If he doesn't like you, come to us. We'll take you out to be embraced by the fog. We don't need him. Haha!
Today, I will take everyone to experience the purity of ozone, one of the seven wonders of the world.
Wang Nam Khieo is a district in Nakhon Ratchasima province, renowned for its high ozone levels, ranking among the top 7 in the world. This has earned it the nickname "Switzerland of the Northeast." Initially skeptical, I had the opportunity to experience it firsthand and was pleasantly surprised. If anyone asks about places with good air quality in Thailand, I would definitely recommend Wang Nam Khieo.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This thread has a lot of pictures, but I still want you to see them because the nature is so beautiful that it makes you want to beg for life (okay, maybe I'm exaggerating a bit).
Embark on a journey to Wang Nam Khiao, where nature's artistry unfolds in its purest form. Witness the ethereal spectacle of a morning mist, blanketing the landscape in a veil of serenity.
Sunlight in the mist
A waterfall in the middle of a valley. No one would believe it if I told them, so let me take you on a tour through my post.
..............................................................................................
My journey began in Nong Khai, where I boarded a bus to Bangkok. Yes, you read that correctly. I traveled to Bangkok to meet up with four friends and colleagues. I should mention that this was a trip with strangers, as none of us had ever met before. However, we shared a common passion for travel, which we believed would bring us together. As I arrived in Bangkok at 5:00 AM, I realized that I was the only one from the Northeast. I had traveled to the Northeast for a trip, but I ended up returning to Bangkok. Where were my friends? I decided to spend the night at a friend's place while I waited for them.

August 15, 1960
We met at 9:00 AM at Ladprao Soi 19. I was very excited because it was a new and exciting trip. I had talked to some of the older students on LINE before the trip. That day, I was stressed for a long time about what to say when I first met them. But when I finally met them, haha, I didn't say any of the words I had prepared. Everyone talked to each other as if they had known each other for a long time. Everyone was so nice.
As we sat and talked, getting to know each other, we took breaks to rest, drink coffee, use the restroom, sleep, wake up, and eat. We also took some photos. You can imagine what it's like for five people who have just met to be in a car together. It wasn't exactly lively, but it was great that they made an effort to talk to each other until everyone became acquainted. If you ask me if it was strange, I would say it was more of a new experience. The five members were: 1. Hack, quiet and friendly; 2. Bear, fair-skinned and playful; 3. Joe, good-natured and humorous; 4. Mix, quiet but I don't think he's really quiet, maybe even more mischievous than me; and 5. Me, well-behaved and reserved.
We took a group photo as a memento before embarking on our long journey to Wang Nam Khiao.
Photographed by Hack.
This trip, we stayed at Villa Khaopangma. It didn't take long to get to our accommodation, arriving around 2 pm after making stops for sightseeing, bathroom breaks, and lunch.
.....................................................................................
Upon arriving at the accommodation, I couldn't help but exclaim "Wow!" Is this really a place to stay? I thought it was a tourist attraction. Let me tell you, I'm not exaggerating. The Balinese-style accommodation is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The entire resort is adorned with fresh flowers, and I couldn't resist taking numerous photos. Before showing you the room, I want to present a corner of the resort that I can't help but photograph every time I pass by. It's a corner that is both lonely and cheerful at the same time.
Before putting the things away, we immediately started exploring. The resort is surrounded by mountains, with a cornfield in front. I must say, it's a place I would love to own. If only money were no object, I would buy it in a heartbeat. But alas, I can only admire it from afar.
I'm sorry, but I can't translate that sentence. It's just a single character, and it doesn't have any meaning on its own. I need more context to be able to translate it accurately.
The first day was easygoing as everyone was tired from the journey. We decided to hang out at the resort to save our energy for bullfighting later in the evening. Let's go! Where is the swimming pool? Excuse me, country boy coming through to jump in the water.
The resort's swimming pool offers inflatable duck and horse rings for guests to use. However, my attempt to use them resulted in a rather messy outcome.
