A short trip to embrace the mist, tease the blooming flowers, and explore the cliffs at the edge of the land at Pa Hin Ngam National Park, Ban Rai District, Thepsathit District, Chaiyaphum Province. Sometimes it's a one-day trip, morning to evening, sometimes it's a one-night stay. Stay tuned.
The most beautiful time to visit the Tung Bua Daeng Festival in Chaiyaphum Province is between June and September each year. Our family chose to visit during the July holiday. The journey from our home in Chaiyaphum City to Pa Hin Ngam National Park is approximately 130 km, a leisurely drive. For those traveling from Bangkok, the distance is only 239 km. The route is Bangkok - Saraburi - Chai Badan District - Km 73 - turn right to Lam Sonthi District - Thepsathit District, Chaiyaphum Province. The road is easy to drive. When you reach the three-way intersection in Thepsathit District, turn left and drive for about 17 km on the Thepsathit-Nong Bua Rahew road. You will reach the entrance to Ban Rai Subdistrict. The uphill road is about 13 km long. You can stop here to rest. There are shops selling local products, a coffee shop, restrooms, and a souvenir photo spot. For backpackers traveling by bus, you can get off at this three-way intersection. Motorcycle taxis are available to take you up to the national park. The motorcycle taxi drivers are all friendly and helpful.
Seeking a caffeine boost to invigorate my senses, I made a brief stop at Baan Rai I Din, a rustic, countryside-style cafe, to enjoy a cup of coffee.
Aromatic hot and cold coffee, the taste is not inferior to shops in the city. Well! Refreshed, let's continue the journey.
In recent years, there has been no ATM service in Ban Rai Subdistrict and Pa Hin Ngam National Park. The nearest ATM was previously located in Thepsathit District, approximately 30 kilometers from the park. Currently, there is an ATM installed by the Government Savings Bank to provide 24-hour convenience to local residents and tourists. The service point is located at the Ch. Daeng Commerce store, approximately 3 kilometers before the entrance to the park, on the right-hand side of the road. Ch. Daeng Commerce also offers a variety of miscellaneous goods, food and beverages, and fuel. However, the store is closed every 19th of the month, while the ATM remains open 24/7.
In the afternoon, travel up the mountain from the entrance of Ban Rai, approximately 9 km. You will see a sign for Non Sawan Temple on your left. Turn left and follow the road a short distance to reach our destination, เส้นทาง@LOVE Resort. The light in the early evening is particularly beautiful.
We have already booked a room, which is a cute container-style room.
A Tranquil Oasis: LOVE Resort
Nestled amidst lush greenery, LOVE Resort boasts a harmonious blend of nature and comfort. Spanning four acres, the resort offers a spacious lawn, 13 well-appointed rooms, and even tent accommodations for a unique glamping experience. Room rates may vary, so it's advisable to inquire directly through their Facebook page: www.facebook.com/santang.atloveresort.
One of the resort's highlights is its pet-friendly policy, welcoming furry companions like dogs and cats (as long as they are non-aggressive). My family, for instance, brought along our two playful pups, including the adorable "Love."
Charming corner decor beside the room.
This is cute.
The cutest dog-style painting.
The adjacent room's cool wall painting, with its captivating red door, exudes a strong charm.
The room is decorated with adorable dog figurines and features air conditioning, a refrigerator, a TV, a microwave, an electric kettle, and a water heater. It is comfortable and convenient, and Rocky, the eldest daughter, loves it.
I apologize for not being able to capture the overall atmosphere of the room, as I did not have a camera at the time. I used my mobile phone to take all the photos, which resulted in images of lower quality.
The dog doll fell off the headboard, so I picked it up to take a picture and put it back in its original place.
