As mentioned earlier, we arrived at Baan Nam Pung Resort in the afternoon and had to leave for a tour of the Mae Klong River, so we didn't have much time to explore our accommodation. This morning, we took some extra time to enjoy our resort.

Access and Parking

Baan Nam Peun Resort is a small boutique resort with only nine rooms. Each room is nestled amidst a lush garden, creating a tranquil and refreshing atmosphere. The owner's passion for nature is evident in the preservation of the existing trees, which provide ample shade and greenery throughout the resort. Originally a family residence, the property was later transformed into a resort, but the decision was made to retain the mature trees, resulting in the limited number of available rooms.

Accommodation in a house with a water resort

Everywhere you look, you see lush greenery.

This room is ours. We booked two rooms.

The balcony is furnished with chairs for relaxing, reading, or enjoying the shade of the trees.

Let's take a look at the double bed room first.

The spacious and airy room features a glass balcony, perfect for relaxing, enjoying snacks, or reading a book.

The house offers panoramic views of the surrounding trees.

The bathroom has a glass wall on one side with a sheer curtain. Outside, there are flowering plants.

The wet area for bathing has a rain shower and a small flower garden outside.

Early Morning Rituals at the Resort

The morning at the resort offers a unique opportunity to experience a local tradition that many city dwellers rarely encounter: alms giving to Buddhist monks. Monks will arrive to collect offerings both by boat and on foot. Guests who miss the boat procession can still participate by waiting for the monks near the resort entrance, where they will continue their alms round. The resort staff will kindly assist guests by notifying them of the monks' arrival and offering prepared food sets for the ceremony.

Available in almost every color.

The fruits in the garden are ready to be picked and eaten. Most of them are star apples.

It's breakfast time! Let's see what's on the menu.

Ban Nam Resort: A Buffet with a Twist

Ban Nam Resort offers a unique buffet experience that combines the convenience of a self-service spread with the flexibility of made-to-order options.

The buffet features a selection of readily available items like bread, fruits, and fried dough (pathongko), allowing guests to grab and go. For hot meals, the resort provides a menu with a limited selection, including fried eggs, rice porridge, and a few other dishes. Guests can order these items and have them freshly prepared. Additionally, if guests are still hungry after their initial order, they can request more food.

The breakfast at Ban Nam Resort is particularly noteworthy for its deliciousness.

Central Counter

Bread and fruit

Fried egg on rice, our breakfast. Very delicious.

Shrimp congee with a fragrant broth and sweet, fresh shrimp. The rice grains are distinct and not overly mushy, yet they absorb the flavorful broth well. The congee is refreshing and easy to slurp down.

A Tempting Skillet of Eggs

This skillet of eggs is visually appealing with its vibrant colors. Children are likely to enjoy its variety, including sausages, crab sticks, Chinese sausage, and eggs. Mothers may even find themselves smiling at the three-colored vegetables cleverly incorporated to encourage their children to eat them. The desired level of egg doneness can be requested directly from the cook.

Breakfast is important.

Eat your fill, as we will be departing shortly.

Seasonal Fruits

After breakfast, we took a leisurely stroll around the resort, admiring the interesting landscape, exotic plants, and unique flowers before packing our belongings and preparing to check out.
