommended that they have afternoon tea first.

This is complimentary for guests staying here...Okay, then let's go sit downstairs.

Cross to River Kwai offers more than just relaxation. It boasts numerous stylish corners perfect for capturing stunning photos.

Hot tea and fragrant waffles are served....crispy and delicious. Drizzle with honey, it's a perfect match.

The staff informed us shortly after that our room was ready. Our room for today is conveniently located near the dining area.

The River Kwai Bridge...it really captures the atmosphere of Kanchanaburi. Everything is stylish in the Cross to style that we love.

"Let's walk around to the back… to get to our room. The sky is so clear today, but the sun in Kanchanaburi is truly like no other in the world."

Brightly colored containers... our room today is on the 1st-3rd floor.

The air conditioning in the room is cool and inviting, making me want to jump onto the bed. The pristine white sheets are calling my name, beckoning me to lie down and rest.

The end of the bed is a soft sofa... perfect for sitting and enjoying the view in front of you.

A selection of relaxing and chill music CDs is available, perfectly complementing the tranquil atmosphere.

The back of the bed is a long bar-style work desk, which is a really efficient use of space.

Amenities are complete, including towels, bath towels, hand towels, bathrobes, slippers, and umbrellas.

The mini bar is available, but there is a charge. Only tea, coffee, and plain water are free.

The "Do Not Disturb" and "Please Clean Up" signs displayed on the doors here are quite appealing.

It can be attached to the door with a magnet.

The bathroom is divided into wet and dry areas, which are separated on opposite sides. I love it!

Walk straight in and you will find two sinks, so there is no need to fight for them. There is also a hot and cold water system available.

The amenities kit comes in a stylish packaging that we haven't seen at Cross Two before. Usually, when staying at Cross Two, the amenities are in white tubes from Yan Spa.

The absence of a spa may have prompted the creation of this unique package. We appreciate the vibrant colors and stylish design.

The right side is the dry area, while the left side has both a shower and a rain shower. The water pressure is strong and refreshing.

Behind the counter, there is also a bathtub for soaking.

Our room, though a square box like a container, still has a small window to enjoy the view.

The reason we chose the room on the upper floor is because we wanted to have a clear view of the River Kwai, just like this.

A spacious daybed sofa offers a cozy corner to relax with a refreshing drink.

As the sun sets and the wind dies down, I lie down and watch the sunset... It's so beautiful.

The cloak is incredibly stylish... I love it the most.

After a good night's sleep, let's go downstairs and enjoy the view. The sun has set and the wind has calmed down, so the weather should be pleasant.

The pool here is not very deep, only 1.2 meters, and there is also a children's pool.

Every corner is stylish, making us stop to take pictures every time.

We will not be dining out tonight, but rather enjoying a meal within the resort.

The evening atmosphere was excellent. We had dinner by the River Kwai, and the ambiance was peaceful and serene.

The evening light is also very beautiful.

The air-conditioned interior offers a cool and comfortable environment, with stylish tables and plush sofas to choose from.

We would prefer to sit outside, please. The natural cool air is pleasant.

The restaurant here is stunning, especially when photographed at night. The design is simply incredible.

A couple of chilled cocktails can really set the mood for romance.

The lighting was poor during our meal due to the lack of electricity, only a kerosene lamp was available, resulting in blurry food photos.

Apologies, but today we opted for stir-fried river prawns with crispy seafood salad. The flavors were delightful and the overall experience was enjoyable.

Full and satisfied, we headed upstairs to rest...but looking up at the sky, the moon was beautiful and the stars were plentiful.

May I lie down and gaze at the stars for a while?

Before bed, soak in warm water with soft, fragrant bubbles to relax.

This bathroom is amazing! It has trees, creating a relaxing atmosphere like soaking in a hot spring surrounded by nature.

Waking up to the refreshing morning air... I missed the sunrise though. Hehe.

A cup of coffee with a beautiful view... A capsule coffee machine is available in the room.

Let's not sit here sipping coffee in the room. It's much more relaxing to go out to the balcony.

Waking up early to breathe fresh air, watching the gentle flow of the river, I wish to live a slow life like this forever.

Breakfast time has arrived. This morning, we have a reservation at the Bridge Bar & Bistro, the only restaurant on-site.

The buffet line offers a limited selection, mainly consisting of cereals, fruits, yogurt, and various fruit juices.

And what's indispensable for a cross-two is… a champagne breakfast, getting the blood pumping early in the morning!

This morning, I would like to sit outside... under the big tree by the river.

The black room you see in front is a new type of room at Cross Two. It is an Xfloat carbin, which is a floating room.

The ambiance of the raft trip in Kanchanaburi is truly captivating. If I have the opportunity to visit again, I would definitely consider trying this type of accommodation.

You may now choose your seats and order your food from the staff. It's an a la carte menu, with each person allowed to choose 2 sets.

We opted for four distinct dishes, each tailored to our individual preferences.

Our first dish is a visually appealing Egg Benedict.

Another dish is shrimp congee.

The third dish is a fried egg served with a vegetable salad.

The final dish was a waffle, drizzled with honey for a touch of sweetness.

The meal concludes with a small, charming glass jar containing cereal grains, tangy yogurt, and fruit.

And then it's time to go home, back to the real world, keep working.

The first thing that comes to mind when mentioning "X2: Cross 2" is its unique and stylish design.

A picturesque location that offers countless photo opportunities. This marks my fifth visit to a Cross Two resort.

We were impressed as always...at River Kwai, the staff were lovely. They were eager to help, courteous, and friendly.

The Luxe cabin's balcony is in close proximity to neighboring rooms, which can be a disadvantage for privacy.

Although the sound was relatively clear, it did not pose a significant problem.
