Pattaya: A City Bursting with Cafés

Pattaya, a bustling city renowned for its vibrant nightlife and stunning beaches, also boasts a thriving café scene. With a plethora of options to choose from, it's no surprise that many residents and visitors alike have their own favorite spots.

We have our own favorite cafes, four cafes that we have visited more than once.

More than just a beautifully decorated and charming café, it also boasts delicious drinks and food that will satisfy your taste buds.

Let's take a look at the available stores.

Eat Silly Cafe & Bistro, a loft-style cafe. Whenever we go to Sattahip, we like to stop by this shop.

With its loft style, the restaurant offers a spacious and comfortable seating area. During the day, you can escape the heat and relax inside, while in the evening, you can choose the outdoor area to enjoy the cool breeze.

While the restaurant may not be very large, it certainly offers a wide variety of food, drinks, and desserts. From Western and Thai cuisine to fusion dishes, there's something for everyone.

  • Bang Bang Chicken is a favorite dish. Fettucini noodles are topped with a creamy sriracha sauce and served with crispy fried chicken. The combination is excellent. I love the pasta at this restaurant because they make their own fresh pasta every day.
  • Ham and cheese spring rolls are a must-order every time I visit. I must also mention that the fried chicken wings are equally delicious.
  • Pineapple fried rice has a well-balanced flavor. Most of the Thai dishes at Eat Silly are single-serving plates. I also enjoyed the salmon fu rice bowl, which comes with a generous portion of salmon fu on top of the rice.
  • The Iced Lemon Tea is not too sweet and has a perfect level of tartness. The Orange Espresso is good, with a strong coffee flavor.

Besides savory dishes, cakes, ice cream, and waffles are also delicious. I didn't take pictures of the desserts because I ate so much rice this time that I didn't have any room left for dessert.

Location and Hours

The restaurant is situated at the entrance of Soi Na Jomtien 40, directly on the main road. It is located opposite the entrance to Khao Chi Chan.

Opening Hours: Daily from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

Those who crave crispy pork belly with crackling skin and tender meat should not miss Fat Belly. This small restaurant boasts charming blue decor reminiscent of the sea. Personally, I prefer to sit in the booth area.

  • Duck breast salad is not only visually appealing but also delicious. The tender duck breast is served with fruits and raspberry sauce, creating a refreshing experience.
  • Grilled sausages are accompanied by smooth and creamy mashed potatoes.
  • Don't miss the "Fat Belly" crispy roasted pork, a signature dish featuring crispy pork belly drizzled with black pepper sauce.
  • The squid ink carbonara is a highly recommended pasta dish. It's a non-greasy and flavorful carbonara that won't disappoint.
  • The Caramel Macchiato exceeded expectations, offering a well-balanced and delicious flavor.
  • The cake selection is limited, but the coffee cake is a good choice with its soft texture and fragrant coffee cream.

In addition to the delicious taste, the restaurant also prioritizes health. All dishes are free of MSG.

Location : The shop is located in Soi Na Kluea 16, in front of The Radiance Hotel.
Open-Close : Closed every Monday, 8:00 AM - 12:00 AM.

"We Loaf You" is the adorable slogan of Loaf Bakery & Cafe.

This is another restaurant in Pattaya that I love to visit. I am in love with both the food and the desserts here.

Spacious loft-style restaurant, perfect for individuals or groups.

  • Caesar Salad with Poached Egg: This salad features a delightful combination of cheese, vegetables, and crispy bacon. The poached egg adds a rich and creamy texture, enhancing the overall flavor of the dish.
  • Pizza: The restaurant's signature pizza, developed over nine years, is a must-try. The seafood pizza pictured is delicious, but I personally prefer the Hawaiian pizza. The basil chicken pizza with a fried egg is an interesting option, but it can become a bit greasy after a few slices. The thin and crispy crust is a highlight of the pizza.
  • Wing of Loaf: These oven-baked chicken wings with a special sauce are a standout dish. The flavorful sauce perfectly complements the tender and juicy chicken.
  • Spaghetti with Squid and Salted Egg: This is my absolute favorite dish. The rich and creamy salted egg sauce perfectly coats the perfectly cooked spaghetti. The squid pieces are tender and flavorful, making for a truly satisfying meal.
  • Strawberry Shortcake, Taro Cake: The light and fluffy texture of the cakes is delightful. The crepe cake is also excellent. The cookies, chicken feet, and sliced bread are all must-buys for takeaway.

Loaf restaurant is a true one-stop shop for all your culinary needs. After enjoying a savory meal, there's no need to search for a dessert destination, as the establishment offers an equally extensive selection of sweet treats.

Location: Central Pattaya, the restaurant is located in the Welcome Town project, which is adjacent to Power Buy.
Open-Close: Daily 09:00-22:00.

Pro่ง Dee Sleeve Cafe: A Stylish Vintage-Inspired Gem in Ang Mab Prachan

Pro่ง Dee Sleeve Cafe is a trendy spot with a touch of vintage charm, located in the Ang Mab Prachan area.

This location offers more than just delicious food; it also provides accommodations. If you're cycling at Ang Mab Chan, this is a fantastic alternative for a stopover.

  • **Shrimp paste rice:** Fragrantly stir-fried rice with aromatic shrimp paste, served with side dishes and not-too-sweet sweet pork. Another recommended single-dish meal is the **crispy stir-fried basil with rice**, the **ancient-style rice with panang curry and pork**, and the **rice with fried pork**.
  • **Fried chicken tendons:** Lightly coated in batter, offering a satisfying crunch.
  • **Smoothies and sodas** are standard fare, but the **coffee is recommended**. The **cakes are average**, not particularly impressive.

Why do you choose to dine at Proong Dee again?

The food is flavorful and reasonably priced compared to other cafes.

Location : The shop is located on the same road as the Khao Mai Kaew Conservation Forest Park. The shop is a commercial building.
Open-Close : Closed every Monday 08.30-22.00 hrs.

Out of these 4 cafes, which one have you been to and loved so much that you had to go back for more like us?
If you haven't been to any of them yet, give them a try. You might fall in love with them like we did.
