Greetings, everyone. Following my previous post introducing the stunning Legendha Sukhothai Resort, accessible through this link: https://pantip.com/topic/36638855, I'm excited to share another captivating accommodation option in Sukhothai. This time, we'll explore Le Charme Sukhothai Resort, a remarkable destination that rivals its counterparts in charm and allure.

The location of Le Charme is conveniently situated near the Sukhothai Historical Park, just a short drive away. This allows guests to easily visit the ancient city at their leisure. The resort's overall atmosphere emphasizes openness, freshness, and visual comfort. The large lotus pond at the front and the swimming pool in the center of the resort contribute to this feeling.

The accommodations at Le Charme are all single-story buildings, eliminating the need to climb stairs. There are four types of rooms available:

• Superior

• Deluxe

• Premier Deluxe

• Family Suite

The Deluxe room I stayed in was spacious and comfortable, with a large bed, soft pillows, and stylish interior design. I particularly enjoyed the sitting area in front of the room and the balcony overlooking a large lotus pond, offering a serene and refreshing atmosphere. However, the manual air conditioning controls were inconvenient, often resulting in an uncomfortably warm room due to my forgetfulness.

The room amenities meet the general hotel standards, including a TV, refrigerator, hairdryer, umbrella, tea, coffee, kettle, and safe. Bathroom amenities include soap, shampoo, cotton buds, and shower caps.

The bathroom features a standard shower with a water heater. The water pressure is strong, and the shower area is spacious and comfortable. A curtain separates the wet and dry areas. There is no bathtub. The toilet area is equipped with a bidet spray.

Let's explore other room types available at this accommodation to provide you with comprehensive information for your decision-making. We'll begin with the Superior room, the most basic category and, in my opinion, the farthest from the lobby. The exterior of these rooms features a small pond with a refreshing walking path surrounding it.

The Superior room features a seating area in front of the room, perfect for socializing with friends or enjoying the beautiful view. The interior design is elegant and exudes a distinctly Thai aesthetic, more pronounced than the Deluxe room I stayed in.

The next room type is the Premier Deluxe, which is ideal for couples or those seeking privacy. These detached single rooms offer more space than the Deluxe rooms, including a larger balcony and a bathtub in the bathroom. Premier Deluxe rooms with king-size beds feature four-poster beds and mosquito nets, creating a romantic ambiance.

The final room type, the Family Suite, is ideal for families with children who want to sleep together in one room. This spacious room features two beds (one king-size and one single) and a sofa that can accommodate 5-6 people. The bathroom has two sinks and a bathtub.

We have now reviewed various room types, and many of you may have already decided which room best suits your preferences. However, for some, choosing a place to stay involves considering not only the room's appearance but also the common areas and nearby attractions. Let's explore these aspects in detail!

The communal area is a great place to start. In addition to the large lotus pond where you can relax and feed the fish, there are two other highlights: the swimming pool and the traditional Thai massage pavilion.

The resort's swimming pool is centrally located and, while not overly large, its design and decor are inviting. The Thai massage pavilion particularly impressed me with its design, color scheme, and choice of furniture, creating a relaxing atmosphere that makes you want to indulge in a massage for an hour or two.

Readers are encouraged to choose the option that best suits their preferences. For those who are not interested in either option, a small library with a selection of curated books and a cozy reading area is available in the lobby.

After exploring the accommodation options, let's move on to the attractions. Of course, a trip to Sukhothai wouldn't be complete without visiting the Sukhothai Historical Park, wouldn't it?

There are several ways to travel from Le Charme to Sukhothai Historical Park, including driving yourself, taking the hotel's van service (300 baht/trip), riding a songthaew, or walking. Once you arrive at the park entrance, you can choose how to explore the park: rent a bicycle for 30 baht/day or ride the tram for 30 baht/person (Thai price). In my opinion, if you are young, energetic, and want to take a lot of photos, I recommend renting a bicycle. It's more fun and gives you more freedom. The must-see temples in the park include Wat Mahathat, Wat Si Sawai, and Wat Sa Si.

For those who have visited Sukhothai Historical Park and still feel unsatisfied, I recommend visiting Si Satchanalai Historical Park next. However, it is important to note that this location is more suitable for those with private vehicles, as it takes approximately one hour to drive from Sukhothai. Si Satchanalai Historical Park boasts a total of 215 historical sites and artifacts (204 of which have been discovered). In 1991, this historical park was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, along with Sukhothai Historical Park and Kamphaeng Phet Historical Park.

Admission to Si Satchanalai Historical Park requires a 20 baht entrance fee for Thai citizens. Visitors can choose between renting a bicycle for 20 baht per day or taking a tram for 20 baht per person. For those who are physically able and can tolerate the sun, I recommend renting a bicycle. Must-see temples within the park include Wat Chang Lom, Wat Chedi Chet Thaew, Wat Khao Suwan Khiri, and Wat Nang Phaya.

After a long day of cycling under the sun, you might be feeling exhausted. To recharge before bed, I recommend a restaurant called "Krua Sukhothai." This spacious restaurant serves delicious food and is conveniently located near Le Charme, our accommodation. The restaurant boasts delectable dishes and is within walking distance, making it an ideal choice for a satisfying meal.

The breakfast buffet at Le Charme is located near the swimming pool and is not very large. However, the food is delicious and definitely worth trying.

The buffet line on the day of my visit included steamed rice, stir-fried pork with basil, sausages, bacon, ham, an egg station, cornflakes, milk, fruit juice, tofu pudding with fruit salad, and fruits such as watermelon, rambutan, and pineapple. The dishes that impressed me the most were the stir-fried pork with basil and the fried egg. These two dishes were so outstanding that I hardly paid attention to any other menu items. For the fried egg, you can request specific ingredients to be added.

This is my experience staying at Le Charme Sukhothai Resort from June 28-29, 2017. For easy understanding, I will summarize the review as follows:

Design: The design is average and did not particularly impress me. It is more open, airy, and comfortable. However, those who prefer a simple room with a touch of Thai style might enjoy this type of accommodation.

Cleanliness: This aspect easily passes the test. The room and its surroundings are both very clean and tidy.

Amenities: The room comes equipped with all essential amenities. The Wi-Fi signal is stable and fast. However, the common areas are somewhat limited, offering only Thai massage and a swimming pool. Adding water bikes or kayaks to the lotus pond would likely enhance the guest experience.

Travel: This resort is conveniently located on a main road and is close to the Sukhothai Historical Park, making it easily accessible for travelers.

Sleep: Although the air conditioning is not automatic, it works smoothly and without interruption once turned on. Combined with the spacious bed and comfortable pillows, my sleep here was another comfortable night. However, there are a lot of mosquitoes outside the room in the evening, so I don't recommend anyone to sit outside and relax. Otherwise, you might get bitten and feel unwell without realizing it.

Employee service: The staff were friendly and welcoming. I have no complaints about their service.

Breakfast: Although the variety of food on offer may not be extensive, the quality is excellent, especially with the inclusion of an egg station offering made-to-order omelets. This is likely to be a hit with both children and adults.

Summary: Le Charme Sukhothai Resort is another interesting accommodation option in Sukhothai province. While its overall design may not be as outstanding or distinctly Thai as Legendha, the resort's large lotus pond, comfortable room design with subtle Thai influences, and close proximity to Sukhothai Historical Park (within walking distance) make it appealing to many. However, this type of accommodation may not be suitable for young people seeking trendy or stylish accommodations or those looking for smaller rooms at a price point below 1,500 baht per night.
