Pattaya is a frequent destination for us due to its proximity to Bangkok and abundance of excellent restaurants.
This sentence translates to: "This time, our main purpose is to visit the Chinese market in Chakang."
We arrived in Pattaya around noon and stopped for lunch at The Simple Bistro & Serve.
The shop is located next to Cartoon Network Amazone Water Park in Pattaya.

Before continuing our journey, let's check in at Marine Beach Hotel, our accommodation for tonight.
The hotel is located directly on Jomtien Beach, with Jomtien Beach Road running in front of it.
Welcome drink
The Marine Beach Hotel is a small hotel with 35 rooms, decorated in a contemporary Thai-Chinese style.
We have booked a Superior Room (Double bed).
Upon entering the room, I was greeted by a delightful aroma that permeated the hallway.
The wet and dry areas of the bathroom are separated by a glass partition.
Bath amenities are provided.
Beach mats, umbrellas, and towels are provided for swimming or playing in the water.
The bed is thick, not too soft or too hard, and comfortable to sleep on.
Another aspect I appreciate is the design and layout of the 30 sqm room. It manages to incorporate everything I need, including an armchair for relaxation and a work desk, without feeling cramped or suffocating.
Take a walk around the hotel.
The swimming pool is a salt system. It is available from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
Let's go to the beach.
Just cross the street in front and you will reach Jomtien Beach.
Around 4:00 PM, we went for a walk at the Chakaeng Chinese Market, which was about a 25-minute drive from our accommodation.
This market will only be open on Saturdays, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
To reach the destination, drive from South Pattaya towards Sattahip. After passing the Ambassador Hotel, continue for another 2 kilometers until you reach a traffic light intersection. Turn left 100 meters after the intersection and drive straight for approximately 7 kilometers (a 7-Eleven and Lotus Express are located at the entrance of the alley). Continue until you see the sign for Huai Yai Subdistrict Municipality.

Parking is available at Nong Chakaeng Municipal School 1.
It is acknowledged that this place was once known as "Sak Ngeaw" (with a silent "S") due to unfamiliarity with the term "Chak Ngeaw," which sounded strange. Upon researching the history of the place, it was discovered that "Chak Ngeaw" is actually a corruption of the Chinese pronunciation "Chang Ngiew" or "Cha Ngeaw."
For over a century, Teochew Chinese have sailed to establish roots, forming the largest Chinese community.
This area retains the charm and culture of the ancient Chinese community. Although there are some modern buildings mixed in, the old wooden houses lining the streets still evoke the atmosphere of the past.
When it comes to food, you won't go hungry at the Chakaeng Chinese Market. The entire market is filled with food, snacks, and treats.
Halfway along the path, you will find the shrine of the goddess Tubtim.
There is delicious ice cream next to it.
Those who are tired can use the tow truck service. It's a different experience.
As you ascend, you will encounter the Baan Long Cha Kaew, a charming establishment that evokes the ambiance of a bygone era, seamlessly blending the allure of a traditional coffeehouse with the rustic charm of an ancient inn.

Finally, let's try the delicious "guay jub" (Vietnamese rice noodle soup).
I'll just have one bowl, as I need to save room for dinner later.
The taste wasn't quite to our liking.
Next, we will head to Sea Blue Restaurant to enjoy a delicious meal while watching the sunset.
Located in Na Jomtien 14, the shop recently opened.
To choose to sit inside with cool air conditioning
Alternatively, you can sit outside to enjoy the breeze. The view of the sunset is clearer from there.
After ordering food, we went for a walk on the beach to wait.
Crossing the bridge leads directly to the beach, where tables are available for seating.
The atmosphere is excellent.
The food is ready to be served. We will start with our signature coconut shake.
This salmon laab is delicious.
Deep-fried prawns in tamarind sauce
The squid in the "Seabull Spicy Ink" dish has a sauce that tastes similar to a Thai seafood salad known as "pla."
