(Note: This is a picture from a trip I took last year. I didn't have time to post it then, so I'm posting it now. I apologize for the delay.)
Let's get started. Many people may dream of a magical and happy journey, constantly reading reviews and posts, but never actually embarking on a trip. This may be due to friends not wanting to go, lack of free time, or financial constraints. These are the most common excuses for not traveling, but they are just excuses for those who don't have the heart to travel. Traveling is all about the heart, and money is secondary. You don't need a lot of money to travel, as we have learned on this trip. We didn't bring much money, but we came back with a lot of happiness. It was worth it compared to other things we could have spent our money on. This time, for example, it was pure determination that brought us to Doi Pui Luang, Huay Hee, Mae Hong Son. The last time we went to Huay Hee, we didn't reach the summit. This time, we were determined to make up for it, and we succeeded in a big way.
This trip, we opted for the Mae Chaem-Khun Yuam-Huai Hee route, which is a relatively short distance compared to the Pai route and has fewer curves, allowing for a comfortable speed of 70-80 km/h. We departed from Chiang Mai around 5:00 AM, choosing to travel on November 14-15, during the late rainy season and early winter. This timing ensures lush green foliage, as opposed to the drier conditions of the winter months. However, be prepared for occasional rain during this period.
This section of the road leading to Ban Huai Hee is quite rough and challenging, spanning 25 kilometers. It is not suitable for passenger cars and is best navigated by motorcycles or pickup trucks.
It took us 5 hours to get here, and it was worth it. This mountain is amazing.
Let's focus on the visuals, as I'm not very good at writing a lot.