After playing in the water until we were full and satisfied, it was time to create a feast, which meant eating dinner. Haha, I was so hungry! I couldn't wait to dig in. However, my stomach is small, so I could only eat as much as I could. As for the others, well, let's just say they didn't hold back. The food here is a buffet, so there was plenty to go around.
Health-conscious individuals can enjoy a refreshing and sweet glass of kale smoothie.
After that, we returned to our rooms to prepare for the bullfighting. I was very excited because it was my first time. However, if you have the opportunity to go, please follow the rules when taking pictures. This means no flash photography.
An official vehicle arrived shortly to pick us up. The fare, which includes the tour fee, is 1200 baht per vehicle, regardless of the number of passengers.
We then headed to Khao Phaeng Ma to see the banteng. We rode in a car, imagining how cute they would be. Would they be as cuddly as a rabbit? Could we pet their heads like our pet dogs? Suddenly, the car hit a pothole, and I jolted awake. It was just a dream. A moment later, we saw the first banteng. Come quickly, my friend!
We continued our journey by car, but unfortunately, luck was not on our side today. The bulls remained far from the shore, and combined with my mediocre photography skills, the resulting photos were less than ideal. Those small, yellow-eyed, black figures in the distance? Those are the bulls.
Today, luck was not on my side again. The park was closed to the public, so I had to turn around and go back. But on the way back, the banteng came out to say hello. This time it was a large herd, but as usual, the only picture I got was of my friend's camera. Haha, I'll borrow it for a bit. This picture shows the herd well, so at least I'm satisfied. I'm glad I got to see them.
We had planned to save our energy for tomorrow, but it didn't turn out that way. We ended up chatting and exchanging knowledge until our mouths were tired. However, the reward of the night was that we all got some cool photos from the amazing photographer, P' Bear. With P' Bear's permission, I will include some of the photos here.
After a long day, everyone went to bed early, as they had an early morning appointment to watch the sunrise at Rai Khao Pho.

Today's program
- Admire the morning mist
- Salad cover
- Enjoy the view of Pha Salat Dai
- Sample the dishes of a famous restaurant
- Waterfall tour
- Watch the sunset (if time permits)
We agreed to meet at 6:00 AM. As expected, he was very punctual. I didn't leave until after 7:00 AM, so I had to run.
The drowsiness vanished instantly upon witnessing the breathtaking view. It was worth the early wake-up call. Capture the moment with a photograph.
The image speaks for itself.
The view is already beautiful, so don't hesitate to stand in front of it with confidence (as Joe said, it's less painful to play yourself). So, let's go!
One is not enough for another. Then take a walk to feel the air and absorb vitamin D into your body. This is an ozone source. The atmosphere is really good.
Let's continue taking photos. Once we have enough, we can move on to the next location. We've already spent a lot of time at this one spot. I'm starting to worry about our itinerary. Will we be able to see everything we planned?
Before returning to shower and eat, let's take a group photo. Jump! Jump! We have a good photographer, so we're satisfied with the photos after just one look. Haha!
Refueling with a light breakfast of rice porridge, hot coffee, and a refreshing glass of orange juice to power through the day. Feeling surprisingly health-conscious on this trip!
The second activity began at Villa Khaopang Ma, where there was a demonstration plot for growing salad vegetables. Visitors were able to sample the vegetables fresh from the garden, and if they wanted to take some home, they could purchase them as well.
Savoring fresh salad greens straight from the garden.
Served with chilled coconut water, I think I should really switch to a healthy lifestyle, haha.
After that, we all went our separate ways to shower and prepare for our next adventure at another beautiful viewpoint in Wang Nam Khieo: Pha Salat Dai. Let's go, Brother Suchart! Let's go!
...................................................................
The Pha Salad Dai viewpoint offers two vantage points. The first is a wide-open space with a beautiful view.
This is Switzerland in the Northeast, the atmosphere feels like the North, but I've never been to the North, I've only seen pictures from other people haha.
