Paying 600 baht for a night of fresh air, crab, and mudskipper watching at Baan Khun Samut Chin. This trip was a spur-of-the-moment decision, a quick escape from the city's traffic and pollution. The goal was simple: to relax and breathe easy for a day. The journey from Bangkok to Baan Khun Samut Chin in Samut Prakan was worth it. For 600 baht, we got a place to sleep for the night and three meals. Not bad.

Travel from Bangkok to Pak Nam (Wiboonsiri Pier) by car, bus, or taxi. Upon arrival, take a ferry across the river to Phra Samut Chedi for 3 Thai baht. From Phra Samut Chedi, reach Pa Li Pier by either a shared taxi for 8 Thai baht or a taxi for 80 Thai baht.

Upon arriving at Bapa Li Pier, we continued our journey by boat. The journey involved a series of transfers, alternating between car and boat, for a total of four segments. It was an exhilarating experience! The boat we boarded was a long-tailed boat. We informed the captain of our destination, the Homestay for Adults, also known as Khun Samut Chin Homestay. The boat fare was 100 baht for the first person and 10 baht for subsequent passengers. The captain navigated the boat with remarkable speed and agility, much to the delight of the young passengers.

We have arrived. Walk a little further. Do you see that milestone in the distance? That's it. Keep walking.

Turn right and head to the accommodation. It is recommended to arrive before noon or at noon because the 600 baht you paid will include lunch, dinner, and breakfast. We will have lunch here because we are hungry. We were so hungry that we didn't take any pictures of the food. There are about 4 dishes, all of which are delicious. The rooms here do not have air conditioning, but there is a constant cool breeze. However, there are fans available.

Rest and enjoy the breeze, wait for the sun to cool down a bit, then we can go for a walk together.

The atmosphere here is like an old community. In the evening, the atmosphere is shady and cool, making it suitable for a relaxing stroll.

The sound of crunching shells accompanied our walk along the path. We encountered villagers diligently shucking oysters, their size impressive. We couldn't resist purchasing a bag for our evening meal, priced at a mere 100 baht. The quantity was astounding, exceeding our expectations. In fact, we were unable to finish it all.

The land is constantly being played on. Enjoy the atmosphere in the community. This is a landmark spot. Everyone who comes here has to take a picture of this corner. Haha.

Our dinner for three was so abundant that we couldn't finish it. The crab was large and full of roe, making for a truly delightful experience.

The atmosphere at night is peaceful, with each house enjoying their own privacy. If you plan to have fun, sing, or get drunk, please be mindful of your neighbors. In the bedroom, the cool breeze provides a comfortable sleep.

6:00 AM: Wake up to the sunrise. 6:45 AM: Head to the nearby shrine of Young Man Floating on the Water for alms offering.

A steaming bowl of shrimp congee for breakfast, as usual, no photo this time. After breakfast, I took a shower, got dressed, and headed back.
