As buildings begin to dominate our surroundings,
Malls are ubiquitous, with one found almost every 2 kilometers.
The air is thick with pollution, forcing pedestrians to breathe through face masks.
No matter which way you go, you will encounter traffic jams everywhere.
***Prosperity often comes hand in hand with hustle and bustle.
Many people have few choices, so they have to endure and keep fighting.
"Despite the long rant, the real reason for the visit was simply to take some photos (-.-"). In the morning, we will head to Bang Krachao, and in the evening, we will wait for the sunset at PTT's Urban Forest Project."
At "Bang Krachao"
We have heard this name for a long time, but we just had the opportunity to go. There are already many reviews, but let me write a little bit.
We started our day by parking our car at Wat Bang Na Nok and taking a ferry across the river. The ferry ride cost only 4 baht per person.
If you are unsure of how to reach Wat Bang Na Nok, follow our directions. We have enabled GPS navigation, or you can drive and park on the Bang Krachao side.
Take the Skytrain and get off at Bang Na Station. Then, you can take a taxi to the destination. It's not far.
Take a boat across the Chao Phraya River to the other side, which is the Bang Nam Phueng Nok Temple pier. Motorcycles can also be brought onto the boat.
We arrived around 10 am, and it was scorching hot. We rented bicycles at the pier for 50 baht per day. They had a variety of bikes to choose from and provided us with a map, free drinking water, and cold towels.
Our first destination, "Sri Nakhon Khan Park," is a nature study forest. It was quite a long bike ride from the pier, but we enjoyed it, taking pictures and wiping away sweat. It was hot and sunny, so don't forget to bring water with you.
Even with a map, we didn't always find the right way. We got lost and had fun, asking for directions from the locals along the way. There were also plenty of snacks to be found along our cycling route.
Upon entering the garden, a sense of tranquility washes over you. The entrance is lined with various shops, primarily offering refreshments. Within the garden itself, a single shop stands near the fountain.
The park has signs indicating the way. To reach the popular observation tower, follow the signs for the "Birdwatching Tower".
This is the spot where everyone comes to lie down and take photos. However, I'm here alone and waiting for another group to arrive so I can sneakily take some photos. Unfortunately, no one is lying down to take photos.
Stopping at every point that seems to have something.
This garden offers numerous photogenic spots. The weather is neither hot nor cold, creating a comfortable atmosphere.
Point 2: Thai Fighting Fish Museum
Turn right at the garden entrance. You will find a fish farm with various betta fish breeds.
Nestled within, a tranquil and shaded café awaits, inviting you to unwind and embrace the serenity. "Ah, what a relaxing atmosphere!"
A hawk is kept to eat betta fish ... chop chop chop // Just kidding
Yes, the animal is tame and well-cared for. It can be held on the arm or shoulder for photos.
Two additional points of interest on the map were Baan Thup Hom and Bang Nam Phueng Market. However, due to the large crowds, we decided to skip them. After returning the bicycles and crossing the river by boat, we continued to the "Forest in the City" project to wait for the sunset.
The sun sets on the "forest in the city".
Follow Bang Na-Trat Road towards Chonburi. Once you pass the city, look for the Kanchanaphisek Ring Road. Stay in the left lane to enter the parallel road and head towards Bang Na. Then, stay in the left lane to enter On Nut-Lat Krabang Road. Continue driving until you see the welcome sign for Prawet district. You will then see a 3-way intersection with a blue sign for the "Forest in the City" project. Turn right and drive for 4 km. The project will be on your left, between Sukhapiban 2 Soi 23 and Soi 25. Look for the tall tower.
From BTS
Take the BTS Skytrain to On Nut Station and exit through Exit 1. Walk to Big C Extra On Nut and cross the street to catch bus number 1013 (Phra Khanong - Hua Ta Khe). The fare is 16 baht for an air-conditioned bus and 9 baht for a regular bus. Get off at Sirindhorn Hospital and cross the street to catch a blue songthaew (shared taxi) to Talad 999 (Namchai) - Wat King Kaew. The project will be on your left hand side, between Sukhapiban 2 Soi 23 and Soi 25. Look for the @Chiang Mai coffee shop and press the doorbell. The car will stop in front of the project. There is a forest observation tower as a landmark.
Bus from Victory Monument

We arrived here just after 5 pm, but we don't have much time because it closes at 6 pm.
Unfortunately, the opening hours do not allow for sunrise or sunset viewing. The park staff advised against visiting during these times due to potential hazards from animals and insects in the dark.
We haven't covered all the areas yet. We hurried up to the tower, intending to wait for the sunset. But... it's 6 pm, and the sun is still far from the horizon.
The tower has a limited capacity of 30 people. Even standing alone, it sways slightly.
Offering breathtaking 360-degree views.
This is not all. There is also...
Learning Building
A short film, approximately 10 minutes in length, about forest conservation.
This is another place to learn about nature. If you enjoy photography, you should not miss it. There are many great photo opportunities.
