Whenever I travel through Nakhon Pathom, I always make a point of stopping for lunch near the Buddha statue. This area is a hub for a wide variety of cuisines, including Thai, Chinese, and Western, both well-known and obscure. Occasionally, I may forget the name of a particular dish, but the memory of its deliciousness remains.

Despite having planned what to eat today, I always end up giving in to the temptation of "fried oysters." No matter what else is on the table, there must be fried oysters to keep it company. This meal is a prime example. Feeling hungry after driving back from Ratchaburi, I stopped by a local restaurant.

Passing by the noodle shop, I thought I'd take a look in case I wanted to eat anything else. But when I passed by the oyster omelet shop, where there were many people waiting for tables, I even went to stand in line to reserve a table with them.

Mr. Phom's Oyster Omelette Restaurant, Oyster Omelette, Oysters

The renowned "Nai Phom Oyster Omelette" restaurant, specializing in oyster omelettes and cockles, is a bustling establishment filled with the clanging of spatulas, the sizzling of woks, the calls of servers, and the pronouncements of the cashier. Upon securing a table, patrons are advised to promptly order the signature oyster omelette and stir-fried noodles, dishes that epitomize the culinary prowess of this esteemed eatery.

The queue for buying and the queue for tables are both very long.

Pad Thai with soft, non-dry noodles, a flavorful sauce, very fresh shrimp, and crispy bean sprouts. Delicious!

And then our oyster omelet arrived.

The oyster omelet here has a generous amount of batter, but it's not bland or soggy. Instead, it boasts a crispy exterior and a soft interior. The accompanying oyster sauce, readily available in bottles on the table, further enhances the flavor. While enjoyable, I personally prefer the pad thai.

Two people eating together

After finishing our meal, we set out to find some dessert. There were so many sweet treats to choose from, but we already had something in mind. Every time we come here, we have to have it.

This is another stir-fried noodles and oyster omelet shop.

Queuing to buy snacks.

This shop is my favorite dessert shop, the ice cream is amazing.

This is the son's generation, the father's generation is showing off throwing ice cream next to it.

Even meatball stalls have queues.

Made-to-order food

Despite being full from the delicious food, my hands were still overflowing with souvenirs. As the evening drew to a close, it was finally time to head home. Otherwise, I might have needed a cart to help me transport all the sweets back!
