  1. We booked a ferry + bus package from Koh Tao to Surat Thani Railway Station through BusOnlineTicket.co.th. On the day of travel, we went to Mae Haad Pier, Koh Tao to check in at the Lomprayah counter to exchange the Lomprayah company's passenger ticket for the company's voucher that we booked online.

2. All passengers will receive a ferry ticket to board the Lomprayah high-speed catamaran. Staff will provide stickers to indicate the correct boarding point. We were informed that we will need to disembark at Koh Phangan and board a new ferry at noon.

Board the Lomprayah ferry.

3. The ferry arrived at Koh Tao later than scheduled, but we eventually boarded the vessel. Several staff members were on hand to assist passengers in loading their luggage at the front of the ferry. However, you could opt to keep your bags with you if desired.

4. We are seated in the air-conditioned interior of the Lomprayah ferry. This room offers spacious seating with ample legroom for comfort. A television is situated at the front for our viewing pleasure, while a snack bar at the rear of the cabin caters to our needs.

Stop at the pier, Koh Phangan

5. After about an hour's journey, the ferry docked at Koh Phangan, and everyone was asked to disembark. We had to wait another hour for the connecting ferry to pick us up. The Koh Phangan pier had several shelters for passengers to wait in. There were also Thai vendors selling sandwiches and cold drinks nearby.

6. Once again, the Lomprayah ferry arrived after the announcement. Everyone was eager to board the ferry as the weather on Koh Phangan was quite hot and humid.

Continue your journey to Surat Thani at Donsak Pier.

We boarded the ferry and handed our luggage to the staff of the Somprai company. The journey to Donsak Pier in Surat Thani took another 3 hours. We opted to pay an additional 100 baht per person for the comfort of traveling in the VIP room.

The VIP seats offer more spacious and comfortable seating. Additionally, few passengers opt to pay extra to upgrade to this cabin. This is an added bonus for us as we have the entire cabin to ourselves!

8. Fortunately, the Lomprayah ferry has restrooms onboard. The restrooms are relatively clean and hygienic. However, the smaller rooms may be smaller than you would prefer.

The destination has arrived, Surat Thani Province.

9. Upon disembarking the ferry at Donsak Pier in Surat Thani Province, you will be greeted by a fleet of Lomprayah buses ready to transport you to your desired destination.

10. The Lomprayah bus will depart for another location. After identifying the correct bus, we stowed our luggage in the designated storage compartment and boarded the bus to continue our journey to the final destination.

11. After a two-hour ferry ride from Donsak Pier, we arrived at Surat Thani Bus Terminal in the late afternoon with ample time to spare before boarding our train back to Bangkok.
