Three Seasons of Mist
Mountains Piercing the Sky
Lush Green Forests, Kind People
Beautiful Traditions, Famous Land of Bua Tong
Following the well-known slogan that celebrates the stunning natural beauty of Mae Hong Son province, our travel destination was chosen by a random draw (or perhaps a more deliberate selection process). Our chosen location was the Tung Bua Tong field on Doi Mae U Kho in Khun Yuam district, Mae Hong Son province. Driven by a desire for nature therapy and a yearning for mountain vistas accessible by car, we embarked on a long journey from Bangkok to Mae Hong Son. The journey was said to be an unforgettable one, with over a thousand winding curves that could induce nausea in even the most seasoned travelers. (Is that really true? 555) Despite some initial queasiness, we managed to survive the drive.
Doi Mae U Kho welcomed us with a sharp curve like this, a thrilling hairpin turn.
This location boasts scenic roads and breathtaking viewpoints that will leave you speechless. (Our photography skills don't do it justice, so you'll have to see it for yourself!) Local vendors are also available to cater to tourists' needs, offering refreshments and local delicacies. Don't forget to support these friendly folks! P.S. It gets incredibly hot, so be prepared!
The breathtaking view of the vast field of sunflowers surrounding the white-clad figures compels me to reach for my camera and capture its beauty. I cannot let this moment pass without immortalizing it in photographs. Click, click, click, the camera shutters capture the essence of this enchanting scene.
The surrounding area offers stunning panoramic views, from vibrant flower fields to majestic mountains. It's the perfect spot for capturing breathtaking photos, whether you're looking for scenic landscapes or fun selfies.
With the feast for the eyes over, it's time to satisfy the palate. Let's find something to eat! What are we waiting for? Let's find a nearby restaurant.
A roadside restaurant with a spectacular view (Iber, the photo isn't very good again, haha). They also offer accommodation. In the northern dialect, they call it "tub," which is a triangular structure with an inverted angle. You can fit inside to sleep, and waking up there must be amazing. However, if you were to sleep there now, you would definitely turn into sun-dried pork.
I would like to explore a little bit below (but why am I taking a selfie?). I don't know either. Have you ever been to a place and wanted to be a part of it, even just a little? Like a picture to say, "I'm here, everyone!"
After a long and tiring walk, the moment we had been waiting for finally arrived. We dug into our food with gusto, savoring every bite. Let me tell you, it was delicious!
Moving on to other things now. Until next time... Farewell and good day.
