As the rainy season arrives, the flora flourishes, with both small and large plants, including the delicate purple-hued "Hong Naak" flower, blooming vibrantly. These flowers bloom in the morning, welcoming the sunlight and endless mist. The Soidao meadows in Phu Soidao National Park are renowned for their stunning display of Hong Naak flowers. The open pine forest on the mountain, at an altitude of 1600 meters above sea level, creates breathtaking scenery. The charm of the misty rain flowing through the field of pale purple flowers is a romantic spectacle.

The rainy season has arrived, and the beautiful Hongonnak flowers are in full bloom, making this an ideal time to visit Phu Soi Dao National Park. While I won't delve into the details of getting there, as ample information is readily available, I would like to share my perspective as a photographer who has captured the breathtaking beauty of this landscape. I invite you to experience the paradise of the Hongonnak fields for yourself.

Reaching the Lan Son Phu Soi Dao meadow requires a 6 km hike up a mountain, traversing steep slopes and slippery paths made treacherous by the ever-present threat of rain. However, the breathtaking views along the way are enough to make you forget your fatigue. Once you conquer the treacherous slopes, you will ascend to a heavenly paradise.

After setting up the tent, it was already late afternoon, or even early evening for some. It was a tiring first day. After cooking, my wife and I sat and listened to the intermittent sound of rain falling. Exhausted, we lay down to rest, the warm drinks helping to dispel the chill from the rain and mist.

Before the morning face wash was finished, the eyes had already scanned the vast field. The mist was flowing faintly, the morning light was shining. Without delay, the camera was grabbed to capture the beautiful scenery.

In the morning, tourists began to come out to enjoy the beauty and take pictures happily. The fresh morning air with light fog and occasional heavy fog provided a refreshing breath of fresh air.

In the afternoon, we walked down a steep path to sit and play in the waterfall to cool off. But after a while, it started to drizzle, making the path slippery. So we quickly walked up from the waterfall. The charm of the lush green moss clinging to the rocks and the small stream created a beautiful scenery.

After enjoying the view, we returned to our tent to relax and cook dinner for two. We enjoyed a small amount of alcohol to ease the fatigue from the mist and cool mountain air. That night, we were lucky enough to have clear skies, which revealed a magnificent gift before our departure: the Milky Way shining brightly above Doi Soy Dao. This was a photograph I had long dreamed of capturing, as clear skies during the rainy season are quite rare. It was truly a beautiful gift from Doi Soy Dao. We slept soundly that night, filled with contentment.

On the second morning, it was time to descend from Phu Soi Dao. The rain poured down as it had the previous day. The Naak flowers had not yet bloomed, so we had to leave La Ma early. There are still many beautiful places to explore. Perhaps we will meet again this year, Phu Soi Dao.
