...Chiang Mai is a popular tourist destination, especially during the winter season. However, this time we will take you on a journey to explore Chiang Mai during the rainy season.

...Let's go...

[Day 1]

...On this trip, we flew with the red-tailed airline, which we booked last year and almost forgot about. The round-trip price was around 600 baht per person.

...We arrived in Chiang Mai at 1 pm. As soon as we got off the plane, we immediately called the motorcycle rental shop, where we had already booked a Honda Click-I 125.

Upon receiving the car, we were famished and immediately headed to the Mae Sai Khao Soi restaurant.

I am very impressed by the Khao Soi at this restaurant. The flavors are rich and the price is reasonable. (This restaurant may be a bit difficult to find as it is located in an alley. If you are coming from Huay Kaew Road towards Doi Suthep, turn into the alley opposite the Shell gas station. Go straight and turn right, then turn left. The restaurant is on the left-hand side.)

Price 40 baht, free water.

After enjoying a delicious Khao Soi, we headed to Ristr8to Lab, a coffee shop renowned for its world-class Latte Art, ranked 6th globally.

This is the second branch of the restaurant. It is located in Soi Nimmanhaemin 3, on the right-hand side as you enter the soi. The first branch is located at the front of Soi Nimmanhaemin 3, next to Roti Gu.

The menu features information on coffee bean varieties and their flavor profiles from various origins. We ordered the signature drink of this establishment, the "Satan Latte".

The coffee here is truly excellent. It's no wonder why it's always crowded.

After recharging, we embarked on our journey to "Baan Rabeang Dao." From Chiang Mai city, we drove straight on Highway 107. We turned left at the road to Tham Chiang Dao and continued uphill until we reached our destination. The drive took approximately two and a half hours. During our ascent, we encountered light rain throughout the journey. Fortunately, upon arrival, the rain intensified significantly.

We then contacted the accommodation, which we had booked in advance for only 500 baht per person. Breakfast and dinner were included.

After packing our belongings, we rushed to the balcony of our accommodation to grab our cameras. The view that greeted us was none other than the majestic Doi Luang Chiang Dao.

It's truly breathtaking, like being in another world.

After taking photos for a while, dinner was served...

The food was incredibly delicious, and the atmosphere was enhanced by the light rain and mist-covered mountains. It was a truly remarkable experience.

After finishing our meal, darkness began to fall, and we retired to our lodgings for rest.

[Day Two]

...At 5:30 a.m., the alarm clock went off. I opened the door to the balcony and it was pitch black. It was also raining very heavily. So I went back to sleep to....

Waking up at 6 am, I finished showering and getting dressed. As I opened the door, I stood there in awe of the natural beauty that unfolded before me. The breathtaking scenery, a masterpiece of nature, left me speechless for a moment.

This is breakfast.

Coffee for tens, views for millions...

...The fun is over. It's time to pack up and head back to Chiang Mai city. But before we leave, we stop by the old Chiang Dao Khao Kha Moo restaurant to refuel before hitting the road...

...After we were full, we headed to the next destination: the Queen Sirikit Botanic Garden in Mae Rim District. The entrance fee is 40 baht per person and 30 baht for motorcycles. Upon arrival, we took photos as we wandered around, but we couldn't cover the entire garden as it was vast.

… famished after our midday outing, we headed back to the city center. Our destination: the Tom Yum Noodle Shop near Suan Dok Gate.

The cost is 60 baht per bowl. (Located right at the Suan Dok Gate)

After a delicious meal, we headed to The Volcano for dessert. This affordable eatery is located behind Chiang Mai University (use Google Maps for directions, as it can be tricky to find otherwise).

Beat the heat with a refreshing butterbeer.

After a satisfying meal, we checked into our pre-booked accommodation on Agoda. The hotel, Prestige Chiangmai, is located on Huay Kaew Road, just past Maya shopping mall on the left-hand side. The room rate was 990 baht per night. The top floor features a swimming pool and a bar.

Feeling tired, I'm going to take a nap.

...I woke up and it was already evening. Let's go find something to eat...

Head to GU Roti shop, located on Nimmanhaemin Road Soi 3, next to Ristr8to.

I can't remember the name of the menu item, but it came with iced tea. The taste was decent.

It's time to take a stroll at the walking street. The day we went was Saturday. The walking street will be located on Wualai Road.

Along the way, there were many things to see, including local shops and souvenir stalls. We snacked as we walked, so I didn't take any pictures of the food.

...After a tiring walk, they returned to their accommodation...

[The Last Day]

...6 a.m. The alarm clock rings...

It's time to return to the fast-paced life of Bangkok again...

On our last morning, we had breakfast at Jok Tohn Phayom, located on the side of Suthep Road near the Tohn Phayom market. The restaurant is on the same road as The Volcano.

A light snack to tide us over: deep-fried dough sticks with sweet custard.

Pork congee with egg. The congee is smooth, thick, and delicious.

After a satisfying meal, we headed to Wat Phra Singh to pay respects to the Buddha for good fortune before returning to Bangkok. Our final destination was Wat Phra That Doi Suthep ...

It is said that if you come to Chiang Mai and do not pay respects at Phra That Doi Suthep, it is as if you have not arrived...

Before heading back, we stopped by Khao Soi Nimmanha for lunch. The restaurant is located on Nimmanha Soi 7, on the right-hand side as you enter the soi.

I ordered Khao Soi with Sai Oua, and the taste was quite delicious.

And then it was really time to go back...

This concludes my review. Thank you for your patience in reading this far. ^^
