Khao Kho is often the first place that comes to mind when people think of tourist destinations in Phetchabun province.

Khao Kho is a popular tourist destination known for its pleasant climate, diverse attractions, and scenic accommodations.

On this trip, we brought our parents along and chose to stay at Phusandao Resort.

Before reaching our accommodation, we made several stops along the way. Let's see where we went.

We left Bangkok around 06:00 AM, taking the Saraburi-Lom Sak route and ascending Khao Kho via the route with the Neun Mahasajan (Highway 2258). It took almost 5 hours to reach the Phra Borommathat Kanchanapisek Pagoda.

The area around Khao Kho was once a battleground against communist insurgents, resulting in numerous casualties. After the conflict ended, His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej graciously bestowed a relic of the Lord Buddha for the people to pay their respects. This relic serves as a spiritual center and brings peace and prosperity to the region.

The relics are enshrined at the top of the stupa. Inside the stupa, there are many Buddha statues for us to worship.

You can make merit and light candles to worship the relics. The candles lit on the zinc plates are placed together, which is another beautiful sight.

The dim lighting within the pagoda, illuminated only by the flickering candles, created a serene and peaceful atmosphere.

After making merit until your heart is full, let's go fill your stomach. From the Phra Borommathat Chedi, drive up the road for about 4 kilometers to reach Rai Chanram.

Rai Chanram offers both accommodation and a restaurant. While I haven't stayed there, I enjoy dining at the restaurant. The food is delicious and the view is stunning.

Sitting in the outdoor zone, you will have a view of the mountains like this.

A must-try menu is the stir-fried bitter melon with egg. The bitter melon is not hard and is stir-fried to the perfect doneness. The egg is not overcooked and clings to the bitter melon. It's so delicious every time we come here, the taste is always the same.

The flowers at the shop are in full bloom and absolutely stunning.

Continuing our journey, we drove approximately 6 kilometers from Rai Chanram.

And here we are, at the Khao Kho Windmill Farm.

This is a wind power generation project. The giant wind turbine you see here is 110 meters tall and has 60-meter-long blades. It's truly enormous!

The long road in the distance? We can take a sightseeing tram to see the sights inside.

In addition to the stunning views, there is a zone selling vegetables, fruits, local products, and souvenirs in the form of miniature windmills made of wood.

As we didn't want to drive back and forth, we visited the windmill field in the afternoon. It was very sunny, so it's actually better to come in the evening.

Before checking into our accommodation, we stopped by the bamboo tunnel at BN Farm. It's about 15 kilometers from the windmill field. We drove into the farm a little and saw the bamboo trees. The bamboo is much more beautiful during the rainy season.

After a satisfying amount of exploring, we checked in to the Phusensao Daow Resort.

From BN Farm, make a U-turn and drive for 500 meters. Just before the curve, you will find a fork on the left. Turn left at the fork. There will be yellow star-shaped signs guiding you to the resort.

Nestled at an altitude of 927 meters above sea level, the resort boasts a scenic location atop Camp Son. The ascent to the resort involves some inclines and a stretch of gravel road, which may pose a challenge during the rainy season. However, fret not, as the resort offers a convenient pick-up service to alleviate any transportation concerns. Guests can leave their vehicles at the base and be comfortably transported to the resort.

After a leisurely drive, we finally arrived at the resort.

Just looking through the star, you can see the refreshing view behind it. It's worth coming up.

The area shown in the image above is designated for dining and will be referred to as the dining room.

Phu Sansara Resort offers only 8 rooms, making it an ideal choice for those seeking tranquility. We booked the Yellow room, located on the second floor and adjacent to the restaurant.

This zone has 3 rooms. Our room is in the middle. Although the balconies are all connected, there is still a sense of privacy. This may be due to the width of the balcony, which makes it feel less crowded.

The Yellow room can accommodate 3 people + 1 extra bed. We came 4 people, perfect fit. Let's take a look inside the room. Is it yellow like the name Yellow?

Highlights of your stay include:

The bean bag can be easily moved from the room to the balcony, allowing you to relax and enjoy the stunning views. During the rainy season, the mountains will be even more lush and verdant, creating an even more breathtaking panorama.

From the balcony, you can see the yurt-style houses on the right.

Let's go for a walk and see the Yemero-style houses.

The houses are arranged in a cascading manner along the hillside, boasting an adorable design. They can accommodate up to 3 guests.

We had dinner at the resort.

The table with a great view

The menu offers a limited selection of simple dishes, each of which is exceptionally delicious.

The photo shows the entrance of the resort, with wind turbines visible in the distance.

I will definitely visit Khao Kho again next year. I never get tired of visiting Khao Kho, no matter how many times I go.
