Last Sunday? Yes, it was a travel day. I always feel excited to travel to new places. It's a longing feeling, a strange feeling that tends to happen every Sunday, don't you think?
The Sukhumvit 101 area is surrounded by popular tourist destinations such as Bang Pu, Bang Saen, Ang Sila, Pattaya, Si Chang, Sattahip, Koh Samet, Nakhon Pathom, Ratchaburi, Kanchanaburi, Ayutthaya, and Uthai Thani. These destinations are within driving distance, allowing for short trips with opportunities to stop for food, shopping, and photography. This travel style has been a preference since my student days in Chiang Mai.
This time, I decided to go to Bang Pu myself because I saw a cafe share on Facebook a few days ago. I read what they wrote and looked at the pictures they took. It looked so beautiful, relaxing, and enjoyable. It seems like it will be another expensive trip.
**Sailom Bangpu Gallery and Restaurant** is a short drive away, located at the end of Soi Bangpu 72. Ample parking is available. It's recommended to arrive early to avoid crowds and enjoy a peaceful, crowd-free photo shoot like Prem.
We arrived at the shop around 10 am. I remember there was only one table with two people. The first thing that caught my eye was the display in front of the shop. There were beautifully colored ceramics on the wall, arranged on tables, and small and large cacti. Looking through the shop, it was a cafe mixed with a ceramic museum. The paintings on wood were lovely art, the kind that made me forget to order coffee and snacks. Haha. How beautiful was it? I was so engrossed that I forgot myself. You can see from the pictures I brought with me.
Upon entering the establishment, we first approached the bar to order coffee and pastries. The flavors were satisfactory, saving us from embarrassment. Although we felt a bit hesitant about ordering only a small amount, we were informed that in addition to the cafe and gallery, there was also a seaside restaurant within the premises. We decided to save our appetites for the food and the oceanfront view.
The price of the ceramics is a bit high, but it's understandable. The craftsmanship is excellent, and the designs are unique. The high quality justifies the slightly higher price. It's a great gift that will surely bring a smile to the recipient's face.
Walk a little and see the sign. Hey, you guys, they teach painting and sculpting by the teachers. Anyone who has a talent for this, anyone who wants to be an artist, hurry up. I secretly took a picture of the sign for you without any advertising fees.
The restaurant's design is chic, from the queue system to the staff. We were seated at a table by the sea, enjoying the sea breeze and delicious seafood. I'm not sure about the price as someone else paid, but the design of the restaurant is impressive. The photos may not do it justice, but it was a memorable experience. I would definitely recommend a return visit.
The restaurant's high-tech ordering system allows customers to order food by selecting wifi, clicking, and viewing the order's status, including preparation time and estimated delivery time. Additionally, the system offers lower prices compared to ordering with staff. This innovative approach deserves praise for its convenience and cost-effectiveness.
