Borklua, one of the destinations on this northern motorcycle trip, with an overnight stay in Borklua, allowed us to experience the tranquility, simplicity, and unspoiled nature that Borklua still retains.



The accommodation I stayed at this time is called Baan Nong Mafeung Homestay, which has a total of 4 rooms and the accommodation fee is very cheap at only 500 baht/night. It can accommodate 2 people and also has bicycles for guests to ride and enjoy the view for free. They are also kind enough to let us do our laundry.


The morning temperature was only 20 degrees Celsius, offering a breathtaking view of the surrounding rice fields, streams, and mountains. However, salt production was not yet underway as it was just one day after the end of the Buddhist Lent period, during which the villagers traditionally refrain from such activities.


The journey was made by motorbike from Phrae province, via Highway 1081, which is one of the most beautiful roads, or the so-called Sky Road. I can tell you that it was a tiring but very worthwhile journey. Once is not enough.
