Who enjoys visiting Kanchanaburi?

As a frequent visitor to Sangkhla Buri, Pilok, Thong Pha Phum, Sai Yok, and Mueang, I have explored all of these areas except for the Sri Nakarin Dam.

After searching for accommodation, I found a newly opened resort called "Z9 Resort".

The first time I saw the pictures on the resort's website, I was captivated by the modern design of the floating villas on the Srinakarin Dam. It was so beautiful that I decided to call and book a room. However, it took a month from the day I called to finally secure a reservation.

Z9 resort is located at the Srinakarin Dam in Si Sawat District, Kanchanaburi Province. It takes about three hours to get to the resort from Bangkok, but only an hour and a half from Kanchanaburi city.

Following Google Maps, we arrived at Z9 Resort just in time for check-in (2:00 PM). As we stepped out of the car, a cool breeze greeted us, and the air was refreshingly pleasant.

While waiting to check in, there is a welcome drink, if I remember correctly, it is lemongrass and pandan leaves water, served with a cold towel.

The key has been obtained. Let's go to the room.

Two Room Types Available

There are two types of rooms available:

  • Escape North: These are large, detached houses measuring 50 square meters. They offer greater privacy as each house is separate and has more amenities.
  • South the Scene: These rooms are 25 square meters, essentially half the size of the Escape North houses. They offer less privacy as there are two rooms per platform.

The South the Scene Room: A Perfect Choice for Three

We opted for the South the Scene room, as our group of three included my older sister. The two-room configuration provided ample sleeping space and enhanced comfort. Additionally, booking adjoining rooms ensured privacy comparable to a larger suite.

Upon entering the room, you will be greeted by a bed that offers stunning views of the water and mountains.

Small bathroom

The sink will be located outside the bathroom.

Let's go see the view from the balcony.

The water, embraced by the mountains, is a truly awe-inspiring sight.

Swimming is allowed, but it is recommended to wear a life jacket for safety.

The spacious balcony offers ample space for relaxation and leisure activities, providing a comfortable environment for both sitting and lying down.

Let's take a look at the atmosphere outside the room.

This is the Escape North room.

Many people say that this place is like the Maldives. We are not sure ourselves, as we have never been to the Maldives.

The room of the large house.

In addition to enjoying the beautiful scenery, the resort also offers kayaks for guests to paddle.

The atmosphere is serene and tranquil. As dusk settles, the silhouette of the mountains becomes more distinct, revealing their layered peaks.

For dinner, we entrusted our appetites to the resort's restaurant.

The restaurant also offers stunning views from above.

A refreshing glass of cold soda.

We ordered a total of four dishes, and the taste was excellent.

The sun dips below the horizon, signaling the end of another day.

The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of options, including Chinese, Thai, and Western cuisine.

After checking out of our accommodation in the morning, we embarked on our journey back to Bangkok.

On our way, we stopped by the Sri Nakarin Dam ridge.

Both Erawan Waterfall and the resort are within easy reach. We only managed to reach the fourth tier of the waterfall before we were too tired and hot to continue.

Bidding farewell to Sri Sawat district for real this time.

This trip was a chance to recharge our batteries with the peaceful atmosphere of Z9 Resort and the stunning views of the Srinakarin Dam. We truly felt relaxed and rejuvenated. It was a truly memorable trip, and we would definitely return if we had the chance.
