This week, I had the opportunity to visit Cha-am and took the chance to follow in my father's footsteps. During this trip, we visited two projects. Read on to learn more.

The "Weighing the Cassava" Project, initiated by His Majesty the King.

Location: Tha Yang District, Phetchaburi Province, Thailand.

Business Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Daily)

- Project Origin: The project originated when local villagers presented sweet potatoes as an offering to His Majesty at Klai Kangwon Palace. However, His Majesty had to return to Bangkok.

Upon his return to Hua Hin the following month, the King ordered the officials to bring the sweet potato to the weighing scales in his study.

Upon observing the sprouting of sweet potato vines, His Majesty the King graciously instructed the allocation of land for agricultural purposes.

- This project covers a total area of 250 rai, with all land purchased using His Majesty's personal funds.

Visitors who wish to enter the project can purchase tickets at the entrance (green fort).

Admission Fee

• Adults 20 baht

• Children 10 baht

• This is a "nature study trail" where we can walk and see trees along the hillside around the Nong Seua Reservoir.

The weather is nice, so you can come and sit down.

- Upon entering, there will be a registration point for those who wish to take a tram ride around the project. There will be a short commentary along the way.

- For those who want to ride a bicycle themselves, they can exchange their ID card for a free loan.

• Wind turbines generate electricity.

• Cattle farm

- Tum, the hero of this place, is the only male cow in the project. He's super hot!

- The King's working palace, along with the actual car he used for work.

• Before leaving, don't forget to stop by Golden Place to try the full-cream milk, which is also a product of this project. It costs 35 baht per bottle.

Queen Sirikit Mangrove Ecosystem Learning Center

Location: Pak Nam Pran Subdistrict, Pran Buri District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province

Turn into Soi Hua Hin 105. There are signs along the way (approximately 15 minutes after passing the entrance to Khao Tao).

- Thailand's first mangrove restoration learning center from abandoned shrimp farms

This forest has been revived thanks to the graciousness of His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen.

Chakhram Tower

A breathtaking view: Witnessing the entirety of the center from the observation tower

This sentence describes a breathtaking view from an observation tower that allows visitors to see the entire center. The use of the phrase "สวยขนาดไหน" suggests that the view is particularly impressive and worth seeing. The informal language and emoji at the end indicate a conversational tone.

• We went during a light drizzle and stayed until the rain stopped. The trees are now lush and green, as you can see. It's so refreshing! You can sit and relax here for a long time.

Mangrove Nature Trail

• A path lined with mangrove trees, this spot is incredibly lush and teeming with life. As you walk, you'll see mudskippers and rare birds.

Therefore, it is necessary to remain silent in order to observe these birds. We saw a beautiful blue bird, I wonder if it is a rare species? Haha.

- The rain is so refreshing.

A verdant carpet serving as nature's bulwark.

- To maintain the balance of the ecosystem and help reduce global warming.

Pavilion by the Water (Sala Tha Nam)

• This is the spot where His Majesty the King and Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn planted the large-leaved mangrove.

At the ceremony to present the permanent forestation project in honor of His Majesty the King's 50th anniversary of his reign.
