Greetings! This trip, I will take you on a tour of Loei, experiencing new perspectives and unique encounters. First, I would like to express my gratitude to the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) for facilitating this Loei tour. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Thank you very much.

Get ready to explore Loei! At 11:30 AM, as soon as the plane landed at Loei Airport, I must admit that I was very excited because it was my first time visiting this place. Without further ado, I picked up my luggage and got on a van, heading towards Na Haeo District, the first destination of this trip. The journey took about 2 hours. The first thing that impressed me was the breathtaking scenery of lush green mountains on both sides of the road. The thin mist added a romantic touch to the atmosphere, making it perfect for a trip with a loved one.

Upon arrival, the village headman of Ban Saeng Pha, the owner of the land, provided information about the tourist attractions and led me to pay respects to Luang Pho Phet for auspiciousness on this tour of Loei. Let's get to know this place together with "Wat Si Pho Chai". Wat Si Pho Chai Saeng Pha, Na Haeo District, Loei Province.

Wat Si Pho Chai Saeng Pha is an ancient temple over 400 years old, surrounded by nature and mountains. The architecture of the ordination hall is said to resemble that of Wat Chiang Khong in Luang Prabang, Laos, and is considered to be very beautiful. It was built around 1654. Many people may find it familiar, as it has been used as a filming location for TAT advertisements on several occasions.

Despite its long history and beauty, the temple shows signs of wear and tear. It houses the Tripitaka palm leaf manuscript library and the Phra Phet Mondop, which are must-visit sites for blessings. Every year in mid-April, the temple hosts the grand Flower Procession Festival, a tradition that has made the temple famous.

After experiencing the ancient culture of Wat Si Pho Chai Saeng Pha and feeling the blessings of the temple, I headed to the next destination, not far away, the **"Phra That Din Daeng"**.

The sentence is already in English and does not require translation.

A Unique Destination: The Earthen Stupa of Din Tan

Just a few kilometers from Wat Si Pho Chai Saeng Pha, you'll encounter the extraordinary Din Tan Earthen Stupa. This unique landmark, revered by the people of Saeng Pha district, stands as a testament to their faith and boasts a history spanning over two centuries. The stupa's distinctive feature is its earthen mound structure, culminating in a revered stupa at its peak.

The village headman of Baan Saeng Pha informed us that every year, there is a ceremony to celebrate the Phra That Din Daeng, which takes place on the full moon of the 12th lunar month, or Loy Krathong Day. This is a practice that has been passed down through generations according to local beliefs. In addition, something that visitors should not miss is the worship of Phra That Din Daeng. This is done by carrying soil up to pour on the stupa, according to each person's ability. One bucket of soil is equivalent to 100 baht. Those who have made a vow or have faith can carry up as much as they wish!

As the sun began to set, we boarded a vehicle to return to Dan Sai district for the night. The next day, we would have the energy to explore Loei city.

A refreshing morning with the atmosphere of the people of Dan Sai... the weather is a bit cool, with a little fog, making it very enjoyable. After soaking in the morning atmosphere, I continued my journey to Phu Ruea District and ended the night in Chiang Khan. After traveling for a while, I stopped for a cup of coffee and enjoyed the romantic atmosphere (it's even better with a partner) at Phu Ruea Ruen Mai Resort.

I highly recommend and give a thumbs up to this accommodation, Phureua Wooden House Resort. It's a mid-sized resort that prioritizes simplicity and harmony with nature. It also actively preserves traditional agricultural practices. The surrounding landscape boasts rice paddies bursting with vibrant green rice stalks, while the distant mountains are often veiled in a mesmerizing mist. It's truly a breathtaking experience! Don't miss out! If you'd like to see it in motion, head over to their Facebook page for a live stream of this idyllic paradise.

For those interested in experiencing this wonderful atmosphere, you can find more information at .phuruarounmairesort. Starting prices are only 700 baht per night. I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

After immersing myself in nature and recharging at the Phu Ruea Wooden House Resort, I quickly got into my car and headed for Chiang Khan. The journey from Phu Ruea District to Chiang Khan District took about two hours, as it rained intermittently throughout the trip.

Upon arriving in Chiang Khan District, my destination was the Chiang Khan Walking Street. However, I was slightly disappointed because it was raining, and the atmosphere of the walking street was not very lively. There were not many shops along the street... But since I was already there, I had to find something delicious to share with my friends. So today, I would like to share with you the overall atmosphere and some must-try shops that you should not miss. Chiang Khan Walking Street.

This trip's must-try restaurant is Huen Luang Prabang, located near the middle of the walking street. It's a Lao restaurant by the Mekong River with a wide variety of dishes to choose from. The flavors are spicy and delicious, including Mekong River fish with chili sauce, minced pork salad, and original recipe khao soi. Don't miss it! Seriously, you won't regret it. Huen Luang Prabang

Full and satisfied! It's time to find some snacks and souvenirs for my friends. Let me tell you, the prices here are not as expensive as you might think. Plus, there's a wide variety of items to choose from, such as local-patterned clothing, handmade goods, and traditional crafts.

In conclusion, I hope you enjoyed my journey through Loei City. If you have the opportunity to visit Loei, I highly recommend taking a day trip to explore its wonders. You won't be disappointed.