This is my bed for tonight (I snore so much that my children made me sleep outside. Karma!). If I remember correctly, the price should be around 500 or 600 baht per night. But it's comfortable enough, with a thick, soft mattress, pillows, blankets, towels, electrical outlets, and a light in front of the tent. The shared bathroom is not a problem, and there's no need to worry about rain or dew, as the roof provides adequate protection. You also don't have to worry about being hot, as the weather here is pleasant all year round. In the middle of the night, a cool breeze blows, and you might even catch a glimpse of the fog in the early morning hours.
Stylish signs in the central hall building, which can be used for seating, dining, and recreation.
This angle is hilarious.
This is the local dog, the owner of the resort. The left one is named Fahsai (if I remember correctly), cheerful and cuddly. The right one is named Haiku, cool and playfully annoying. You can follow more of their cute stories at http://www.dog-hall.com. Guaranteed fun and heartwarming.
The common area offers complimentary Wi-Fi, tea, coffee, juice, toast, jam, and ABC bread throughout the day. I found myself spending a lot of time there.
After a satisfying meal, take a leisurely stroll through the garden, capturing picturesque moments with your camera. Enjoy a relaxing walk on the lush green lawn, and we'll return for more culinary delights later.
Take your time, relax, and enjoy the slow life.
And then gradually drifted off to sleep (human wife).
Perfect for those seeking tranquility, whether with family, friends, a significant other, or even furry companions.
A grassy field with dappled sunlight and a gentle breeze.
Only some of the photo spots are shown here. Not all photos are included.
As evening approaches, let's explore the culinary delights offered by the establishment.
The twilight sky begins to glow, with beautiful clouds and changing colors. The decorative lights start to illuminate, creating a perfect harmony.
The dining room is simple yet romantic, with a cozy atmosphere.
The weather is getting cooler. Have dinner and go to bed early. Tomorrow morning, we have a program to see the flowers and visit the edge of the land.
The morning atmosphere is filled with gentle sunshine and a cool breeze.
After breakfast and taking care of the children's needs, it was already late in the morning. I wouldn't be able to make it to the park to see the morning mist.
However, it still appears.
Don't forget to support local businesses by purchasing a souvenir t-shirt or two while checking in at tourist attractions.
Shuttle service to view the "Dok Jiew" flowers costs approximately 40 baht per person. For more information, including travel, accommodation, and camping within the park, please contact the Pa Hin Ngam National Park at 044-890105 or the Chaiyaphum Provincial Public Relations Office at 044-822502.
The park is open from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. If you wake up early and come, you will encounter a foggy atmosphere like this. It's amazing.
The highlight of the "Pha Sud Pha Din" area offers stunning views of the Phang Heo mountain range and the meeting point of three regions: Isan (Chaiyaphum), Central (Lopburi), and Northern (Phetchabun). This location served as the filming site for the famous Thai drama "Nakee," specifically the scene where Thanin Phol, after becoming a monk, meditates at the end of the series. Another notable spot is the "Lan Hin Ngam" area, which features breathtaking scenery and was also used in the "Nakee" drama. For fans of the show, these locations provide an opportunity to retrace the steps of their favorite characters.
Regardless of the year, whether the siam tulips bloom abundantly or sparsely, we still enjoy traveling to Pa Hin Ngam National Park in Thepsathit District, Chaiyaphum Province. We never get tired of it! In addition to the siam tulip field and the Pha Sud Pha Din cliff, there are other attractions to visit. However, I did not take any pictures of them. These include the beautiful rock formations, such as the FIFA Cup Rock, the Radar Rock, and the most impressive, the Mor Ham Dang Rock. Legend has it that women who have difficulty conceiving will have an easier time conceiving if they touch the Mor Ham Dang Rock.
This concludes our short family trip. We will likely return to the Krasiao flower field next year, as it is close to home. Next time, we will capture the atmosphere of the flower field with the mist. The Pa Hin Ngam National Park, the Krasiao flower field, and the people of Chaiyaphum welcome all tourists during the tourism festival season from June to September. We hope you will come and experience the wonderful atmosphere together. Goodbye.