The photos show that we are always together. Since we are the same age, I feel more comfortable talking to him than to my older siblings. I don't know if he considers us close friends, but I think we are. We have so many photos together that neither of us has any photos of ourselves. We're always asking each other to take pictures of us.
We then descended to the second viewpoint.
In my personal opinion, this spot is more scenic than the first one. I struck a few poses here.
Stand up.
Jumping around, haha, it's normal. Take pictures from every angle, it's not often that I come here.
The movie features a slingshot.
From above, we can look down and see the view clearly.
Gazing at the sky, trees, and mountains, I find myself drawn to a melancholic perspective. Perhaps it reflects my own inner loneliness. If he doesn't reach out, I'll have to make the first move. Just kidding! Whether I'm lonely or not, the image speaks for itself.
This is the appearance of the Saladaeng tree.
Hunger pangs set in, signaling the start of our culinary adventure. Let's embark on a quest for delectable delights!
............................................................
Today, we entrusted our stomachs to Khun Toi, a culinary legend for over 25 years. The flavors were so exquisite that they made us forget all our weariness.
This restaurant offers more than just delicious food. It also boasts a charming café and a stylish cake shop, ensuring a delightful experience for every palate. Whether you prefer savory or sweet treats, there's something for everyone. As the old saying goes, "Variety is the spice of life," so indulge in both sweet and savory delights to tantalize your taste buds.
................................
The cafe is decorated in a modern style with a predominantly yellow color scheme. It is the daughter's cafe of the owner of "Khun Toi" restaurant.
The appearance of each menu that we tasted was so delicious that we almost forgot to continue our trip.
.........
If you're passing by, don't forget to stop by this restaurant. It offers a complete range of savory and sweet dishes with flavors that are easy on the palate and prices that are easy on the wallet. I guarantee it.
Another charming aspect of the restaurant that deserves mention is the restroom. Unlike conventional restrooms, it does not have separate male and female sections. Instead, it features a unique design that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
Let's go! We're heading to the waterfall, which is about 7 kilometers away. The entrance is near the 79th market, where you'll find the entrance to Wat Suan Hom. Drive for a while and you'll come across the park, which isn't too far away. On the day we went, we were the only group in the forest. Once we arrived, we didn't waste any time and started exploring.
The first waterfall we will visit is Man Fa Waterfall, which is about 500 meters from the car park. Before reaching the waterfall, there was a lot of water, as expected. However, as always, bad luck struck every time we went on a trip. The waterfall was not cooperating. Haha, but it was still okay.
When visiting a waterfall, one of my favorite things to do is to look up at the waterfall from below. This provides a different perspective that is equally beautiful.
Waterfalls and rocks are inseparable. It's impossible not to be captivated by their beauty. Here's another stunning example.
Before moving on to another waterfall, let's end with a cool, blurry photo. If I have the chance, I will come back again. I will come back to see the grandeur.
Next, we headed to Huai Yai Waterfall. We walked back to the parking lot. Luckily, this waterfall still had some water for us to enjoy. Let's go!
With a fixed lens, it's a real struggle. How far do I have to back up to get the shot? 😂
I want a picture of myself. Who else can I turn to? I immediately turned to the unlucky guys, Mick and Hack. Haha, take a picture of me, please!
Satisfied with the photos, we prepared to head back. However, it was almost 6 pm, and our planned sunset hike was no longer feasible. We decided to postpone it and enjoy the sunrise the next day. Before leaving, we took a group photo.
We then traveled back, showered, and got dressed. Tonight will be our last night here. Hmm, happiness always passes quickly. Let's make the most of it today.
Today's menu features a barbecue feast.
Amidst a delightful meal, an unexpected surprise unfolded. My friends, in a gesture of extraordinary camaraderie, presented me with an early birthday celebration. Words fail to express the depth of my gratitude for this invaluable gift of friendship. I will forever cherish this memory as a testament to the profound bonds we share.
We then moved to a small party at the pavilion in front of the accommodation. During that time, P'Joe started the topic of taking photos with fire. Who else would teach us if not P'Hmi? Go for it, P'!
............................................
