Longing for a break from research, I dreamt of escaping to a place where I could simply lie down and gaze at the stars, watch the mist roll in, and let my mind wander freely. Before I knew it, I had booked a stay in Chiang Dao.

This trip, we traveled by public bus 🚌. When we got off at the Arcade Bus Terminal, we took a red car to the Chang Phuak Bus Terminal. The uncle charged 40฿, but if you don't want to take a red car, there is a Chiang Mai bus in front of the Arcade. Take the B3 line. The bus fare is only 15฿, but there is only one bus per hour.

Then take the orange bus from Chiang Mai to Tha Ton and get off at Lotus Chiang Dao for 40฿. When you get off the bus, call Uncle Nan 📞081-0294622. He said he would send someone to pick you up. The person who will pick you up is Aunt Boon 📞098-7837217.

While waiting, we went to eat pork leg rice at Pornphen Royal Pork Leg Restaurant, which was not very expensive at 37฿.

Aun Boon will take us to our accommodation. She charges 60฿. However, when we arrived at Lotus Chiang Dao, she had just come down. She said she needed to wait a while, so she took us to Jeeng Dara to take some photos while we waited. She will come back to pick us up later.

An iced butterfly pea flower drink, priced at 40฿.

After taking photos, eating, and relaxing, I was still waiting for my aunt to pick me up. I was worried that she might have forgotten about me, but I decided to wait a little longer. Finally, she arrived, and I was so relieved that I wasn't left behind.

Upon arriving at Lee Su Homestay, our accommodation for the night, we were greeted by a cozy tent setup. The cost was 500฿ per person per night, which included breakfast and dinner. We had made arrangements with the hosts beforehand via phone at 📞091-7247536.

After packing our bags, we went for a walk and took photos in the village.

Around dusk, the staff brought dinner, which consisted of stir-fried cabbage, tofu and minced pork soup, fried eggs, and chili paste (the chili paste here is truly delicious, living up to its reputation).

The night continues with stargazing, how relaxing can it be?

I slept soundly last night. The night air was pleasantly cool, not cold.

Waking up at five in the morning to watch the mist and breathe in the fresh air. It's almost time to go home.

Breakfast was served around seven in the morning, consisting of minced pork rice porridge.

After finishing our meal, we packed our bags. We had an appointment with Aunt Boon at eight in the morning. On the way back, she dropped us off at the Chiang Dao transportation station. We then took the orange bus back to Chiang Mai city.

And then it's time to say goodbye. See you later, if I have the chance, I'll come visit again.
