This trip was a free train journey, both ways. I boarded the train at Khlong Tan Station and my destination was Chachoengsao Station.

• Tricycle fare from Chachoengsao Station to Wat Luang Pho Sothon = 60 Baht / 4 people, 15 Baht per person
• Tricycle fare from Wat Luang Pho Sothon to Wat Saman = 200 Baht / 4 people, 50 Baht per person

The atmosphere on the free train will be a bit lively.

The Allure of Thai Train Travel

The morning hours are typically less crowded, making for a more relaxed experience.

It takes about 1 hour to reach Chachoengsao station.

This trip, four of us took a three-wheeled taxi to Wat Luang Pho Sothon for 60 baht, which was 15 baht per person.

A short walk will take you to Wat Luang Pho Sothon. Alternatively, if you are alone, you can take a songthaew for around 8 baht.

The temple is relatively empty today because it is not a holiday. On holidays, it is much more crowded.

Across from the temple is a market with a wide variety of goods, so you don't have to worry about going hungry.

Walk out of the temple and walk along the back of the temple. There will be a place to release fish by the Bang Pakong River.

After finishing, we continued our journey to Wat Saman Rattanaram Temple by taking a three-wheeled taxi from the front of the temple for 200 baht for 4 people, which is 50 baht per person. The driver waited for about 2 hours and then took us to the train station.
