Nestled amidst the lush landscapes of Umphang, Tak Province, lies a hidden gem known as the Heart-Shaped Waterfall, Petu Lo Su, or Pitu Gro. This enchanting cascade, with its cascading waters forming a perfect heart shape, offers a breathtaking spectacle that rivals the romantic allure of Phu Kradueng National Park in Loei Province.

The two streams from Doi Mae Moeng Sam Wan converge into one, forming a heart-shaped confluence, a unique and distinctive feature.

This trip was a 2-day, 1-night shared trip organized by the "Share Trip Travel" page. This was necessary because some of the locations were not easily accessible by public transportation. Additionally, sharing the trip expenses made it more affordable.

The journey from Bangkok to Mae Sot by van takes approximately 11 hours. From Mae Sot, it takes an additional 3-4 hours to reach the starting point of the trek to the campsite at Ban Kui Leot, located high in the mountains. Porters are available for hire at the registration point for those who require assistance.

We set off at 2:00 PM. To be honest, the trail wasn't as challenging as I had anticipated. However, the heavy rains during the monsoon season presented a significant obstacle. From the very first step, we encountered mud and water, making it impossible to avoid getting dirty and wet.

After a short walk, you will encounter the villagers' agricultural area, which is one of the most impressive sights I have ever seen. The breathtaking scenery resembles a paradise on earth, unlike anything you have ever experienced before.

After the villagers' agricultural area, the next stage will be a true wilderness hiking experience.

As you can see, the path is mostly (98%) mud.

Thank you for the GoPro footage, Noi. It was a pleasure to meet you on this trip.

After a two-hour journey, we arrived at the campsite at 4:00 PM.

This is the waterfall near our camp.

Top-down view.

A truly versatile waterfall, serving as a source for bathing, washing faces, brushing teeth, and even washing dishes. Without exaggeration, the water is crystal clear, surpassing the clarity of a mirror.

Due to our late arrival today, it is not advisable to proceed to the Pertoh Lo Su Waterfall as it may be dangerous. Therefore, the first day of our journey ends here.

The next morning, after breakfast, washing our faces, and brushing our teeth, we set off for Pertoh Lo Su Waterfall at 8:30 AM.

Through the bamboo forest.

Cross the stream

English:

The cascading waterfall flows downwards.

The entire journey was filled with such obstacles, crossing numerous streams.

The current is strong at this point, so you need to cross the wooden bridge.

We're halfway there, and it won't be long now.

Along the way, you will encounter the celebrity, "Mos" Patiparn Harer. :p

The final stream we cross will lead us to the heart-shaped waterfall we've been searching for.

The accumulated fatigue of the journey will soon vanish.
