Review of "Chotika Thara Resort", a resort amidst rice fields near tourist attractions in Nakhon Nayok.
During a filmmaking workshop with the Media Arts Project Year 6 of Thai PBS Television in Nakhon Nayok, I had the opportunity to stay at this resort. I would like to share my positive experience with you.
We traveled in two tour buses, with nearly a hundred participants. Initially, we were curious about why they brought us to this location. However, our curiosity was satisfied when we discovered that the resort had a large conference room capable of accommodating over a hundred people. Additionally, there were smaller conference rooms with capacities ranging from 20 to 50 people. Notably, the resort featured guest rooms surrounding a large swimming pool stocked with fish, where guests could enjoy paddle boating.
Chotika Resort is located in Nakhon Nayok Province, a considerable distance from the city center. The resort is peaceful, but if you haven't prepared food for the night, you might have to venture out to catch frogs in the fields, as there are no shops selling anything except snacks.
The room rate includes breakfast, which is a buffet with a limited selection but sufficient. For lunch and dinner, the chicken noodles and sukiyaki are highly recommended.
The accommodation is divided into zones, with options for both single and group stays. Single rooms are available, as are group rooms that are divided into individual rooms but share a common area. These group rooms have a patio in front of them, allowing for private gatherings and parties.
Each bedroom is equipped with a queen-size bed for two people and a single bed for one person. A refrigerator (extremely cold, capable of freezing water under the freezer compartment within a short period) and a television are also provided. However, there is no wardrobe, only a clothes rack.
On the day of my stay, my room, which was located in the Nam Yod group of houses, was coincidentally moved to a private room in front of the dining room. The next day, I was given a room of a different type, but it was similar.
The bathroom is fully equipped with all necessary amenities, including hot water. However, there is no shower curtain or bathtub, only a shower head. The hot water is excellent, providing instant heat without becoming too hot for extended showers.
This resort is conveniently located on a route leading to popular tourist destinations in Nakhon Nayok, close to Sarika Waterfall. Situated on Soi Sarika 11, it is just a short distance past Phra Phikanesuan Park and Wat Luang Pho Pak Daeng. Beyond the resort lie Sarika Waterfall, Khun Dan Prakarn Chon Dam, Wang Takrai Waterfall, Nang Rong Waterfall, and the Makha Bucha Memorial Park. Therefore, tourists planning to visit these attractions often stop here due to its proximity.
During my stay here, I did not have the opportunity to explore the surrounding area due to a film-making workshop that occupied our days from morning to night. However, the serene environment, characterized by lush vegetation and tranquility, prevented any sense of boredom from creeping in over the past few days.
If the accommodation offered food and drinks such as milk, carbonated water, or other items besides snacks, I believe it would provide greater convenience for tourists, eliminating the need to travel to the Lotus supermarket, which is located kilometers away.
If you have children, bringing them to stay here would be a great idea. They would love it just as much as the adults do.
