After a satisfying meal of grilled bear at the Amphawa Floating Market, it was time to meet our date. Our handsome boatman arrived promptly, ready to take us to see the fireflies at Phi Lok Canal. Oh my! The name of the canal is quite spooky.

The young boatman steered the boat to a stop beneath a lone Lamphu tree, where we watched fireflies flitting about. He explained that he had just passed through a canal known as "Ghost Haunt," which was crowded with boats, so he decided to bring us here instead. We agreed, and the tiny fireflies flew over our heads, reminding me of Gohobori and Angsumalin. However, Angsumalin was currently enjoying the fireflies above, and unfortunately, our small camera was unable to capture their beauty. We tried, but the images only appeared as white dots on a black background, so I'm too embarrassed to show them.

After admiring the fireflies to our satisfaction, we asked our young guide to take us to some interesting places we had passed on the way there, such as the suspension bridge and the waterfront of Bang Noi Floating Market. We had seen these places lit up with lights earlier, but they were not yet open, so they were not very beautiful. We wanted to go back when the lights were on.

Our young boatman wasted no time, expertly maneuvering the vessel into the canal with a swift turn. He then playfully stopped the boat in the middle of the waterway, allowing us to capture some fun photos. However, the excitement almost turned into disaster as we nearly collided on board, causing us to almost fall into the water.

The river is calm now.

I took many photos from different angles, but I'm not sure if I should show them all. Some of them might not be very good. Hehe.

After the aunts had taken enough photos, they told the driver to take them home, as they were tired.

Ban Nam Pern Resort, Bang Khan Thi

We arrived at Baan Nam Resort quite late at night. To our delight, a beautiful receptionist was still waiting for us. She kindly inquired about our day and offered us refreshing drinks. After quenching our thirst, she volunteered to escort us to our room. However, we politely declined, as we had already familiarized ourselves with the layout during our arrival earlier. Additionally, it was quite late, and we did not want to inconvenience her. So, we thanked her and made our way to the room on our own.

Although Baan Nam Resort is densely planted with trees, creating a shady and lush environment, the resort's pathways and entrance are brightly lit, eliminating any concerns about snakes or other potential hazards. This allows guests to walk around with complete peace of mind.

Clear walkway, easy to walk, non-slip.

You've reached your room. Sleep well, my dear. See you tomorrow.