Exhausted from playing, the ice in our glasses melted away. It's time to part ways and rest, for the morning mist awaits us.
Our pre-sleep agreement is: If it doesn't rain, we'll meet at 6 am.
August 18, 1960
06.00 The sound of my alarm clock went off. Of course, as a lazy person, I would love to wake up early. In my heart, I prayed for rain, but it was in vain. Wake up, bear, wake up.
................................................
We were picked up by our friend to watch the sunset at Pha Keeb, but instead of watching the sunset, we ended up watching the fog. Confused? Don't worry, it's okay. Let's move on before the sunset, I mean, before the fog disappears.
As I arrived, I let out a sigh, slightly disappointed that I was late. It seemed the fog had cleared. Who could I blame? Only myself for waking up late. Oh well, I thought, I'll just take photos and not complain. You're the one who's late, so who are you blaming? Oh, I'm blaming myself.
The mist hangs in the thin air, yet the beauty of nature remains.
At that moment, I lost interest in everything and started wandering aimlessly, taking random photos.
Am I lonely? Why are the photos I edit so lonely?
Out of the blue, the unexpected happened. Was this trip just pure luck? The fog was amazing, coming from who knows where. It was so thick, like a million chickens. Without hesitation, we went to play in the fog with Mr. Suchart.
Make way, everyone! Did the fog say that? No, it was me.
I don't know how beautiful it was, but I accidentally took 300 photos.
She and he, and the two of us, Joe and Mix did not say.
Initially, I thought it was full, but it was right at the cliff view. But when did it blow up here? Run and play, what are you waiting for? It's like someone who has never met before.
The thickness is unknown, but it is certain that we cannot see each other.
As I walked back, I happened to see this angle. Oh, so lonely. No need to collect the sun, collect the fog today. It's worth it.
Let the fog embrace us.
This photo was taken by my brother, Hack. Hmm, it's so beautiful.
The sun has begun to rise, chasing away the fog. I don't know if I should leave, but I guess I should. I've already taken a lot of pictures.
After enjoying the mist, we walked back to the parking lot. However, P'Hack just mentioned that there is a tower to climb. Do we still have time?
Another activity that can be done on Pha Geb Ta Wan is camping. In the morning, you won't have to worry about being lonely, as there are many people running and exercising.
We then traveled back to shower, change clothes, eat, and prepare to return. Hmm, I don't like this feeling. Oh no, my happiness is about to end. Who can I whine to? I can't whine. I have no more vacation days left. Okay, I'll go back.
.........................................
Before we head back, we need to fuel up. Let's eat! Chef Joe and Chef Hack are cooking today, while Big Bear is taking photos. Mix and I, being the youngest, are sacrificing ourselves to wait and try the food. Haha! The menu is complete: Bonchon chicken. Oh, just the smell makes my mouth water. Let's dig in!
The fun is over. The Teletubbies' voices are here. Oh, I don't want to go back, but what can I do? It's like the headmaster is expelling me. Okay, I'll go back.
...........................................................
We took Brother Hack's car to Bangkok. I'm still sitting here, haha. Then I had to part ways with my friends at Don Mueang Airport. The trip was over. Everyone in the trip returned to the real world, went to work, and pursued their dreams. What dreams? Oh well, dreams are dreams. As for me, I went back to work and lived my normal life. Of course, when I returned, the environment was the same. Nothing had changed or looked different.
But what has changed is my thinking. I feel like my world has expanded. Every time I travel, I feel like I'm getting some kind of energy.
It's like my perspective and attitude have changed from before. For me, stepping out to new places is like giving myself a gift. Some people might think it's pointless and wasteful, but I think that once you're born, you should make the most of your 20,000 days on Earth. Do what makes you happy and doesn't hurt others.
That's all for this trip review.
Thank you so much if you read every line of mine.
Thank you to my four fellow travelers.
Thank you for the friendship that made this trip with strangers feel like a journey with friends and family.
Thank you for the feedback for someone who is trying to review for the first time.
Thank you for looking at all my pictures. See you again, fellow traveler.
