Phu Kradueng National Park, located in Loei Province, is characterized by its sandstone plateau with a flat summit covering 60 square kilometers. The park is renowned for its rich biodiversity and diverse natural features, including cliffs, waterfalls, streams, grasslands, forests, and wildlife. After welcoming visitors for a period, the park is now closed for natural restoration. We bid farewell to Phu Kradueng, wishing for its rejuvenation.

This region's rich biodiversity fosters a diverse range of forests, including deciduous, rain, dry dipterocarp, mixed deciduous, and pine forests, offering ample opportunities for exploration. However, traversing the dense wilderness requires multiple arduous hikes. The climate is somewhat unpredictable, with hot, rainy, and cold seasons, but generally pleasant and cool.

We finally made it through the arduous journey, even though it was raining heavily. We dragged our weary bodies to the sign that declared "Once in a lifetime, we are the conquerors of Phu Kradueng." We collapsed on the ground, exhausted but strangely not tired. We were just sleepy, really! (said in a high-pitched voice)

The open tent site is very spacious, with almost no people. This place is all ours! 555

Did you know that if you come to Phu Kradueng and don't eat "moo kata" (Thai barbecue), it's like you haven't really been here? Haha. After the two children walked up to the Siwilai campsite, they met up with their older siblings who were already there. They welcomed them with a feast of food. It was truly comfortable. Tonight, they will sleep soundly with Nong Kwang Noi and Mr. Hoi Sang.

After breakfast at our accommodation, we enjoyed a colorful fried egg and hot rice porridge, a perfect combination. We ate and ate, fueling up before our nature exploration around Phu Kradueng. Let's go!

The place is truly deserted, devoid of people. Only strange creatures can be heard, making buzzing sounds.

Tham Yai Waterfall

Tharn Sawan Waterfall (the water was dry, so I didn't go down to take pictures), but the area is lush and green.

The atmosphere of Phu Kradueng before the forest closes is lush, quiet, peaceful, and with few people. Sweet dreams. <3
