Hello everyone!
The Once-a-month team is back after a long break from traveling.
This time, we're taking you on a trip to >>>> Phuket.
We'll be eating, sightseeing, and experiencing life in Phuket for a full day. Let's see what we can do in one day.
Travel to .... PHUKET
This trip to Phuket, we traveled on April 1st for 2 days and 1 night. This time we traveled by airasia to save time.
Setting off in the early hours, the first light of day arrives with rain. Let's see if we can avoid it in Phuket.
It took us just over an hour to reach Phuket Airport. The weather is currently very hot and sunny.
After landing, we walked to the shuttle bus stop to get into the city. We got off at the hotel and paid 100 baht.
SINO INN Hotel
We have arrived at our accommodation for tonight, SINO INN, located in the city of Loei. After checking in and storing our belongings, we proceeded to rent a car.
Fortunately, the hotel offers car rentals, eliminating the need to search elsewhere. The rental fee is 300 baht per day.
This is a picture of the inside of the room.
Chokchai Dim Sum
Visiting Phuket, you can't miss out on dim sum. Everywhere you go, you'll find dim sum restaurants. So, I opened Wongnai to search for one, and I found this restaurant near our accommodation.
The restaurant serves the food on trays like this. We can choose what we want to eat. If we want more of something, we can order it.
My partner and I devoured almost everything, taking turns to choose which piece to eat next.
CAFE' IN
After a savory meal, let's indulge in some sweets at Cafe' in, located next to the Phuket Thai Hua Museum.
Indulge in a local Phuket delicacy known as "Oh Aew".
This is what "Ohw Ew" looks like. It is said that Ohw Ew resembles jelly, which is derived from Ohw Ew seeds.
The shop offers a variety of refreshing beverages, including honey lemon, red bean, watermelon rose, and longan.
Besides Oh Aew, there is also coffee, cold crepe, and savory food.
Saphan Hin Kanom Jeen
In a flash, it's lunchtime again. For lunch today, we rode our bikes to eat rice noodles at the "Saphan Hin Rice Noodles" shop.
The shop is located at the roundabout of Hoi Saphan Hin. There is a large sign in front of the shop, so it is easy to find.
The restaurant offers a wide variety of rice noodle dishes. For a better look at the menu, please refer to the pictures.
And here's what we ordered: fish maw curry, coconut milk curry, beef curry, and crab curry.
The restaurant offers complimentary vegetables. They are arranged in trays in the refrigerator, and you can help yourself.
Enjoying delicious "khanom jeen" noodles while admiring stunning photos of Phuket. Feeling incredibly happy! :)))
Mai Khao Beach
Many people may have seen pictures of tourists taking pictures of airplanes landing and taking off.
Wondering where this is? It's none other than "Mai Khao Beach," just a short distance from the airport.
Upon arrival, the beach was relatively peaceful with only a few tourists. While waiting for the flight, we took some photos to pass the time.
It's here... but wait! Why not during landing? As soon as I had this question, I immediately searched Google.
The visibility of the landing gear depends on the wind direction. However, it's okay to come back later.
I managed to capture a photo of a lion before leaving.
Laem Phromthep
Promthep Cape, arguably the most famous sunset viewing spot in Phuket, was our next destination after leaving Mai Khao Beach. We arrived around 5 pm to find the area already bustling with tourists, most of whom had secured their spots. The number of visitors continued to grow steadily, so if you plan to visit, it's advisable to arrive early.
Capture a photo of Laem Phromthep without any people in the frame.
We didn't wait until sunset because we had to ride back, so we left a little early. On the way down from Laem Phromthep, we came across another viewpoint called "Windmill Viewpoint". It's another viewpoint where you can watch the sunset.
Chakangrao
While "Cha Kang Rao" might conjure up images of refreshing grass jelly, we're here to introduce you to a different side of this establishment: their delicious noodle dishes.
A wide variety of menus are available for you to choose from.
Our order consists of clear pork bone noodles and dry ancient Chakangrao noodles.
We had a wonderful time and the food was delicious. The broth was especially flavorful. We are now full and ready to rest after a long day of exploring.
Royal Taste Dim Sum
As a bonus, I'll treat you to breakfast at "Ratcha Rot Dim Sum" the next day.
Dim sum is ready to serve in the cabinet. It looks delicious. I only took a few pictures.
And here it is, I grabbed this without even thinking if I could finish it all. I even ordered porridge and bak kut teh on top of that.
How was our 1 day in Phuket? If anyone says they don't have time, try it our way!
Tomorrow we will go diving at "Koh Mai Thon" with loveandaman.
But the review will be separate. Please stay tuned!
